I bought a doll and it was supposed to be a boy and it was a twin it had blonde hair and it arrive and it looks like Chucky it’s it’s from a reborn baby dolls

This is supposed to be a small Preemie about 17 in, but I’m actually surprised how good she did look. Usually they look so much worse or not even the same baby. Some people wait months or don’t receive anything at all. From what I have heard from others, these are stolen sculpts and these kits are knock off kits from China. If it does not have a certificate of authenticity from Bonnie Brown, then it is not a real sculpt. So sorry you were scammed. Please go through a reborn artist for your next purchase, reborns take 40-50 hours to create and can only be made by a reborn artist. A lot of these sites steal photos from real artists and use them to represent their work and then try to sell you a doll for only $89 etc. that kit alone, unpainted is well over $100, then the materials and time to create it, at least $350 minimum. 💗

This is a confusing situation. Some are stolen but others are either part of an agreement in manufacturing. The sculptor can get a generous discount if the manufacturer is allowed to keep seconds. Kits are made in China and Germany so the kits are the same product line.
I fought the same product and I was scammed, if you wnat a real quality one go onto Etsy, their expensive but you defiantly get what you pay for

My bf ordered this exact doll from an ebay seller. He knew she would look like that but the seller lied in the description and said that the doll was full vinyl and was posable and you could bathe her. She came in yesterday and she was trashed with stains and had a cloth body and wasn't posable. He sent her back yesterday and we hope he gets his money back. I'm sorry you got scammed.
Vinyl reborns are never “full vinyl”, and can NEVER be bathed. A lot of times they come with belly plates, or partial belly plates like the twin A and B kit does. Ask for a safety picture if getting a doll from Ebay if the seller’s rating is low and/or the doll is under $200 dollars. I hope you get your money back, but I have a feeling you’re in for a fight. eBay is lousy when it comes to refunds lately.
I think she’s beautiful! The original twin A is 17” and preemie , but many put her on a bigger body so that she fits newborn, because that size is easier to find clothes for. I think she’s really cute
Hi I’m Annie….i was naive and ordered a Diana doll (AA Saskia) from that company. When I took it out of the box, the arms and head were attached but the legs weren’t. Someone in the doll community told me that some companies do that for cheaper shipping. I don’t believe that BS one bit. So I was scammed. Never again!
The real twin A is only around 17" if on the recommended body. A lot of artists put them on a newborn body as it makes it easier to dress. Obviously she is a copy of the kit but she is the correct size xx

I just ordered the Meredith doll from that company along with an extra outfit. The doll was beautiful except that the hair keeps falling out. I doubt they glued the inside of the head after rooting it. But the biggest problem was the outfit they sent me was not what I purchased. I received one that was priced less than what I paid. I’m in the process of trying to get the problem straightened out but I’m not too hopeful. At least I used PayPal so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they will fight for me.

It's the quality of the rooting needle. All mine can be combed as thoroughly as your own and very little comes out. I still seal it.
Wash the babies hair once a month. Whenever you put lotion on your hands rub it thru the hair to keep it from being brittle. At first it will feel yucky but an hour or so and it's beautiful.
When you brush it keep anything that comes out for rerooting. I send repair kits with mine. Spot paint with sealer, 3 grams of hair with rooting needles, my own shampoo (makes the hair as shiny as new AG doll) and my own conditioner.😊

I would not consider that doll a scam. It was probably reasonably priced.

That is the right kit and the right size, she’s supposed to be a preemie kit. But she’s probably not vinyl. If it costs under a hundred dollars, or within a hundred dollars, it’s either second hand, and a lot of times well handled, or a China made knock off. I’ve been collecting for 14 years and have 8 reborns. One of the 8 is a twin A.
She almost looks like the real kit even tho she’s fake she’s still adorable ❤️

The site you bought from is a scam site and I’ve had a twin b by Bonnie and it was real , she was pretty small but that site steals kits .

I actually brought the same baby it was in great condition the box is really good my daughter was really cute and it was the same as that it’s not a scam it’s just not the way you like it or wanted it to be so it’s not a scam you could still shop there✨👌🏽
It’s a scam because the pics aren’t the same as the product so there lying and taking peoples money and some people get terrible things but I’m glad you liked it

It IS a scam when you Dont get what you ordered & paid for. The doll they sent me smelled Really bad 👎 also. I threw it in the trash! You never get your money back from crooks.
Imma just say yes some people steal others work so on so forth but here's the thing you need to actually know if the dolls a scam or not and actually look into the website before purchasing! If y'all are on a low budget or have barely any money to really afford an expensive reborn I do recommend Amazon, Austin drake galleries, or paradise galleries. I ordered my reborn off of Amazon and did not get scammed at all. Need to realize you just can't call something a scam without truly looking into it. Yes Amazon may sell cheap and some scam dolls but they're trying to make money to and not everyone is educated and knows about reborns. This doll is still cute and still adorable little TLC will fix her right up.
A lot of good quality reborns can be bought on IG, from a lot of reputable collectors/artists, even the creators of the kits themselves. But becareful of scammers even there, just like any where.

Actually the African American baby is so much cuter than the Caucasian baby. I’ve seen other videos where they painted the lips super bright pink or red. They look very unrealistic. Yes, these babies from there are dolls not reborns. They don’t paint them individually like an artist would do, they don’t use correct bodies & stuff & weight them. They use a type of spray paint & they go through machines. The kits are plastic not vinyl. But they are good for children & a good price.

This one is a knock-off, but the real twins are that size actually. They fit preemie.
Yikes ....definitely a fake kit .....twin A is very small .....but obviously she's not as detailed and realistic as she would be if a real artist had hand painted her .....should always order or buy from a well established reborn artist.....that way you'll get an amazing lifelike baby ....but if your happy 🤷♀️

I’m sorry. A lot of the websites for reborns are scams, except for Reborns.com That is actually pretty much real. Don’t buy the doll if it is a different kit name than you know it is.

If you're on a budget you can try eBay Mercari and Etsy because that is where I get all of my babies from and they are all life like made with genesis heat magnetic mouth and on Etsy you can do payment plans depending on the seller. just in case you or anyone reading this needed a Tip. I just purchased the Johanna awake baby for 70$ and that was on eBay and I must say I have not steered wrong yet.

Sorry but it can be I have two of the twin A and my twins are preemie so this kit can go either way in size. It depends on how you have them weighed. I have mine weighed to weigh like preemie babies at 3 and a half pounds and slightly below 4 lbs. so yes they can be preemie. This is is only 17 inches

They sell stolen copies of kits.None of the dolls are the real kits.The price should tip you off and they don't say the artist name.The babies are not weighted either.Also artists both kits and reborn do not sell thier dolls like this.As well as no coa.The cheap printed out birth certificate is not a coa signed buy the artist.
