Love this video. All of it is true. I love his vids as well. I just found out about Jon about a month ago. Such a chill vibe that has inspired me to switch from my MPC X to an Elektron Analog Rytm, as I heard the Okto is rather complex. My time is more limited now days :/
I don't make hip hop (dark techno guy here) or use an octatrack (I do have a digitakt & syntakt though, go elektron) but I follow Jon firstly because I respect him as an artist (his albums are great), secondly because his creative philosophising is both interesting and thoughtful, and thirdly because he's basically entertaining to watch.
Appreciate you sharing your thoughts and opinions on Jon and Boon Doc, and it's the moments like these, that give off the inspiration and motivation to create. Love the video fam, and the beat was flames. I just subscribed!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
Lil Jon Lance Wayne is definitely a fire beat maker. Ever since i moved from drumming, to electronic drumming, now to flipping samples and making beats I've enjoyed his videos. my main samplers is the mpc 1000, sp 404 mk2, and the polyend tracker. I have an mpc one but honestly haven't used the sampler engine to chop yet (idk what im sleeping on, i keep buying plugins and instruments for it) kind of wish i got the live 2 so i could play in my bed. Tho watching him on the octatrack makes me want to play with one soooo bad. I have a Model cycles and thought about model samples but honestly should just get a digitakt or octatrak Also i appreciate the Boon Doc video (mpc 1000 sighting), and rad you got one also! I recently did the fat pad upgrade because my top row of pads i had to smack with a full fist to get it to work.

@@Labergemusic I was just playing up to the cult like Akai mentality just kidding around although I don’t know if any sampler can mess with the new MPC’s I’ve owned the 1000 in the past, but the MPC live 2 is my favorite sampler.

I'm literally sitting in front of an MPC!! You could make an argument for the MPC or even the Sp1200. I found the OT was able to so much more.

Mpc was never the best sampler. It always had the domestic sequencer.
They not even playing live ...its all prerecorded beats and head movements 🤣🤣
