    Great video. Thank you for posting. I could not agree more with your choice of tractor. I have the Grand L4060 version and absolutely love it. Have a little over 700 hours and have had it for going on 7 years now. Got it for the same reason as you - to move heavy firewood pallets around my yard. I don't use ICB totes though. I just frame the blue wood pallets. Funny thing I went from a Speeco quick-hitch to the Pat's quick-hitch when I added a hydraulic top-link. Just works better for me. Another change I made was to using an adapter to hook-up my pallet forks to the three-point hitch. Much more stable when moving 1800 pound pallets of firewood. The front end loader works fine lifting them but moving around on anything but flat ground is not for the feint of heart. With the forks on the back of the tractor much more stable. OH and never ever consider lifting a full pallet without some ballast on the rear. Ask me how I know that! Cheers.

      That’s great info. I didn’t realize they made a 3 point adapter for forks. Will def check that out. I have zero flat ground so I always put counter weight on the back and move slowly. Thanks for the comment!

    Awesome tractor. I also have a bundle firewood business. I’m looking to do the same thing. Upgrade. My JD2025R is a nice tractor but can’t lift full totes. Business is growing and need to keep up. Looking forward to more videos showcasing this tractor and your business.

      Thanks! It’s nice not having to half fill baskets, move them, then finish loading them. Once I get more seat time I will do another update. Good luck with your firewood business!

    Ahhh I wondered since you mentioned the Grand a couple months ago in your videos. Very nice!! This plus one size up in HP is the tractor I'd like as well, but in my case I don't really need it other than the additional HP would be nice if I want to start bailing hay in future years. Sounds like you got exactly what you need without going overboard. My 3901 is actually plenty big for what I need, almost too big for summer tasks but it will be nice in the winter months for snow removal. Last year we had a couple feet fall in a few days which drifted into 6-ft drifts over our lane, had to call a neighbor to come bail us out. Otherwise I have a lot of tight corners and spaces in our barn and around our yard, and anything bigger is just going to be more difficult to maneuver than it already is. I don't live in a wooded setting and only have goats, so I don't need too much for lift capacity. But boy is that 4060 a beauty!

      Thanks for the comment. The 4060 just fits down my trails and around my property. Don’t think I could go any bigger.

    Congrats! Looks like it will fit the build better. Surprised no backhoe attachment.

    Congratulations! I had looked at the grand L, but couldn't justify the extra cost for what I use mine for (L02). I don't use mine for business purposes though. Best of luck to you. I can't believe they don't include a better toolbox on the Grand L tractors though.

      Thanks! They are certainly not cheap but Kubota holds value better than most. If I didn’t need the higher hydraulic flow I was getting an L4802. I really like the update over the 01 series. Thanks for the continued support!

      @cabinviewventures I watched it. Like a towing one with the new tractor. Mpg loaded and unloaded. Very curious to see what it will be with the 4.30 gears

      I’m at 1,000 miles. So far unloaded is 14.3 highway and 12.2 country roads. I’m gonna need a bigger trailer for that Kubota, haha.

    Being a bigger tractor which probably has a little bit heavier weight the bigger rear tires which would be heavier because they're weighted you should have tried it without the box please because that would give you a shorter length for when you're turning or making a Ram turns in the tight Woodyard and maybe you don't need to have the box plate on all the time now that you've got an appropriate size tractor

      If I had a big flat yard to move it I would absolutely try that. I have all hills and uneven terrain. Literally nothing flat. It’s not worth the risk when it only takes me 5 minutes to hook up the box blade. Rollovers can happen extremely quick.

    How high can you lift the baskets up off the ground before it gets tippy?

    • @cabinviewventures
      @cabinviewventures  3 місяці тому

      I haven’t tried that yet. The highest I have lifted to move them is about 3 feet. The 805 loader lifts them with ease even at low idle.

    that's an E-HYDRO tranny right? did you like the PATS ez CHANGE better? it gives you more room to connect PTO plus if the quick hitch will not work with 100% of your attachments . well that's my thinking. you has both maybe do a comparison vidja?

    • @cabinviewventures
      @cabinviewventures  15 днів тому

      I really thought I would like the Pats quick hitch over the quick attach. The quick attach hands down is my favorite. Now all of my implements are quick hitch compatible minus my trailer mover. It’s so nice picking up and removing my box blade without having to get off the tractor. I use that box blade a lot for work and rear ballast.

    Wonderinh why not kubota MX?

    • @cabinviewventures
      @cabinviewventures  17 днів тому

      It was a strong contender. The 4060 LE was a little cheaper met all my requirements and is a good bit smaller than the MX. easier to tow and move around my log yard. It may have had higher hydraulic flow also but don’t quote me on that.
