I answer the following questions in this video.
How do I fill my cars tires with air?
How do I fill my SUV's tires with air?
How do I fill my trucks tires with air?
How do I fill my tires with air at the gas station?
I'm a grown man too afraid to ask anyone how to do this, thank you for the help
I'm a grown woman too afraid to ask anyone. Glad I can always count on UA-cam.
same!
I’m 38 and right there with ya pal 🤣🤣🤣
Same bro…. 😎
Same!
10 years after you posted this, and I am so glad you did! I live on my own in a new, big city and I don't have anyone to show me these things. Thank you so much!
Do you think that if the owner changed the size of the tire it will be the same as the one on the label?😂
Do u have to pay for it or is it free? 😭
@@xotic_jt Depends on where you go, some are free, some are coin operated.
@@davidrojas5188why are you laughing at people? If they're watching this video, most likely they don't know how to do this and came to learn. There's nothing wrong with that.
Find yourself a man😂
Don't inflate your tires to the air pressure listed on the tire. Refer to your vehicle's recommended tire pressure specifications, usually listed on a sticker inside the door, gas cap or in the owner's manual.
6 years later thank you for the clarification
@@legxndares you think that if you change the size of your tires it will be the psi of the car label😂😂😂😂
@@davidrojas5188 yeah
@@legxndares No friend it's not like that hahaha
@@davidrojas5188why do people like you exist?
Thank you, I'm an idiot and needed this.
He doesn't mention you should put your tires at operating inflation level
@@redapollo6248 I’m also and idiot. Can you explain that to me?
@@musfun probably means there's a minimum amount of air that it should be filled with
@@user5214 ohh I see thank you!
No, he doesn’t mean that. He means that the max pressure, determined by the tire manufacturer, is the most pressure the tire is designed to handle before you risk compromising its structural integrity. Operating pressure, determined by the car manufacturer, is the ideal pressure the tires should be inflated to for that specific vehicle. The same model of tire can go on many different vehicles, and the same tire may need to be at 35 on one vehicle and 32 on another. By inflating to the max pressure, you leave no room for the tires to warm up and the air, and therefore pressure, inside to expand.
holy **** this is the best and most clear instruction video I have seen in a long time
Tire Psi is determined by the weight of the vehicle, the manufacturer of the car did the math and the correct pressure is in the door jam. The pressure on the tire is the max pressure the tire can handle, but because the tire manufacturer has no idea what car the tire is going on, they cannot provide you the optimum pressure for a specific vehicle. The number on the side wall of the tire is to warn you that if your door jam sticker requires a higher psi than the max pressure the tire can handle - then your tire is not strong enough for this car.
TheSolitaryObserver absolutely correct. the correct vehicle tire pressure is on the driver door at the bottom and that should be used, not the one on the tire
Thank you! Was wondering why they were 2 different numbers. Went with the one on the door since it was smaller
Thank you for the clarification!
Thanks man!
SO helpful, thank you!
NEVER inflate your tires to the max psi that is an accident just waiting to happen, especially at highway speeds. You always inflate to the recommended pressure, which is usually between 30 and 35 psi at most.
Recomended pressure is actually located in the door frame and it differes from car to car
Mines 38/36 for the front and back tires as the minimum. And it’s a little sedan. Varies by car.
Regardless of everyone calling you an idiot, thank you for your contribution. After watching the video and reading the comments I've got a much better understanding of how to do it!
+888EKO888 Ditto. Same here.
I UA-camd this before going to the gas station to not embarrass myself😂
God bless you for this video, sir. I am a young millennial guy who only recently started driving. I just filled my tires today and thanks to you info, I might actually save money on gas.
IMPORTANT! !!!!!
*********
Don't listen to this guy. Car tires should NOT BE filled to max psi. This can be extremely dangerous as you are decreasing the contact patch of the tire tread on the road. This can cause you to lose control of your vehicle!!!!
There are a few situations where you would fill tires to max psi. Trailers tires are one example of this
yes usually the optimum amount is in the door on the sticker or in the manual
Dude 10 years later and this just came in super helpful thank you so much!
Finally! Sweet and simple. Thank you! Watched like five other videos on putting air in tires. This was the shortest video and I finally get it! 👍
ain’t got no dad to show me shit appreciate these typa simple videos
Honestly, I feel slightly embarrassed when I have to search things like this, so I'm grateful for tutorials like these! I guess you could say I'm more "book smart" and I sometimes become apprehensive trying to figure out all the things that normal people already know how to do.
Thank you for this video, and also thanks to the commenters…. Had no idea the recommended psi was on the side of my door all this time! It is super easy!
When my car gave me a warning message low tire pressure. I decided to fix it myself this time. So I watched your video, went to a gas station and filled all my four tires to 51 psi, which is the max. Then I called my boyfriend to brag about it, which scared him to death. He asked me to drive as slow as I can to a nearest gas station and release all four to 32, which I did. Boys and girls, if it is your first time to fill air in your tire, do not trust this video please. NEVER fill to the maximum!
Wow you are awesome !!! Clear and easy instructions. I was always scared to full up my tires and paid 5 for some one to do it. Thanks !!!!
Same and dude still did it wrong
Thank you! Just got a car a few months ago and I was not taught how to fill the tires, this was very helpful!
Thanks, these pop-out gauges are not common in my home town so this was helpful. I'm used to digital gauges as the norm.
It is June 2022. I am familiar with pumping my car with air. However, it's been a while and I'm driving my dad's car and was afraid of pumping the air myself. Lol. But I wanted to do it before giving his car back to him. I forgot how to use the air pump gage thing, so I googled quickly for times sake and your video popped up first. Thanks for your resource as it saved me time to look into it more.
