I’m actually a fan of the Chantecaille 😄 I prefer it because the spf is mineral. Downside is the deepest shades can’t include the spf because it’s mineral and leaves a cast and that’s also why it has that heavier “pasty” consistency. The titanium dioxide has that kind of almost chalky feel.

Just the review I have been waiting for! I love both the Chanel Touch and Tint... I would describe them exactly as you did! Although they're expensive I love that I actually finish them... it feels like I'm getting my money's worth as opposed to the guilt I feel when I throw away most of my foundations because they're so past their expiration date that I'm afraid to continue to use😁
I've been wanting to to try the LE and after your review I think I'll give it a try. Thanks!

What a fantastic overview of these shin tints. Thank You! Perfect illustration that not 1 skin tint is good for everyone. Needs, climate, and cost are so important for makeup purchases. Sounds like none of these are bad. So helpful

Jen, don't worry, I'll keep it very short today. I gave up covering my skin with any complexion product at only 27yrs after moving to the freshest and cleanest air in Australia next to the Alps. I'll only use concealer and that's it. I eventually found a high SPF Suncreen (tinted) only about 2 - 3yrs ago that looks very much like a Skin Tint and that does me, plus a touch of powder when going out. I sometimes look at these other products but then think - what's the point? A great rundown, thank you.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨

Jennifer thanks so much for doing this video! I love both Chanel products especially in warmer weather. The Shisheido is something I’ll try getting for summer. The Sweed and D&G is interesting to me. BTW, I’m the one who would love a Sweed products review of whole line. I’ve purchased the mascara in dark brown after watching you which I do really like. WA I definitely would not get based on the fact of not drying down. I like skin care in the tint. LE because it really doesn’t give any coverage does go for me.

Hi Jennifer! Thank you for this great roundup of skin tints. I appreciate especially hearing about the type of skin each is suited for. I have tried many of these, and I do use and enjoy Chantecaille’s tinted moisturizer and Chanel’s water tint (I wish the latter had sunscreen). I have yet to try the LE - and that will be my next skin tint purchase (please update us on the darker shade you plan on testing). For me, thus far, nothing has equalled Coola’s Rosaliac - designed for rosacea and with a mineral spf 30. I am constantly told my skin looks fabulous when I wear it. Thanks again!!

Enjoyed the chat on these! 🌸 I remember mixing a drop of foundation into SPF or moisturizer back in the 90s, the least expensive way to go. I'm combo skin, dry cheeks. Dimethicone/silicones are a not good for me, unless the product has a very small amount. But as the top ingredient it emphsizes pores and shiny/pore areas of the face, not in a good way.
The top two here for my combo face are the Chantecaille, and the Chanel Teint. I like the Chantecaille tinted better than their cushion foundation, and it's because of the talc dry down. It holds oil at bay a good 6-8 hours for me, and very low amount of dimethicone. The Chanel is great for summer, but in winter below 20F I have to go oil tint to prevent chapping. I like the Kosas best, but they discontinued it. Might pick up one more on eBay, dunno. 🎉

Super good video, dear Jennifer, wow, a complete investigation, thank you!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩It, indeed depends what you want from a skin tint or light foundation, what day, which purpose? I really love the Lisa Eldridge one as well! The Shisheido one too, did not know they discontinued this! Interesting, also about the Seed Beauty one, the Dolce Gabbana, the Chanel, and where they are when it comes to coverage and what they do! The one i really do not appreciate, and i love all my Chantecaille skincare, is the skin tint from Chantecaille, it's thick. Thicker products CAN do something for the skin, like, Cle de Peau can do with their foundation. The Yves Saint Laurent NU: interesting! I almost do not see this product here in The Netherlands, i see it on Lookfantastic and on the YSL European website. I still have enough, besides the Lisa Eldridge and some left from the Shisheido, but my most used one, is it a skin tint, don't know, it's a tinted moisturizer i believe, is the SIsley one, in the tube, shade 1.5 i mostly wear, always go back to that one, really love it! But great recommendations, i really want to give that Chanel one a try, the newer one, there is not much in it which is bad for sensitive skin, keep that one in mind for when i have less products, but don't use makeup everyday. SPF is the most important thing in these seasons, just applied some extra from my Isntree tube, the blue/white, love that stuff! But what a super overview for us, thanks again, this is such a video to watch back, and back!!!!👏👏👏👏Have a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘

It’s interesting how different things can be from one person to the next as the Chanel water fresh tint is still my all time favourite but the Summer Fridays is next in line for the days I don’t want any shine etc on my skin as it soaks right in and feels and looks like the future skin foundation on my skin.
I put off getting the WA one from everyones reviews and turns out that I was missing out as that one sinks into my skin, I use it for my redder more sensitive days.
I do love the Lisa Eldridge one too 😊

    • @1hawaii21
      @1hawaii21 5 місяців тому

Yes I do like the D&G! My skin is normal leaning dry. My nose gets slightly oily as the day goes on. I lightly powder in the morning and I’m set for the day. I always wear SPF. I put it on then wait for about 5 minutes before applying anything on top. My current favorite is, Biore UV AQUA Rich, Watery Essence/ SPF50 +50+PA++++. It never pills or feels greasy on me. I buy it on Amazon. It’s made in Japan. It depends on how my skin feels on whether I first apply moisturizer. I rarely use a primer. For me I put on the D&G with a brush, then press it in with my hands. You can build it up a little. Just let it dry first. I also really like their blush. I bought 04, Cheerful Pink. It’s a bright pink leaning coral. It really goes on beautifully. It’s very buildable. My skin is light/medium but leaning on the light side. I tend to be pretty neutral with a slight bit of olive. Hope this helps you.

@@1hawaii21 Wow. Thank you 🙏🏻 Your skin type and color/ tone is similar to mine. I love the spf suggestion as well. The D&G blush and possibly bronzer are on my radar so you have me still keeping the blush on my list. ☀️🌸

Hands down best video on skin tints ever!! This was so helpful and definitely time well spent for me in watching. I love the LE so much but am considering getting a different one for days when I do want a bit more coverage as I also have rosacea. In one of your videos, you said the LE olive shades are touted to help reduce the appearance of rosacea. Would you recommend I try one of those shades or a different brand such as YSL, DG, or Sweed?
Thanks again for a wonderful synopsis of these products!!😊

But…I don’t love the SF product on, and the alcohol in the Chantecaille is far enough down on the ingredient list that I can use it. I think you might prefer the texture of the new Just Skin formula to the old one. I don’t find it as thick, personally, and it seems to calm my skin. I use that new lightest shade too, so I’m very happy with the reformulation.

I picked up the LE tint and it arrived yesterday, first impression was a love and I don't think I could have done a better job with the color match I got T10 it could have been a little deeper to be perfect but it's pretty good. Is your cap on the LE hard to put on ? I also like the U beauty tinted hydrator, I think it's the closest thing to the LE tint maybe more moisturizing . I have the YSL tint idk if I got a bad one but girl the scent is so strong in mine it bothers me and it lingers all day I can smell it but I love the tint other then that . I also love the Chanel water fresh tint but sometimes if my skin is really dehydrated it feels like it sucks the life out of my face . Tried the westman tint and hated it , it sat on top of my skin felt oily but drying at the same time and I have dry skin.
