A beginner's guide on how to play Ahri in League of Legends. This tutorial covers off some basic info on abilities, play style, combos, and how to lane and trade against enemy champs. If you want to play a jack of all trades champ that can do everything pretty well, give Ahri a try!

Ahri was the reason why I started playing League of Legends but at the time I wasn't very good so I stuck with Neeko ever since. But now that I know a bit more on how to use Ahri I'll give her another go!
She just takes a bit of getting used to with mana management, and timing your first back to get that lost chapter. From there have fun hunting for charm hits!

after playing support for the past 3 months as a new player, I think im ready to start trying other roles. Ahri caught my eye when I first started playing. I always wanted to come back to her when I understood the game a little more to confidently play Mid. This tutorial is super helpful! Answered a lot of my hiccups. Funnily enough, I'm a Zyra support main, so it's funny watching my current champ playing against the new champ I wanna check out :D

Thanks! If you watch some of my gameplay commentaries, I talk a bit more about macro gameplay thoughts which could help. That way you have some insight on how to win the map, beyond just the lane matchup which would be considered the micro aspect.

Amazing guide, was able to learn a lot from it. Could you suggest other items apart from Luden’s that we can use as the game progresses?
I'd always rush ludens, then sorcerer's shoes, and then shadowflame. after that, depending on the enemy team comp, you can just follow whatever the shop recommends :)

It would have been helpful to explain her ultimate a little more. That's still kind of where I'm a bit lacking with her.
Thanks for the comment! Easiest way to think about her ult is 3 flashes. How would you use three flashes in a situation? To escape a gank? To engage? To get a pick? To reposition in a fight? The complex part of using her ult is being able to recognize how to maximize the use of 3 "flashes" at any given moment. That sir, is part of the fun and journey you get to enjoy as you play more games! Hope this helps!
I do have one thing to say and it's that there is one other item that will be blocked if you go for the first one he recommends, and it's arguably better. Otherwise this was a good beginner guide :)

Sure thing! early on when you dont have lost chapter item for mana, try and stick to using Q only unless you see an opportunity for a full combo kill with e>w>q

thanks for these tutorials trying to learn Ahri, when i go against her i struggle a lot i use Diana, Ori, Akali and most of mid laners any tip to counter her.
Glad you like them! With Ahri, it's really all not getting hit by her charm, or the second part of her Q. Hide behind minions to stop the charm from hitting you, and just try to side step the second part of the Q.

Should I wait and buy the actual item or build up by those mini items that transforms into the desired item?
Any time you back to base, try and pend as much of your gold as possible, buying the smaller component items that will eventually build into the full item. Timing your backs to some of these mini item powerspikes would be a good goal in your lane. Ahri for example would be great to do a first back with 1300 gold to buy your lost chapter.

Can you explain ult just a bit better? :)
it's basically just 3 dashes, and each dash deals some dmg if you end up dashing near an enemy. use it as an engage to dash in, or as a disengage to dahs away :)
I really love Ahri, I’m learning how to play well with her, but the think that i don’t really understand is the runes..
Nice! She's a really versatile champ, so you can actually run a few different rune setups depending on your matchups. Right now the highest win rate runes on her are Electrocute-Taste of Blood-Eyeball Collection-Ravenous Hunter, Mandaflow Band-Transcendence
Landing the Charm is what I have the most difficulty of doing

@@ashleef7778 all good! ult is just short for ultimate ability, the ability you learn at lvl 6 that's tied to your R key. With Ahri, when you get to lvl 6, and learn your ultimate ability, you can press R to dash a short distance, and also deal some damage to an enemy champ that's close by. You can cast it up to three times by pressing R up to 3 times. don't stress, it's alot to learn, just take it slow, have fun, and you'll get there as you keep playing :)
@@ashleef7778 Flash is the summoner spell tied to your F or D key. It allows you to flash your champion a short distance on the playing field, so you can use it o get away from someone, or close the distance on them so you can hit them with your abilities.
