  • LSL Instruments have been building guitars since 2008 and is fast becoming one of the most sought-after guitar brands. Hand-made in Califonia completely by hand these instruments are not priced for the budget guitar market, but how good are they? The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.

I'm pretty sure they use CNC machines. Just to rough out the neck and body, cut fret slots etc. Things that require total precision. The neck profile and body contours are done by hand. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Wonderful playing, but that guitar is beautiful. It looks like it has a fantastic playing neck as well, and sounds great. I bought a Manson guitar last year, and it was very expensive for me. But every time I pick it up and play it, the quality and the playability of the neck puts a smile on my face. I don’t regret it at all😎

I've had my T bone, Bad Bone 2 for about ten years. it has the coil tap on both pickups, making it the most versatile guitar that I own. Love It!

That’s good to know Steve. Is there much volume loss when you switch to the split mode?

The word “cool” was invented for this guitar, the blue and the hardware looks marvellous, also the tone has so much character…

I’ve personally switched from coil tapping or coil splitting my humbuckers to switching from series to parallel. I find it to be a more usable sound as it still thins it out and gets in that single coil territory, but there’s less of a volume drop and it stays noiseless.

I would love to have that guitar! I can't afford it, but I don't think it's overpriced. Well... I COULD afford it, but I couldn't motivate it, what with me not being a professional, career musician.
    Great demo!

@The Studio Rats surprising you would let her go, she sounded immaculate and so satisfying here. Clarity, crunch, balls, and vibe abound here in this one!
I've a Saticoy that's my #1 and it's been the bees knees for me.

Great sound!! Getting my lefty with SS in a few days...can't wait. It'll have plenty of Tele company when it arrives....at 62, life-long player (non-pro)...I've come full circle and prefer a Tele. My USA Pro II is great....but even a well set up Squier CV50 with Fralin or Lollars can keep up...I want something 'over the top' before I die. Lefties have so few options as it is...

I feel you on that man. I am a lefty player too. I have a few G&Ls ASATs that are pretty great but still looking for "the one" been looking at the LSLs and Nash guitars of late. Hope you find the over the top one for you.

As you're such a Tele fan and you seem to know what's what with them is it possible you could borrow a Vintage Tele (the brand 'Vintage') as they seem to be such amazing value and obtainable. I and I'm sure many others would value your honest views on them.