Also note that you shouldn't trust the gas station tire pump's readings. Always use your personal gauge first before heading out. If your trusted gauge reads 28 and the station's gauge reads 26 but your rec tire pressure is 33, just pump it up to 31 at the gas station. Then use your own gauge to see if the tires are at 33.
Just saying.
Had my car since 2016. Never had to put air in my tires. Until now. Thank You for uploading.
POV: you’re watching this video because you’re in your early twenties and it’s the first time you’re having to do any of this kind of shit
This was very helpful to me this morning. Thanks for sharing!
So glad you posted this! I’m young with my first car and no parents to ask 😢 thanks so much!
You should inflate the tires not according to max what they can handle but according to what your car manufacturer wrote on the side of the driver's door. It is usually 32PSI (in all cars that I have seen so far).
@SwallowingTheRabbitWhole follow whatever manufacturer recommended. If it says 34 then inflate to 34 psi.
33 on 94 Accord LX
I can drive standard but did not know I can check the recommend tire pressure by looking at what’s displayed on my tires, LOL. Thank you sir
Straight to the point thank you! Been driving on a flatish tire for a week now because I didn't know what to do
That was fast and easy!! I needed help with this man wow
Thank you. I'd forgotten how to use ths type of air machine. I've been spoiled by the air machine that you plug in the amount, and it's done automatically.
Do not fill your tires to the max psi, they build pressure with heat so after driving a bit you'll be over the max psi
Thanks for posting this video on UA-cam 10 it’s easy, quick & understandable 👌
Thank yor for creating and uploading the video! It really helped!
Thank you for being the dad I needed
it is so much easier than I thought I was really struggling
Thanks Rick I needed help with the volume of air required
THANK YOU!! Just saved me from having an anxiety attach.
thanks so much!! with help of your video, I filled air to my tire for the first time !!
Thank you. Quick. Easy. To the point 😀
PERFECT tutorial - Thank you …
Thank you. I missed the due time at the car place I go to. So now I will have to do this myself. This was very helpful.
Update. It went well. Mine didn’t have the gage on it but I worked around it. This still helped and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Thank you.
Thank you from the men who grew up with no dads but were too afraid to ask 👍🏼
Thanks! Every other video on this over explained it and made it sound difficult
Thank you no one ever taught me this ❤
Thanks for the help. Now to put it into action
Thank you! Showed this to a friends child and they also say thank you
Thank you for this video!
Very simple and helpful
It's better to bring your own air PSI gauge (Mine cost $2.50 at a local auto store) to measure since some of the gas station's air pumper's psi gauge either doesn't do accurate measurement or it got stuck.
Seriously...THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thank you thank you thank you!! Great and clear video
There are two maximum and functional. Functional that what you should keep for car to run, you can find it at car doors and maximum is there to warn you about tyre limit.
Thank you so much for this 🙌🏻❤️
thank u for your service
Thanks! Really useful and quick!
Ohshizitseli awesome glad the video could help:)
Helpful video. Thanks!
Helpful! Thanks!
Ok thanks. I was asked by my parents ti fill the tires while they are away. Never done this. Gonna make my way to the station and hopefully do it right.
thank you, I was in panic mode and called my son to help me inflate tire....
after watching video, I 'll give it a try myself!
You seem lovely
This saved me thank you!😊
Thank you! This helped me! 🥰🙏🏼✌🏼
Thank you for the video
The most simple video ever❕
very helpful thanks
When she asks you to fix her tire pressure and you’re trying to look competent- hope this works thanks man!!
It'll work:) you got this
Recommended PSI remains the same regardless of the tire you are using on your vehicle. Always fill to recommended pressure, not to max.
saved my ass tonight when i was stuck with a broken air pump at my nearest gas station thank you
Helpful video.
I might add and reference other people's useful comments in this comment section though with regards to max and functioning psi.
Thank you so much bro you saved me today I love you bro
You're a hero
Thank you for sharing ❤
The tire psi is the max, you wanna go with the sticker on the crevice of the driver door which would be the recommended amount of psi
My mud tires say 65psi, but I have them at 40 and they look pretty full. Should I add more because I'm worried they might blow up at 65.
thanks for the video!
Thank you Sir!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you so much!!
thank you, my dad wouldn't teach me
Anish Dutt same
What a deadbeat.
Same
@@whifflingtit9240 he ain't deadbeat. . . . Just didn't have patience to teach me that's all
Mine taught me a year ago and he died and I forgot so I’m just gonna drive low pressure & pray I die cuz I’m too pussy to do myself in
Thank you ! I know nothing on this. Yay! I can try. My tire s reading low
The correct inflation will be in the owner's manual or a sticker on the car door. Don't inflate to max PSI.
Thanks man!
Thank God this video was straight to the point and hella easy to follow...I gotta air up my tire
He's wrong though.
I have no problem inflating my tires but to be honest I still don't know if I'm parking correctly in front of the machine. Are you supposed to park with the front pointed towards the machine, or pulled up next to it sideways?
So the service stations air compressor will more than likely have a tire gauge on their machines? This means I can go to one, check my cars optimal psi reading from my door sticker and also see what my current psi is by plugging the compressor in, and then just inflate until i get the correct psi. (in other words, I don't need to buy a separate tire gauge for myself?)
Thank you!
Nice video. I'm going to do it tonight
Wheeze it best to see the manual and the tire psi chart in case you don't know. I know my car has the chart for back and front tires psi including the spare one.
thank you for this
Thanks. My dad isn’t here to help me. And being alone at night, as a girl, sucks
Hi I’m like super dumb and scared of tire here. I did this today, my car is Civic. I put air to 41, or 42 and didn’t put anymore air.
After I start my car, my car still says “ Tire Pressure Low “
did I do something wrong ?
Female here! Learnin how to do air in my tire by myself from this sweet spoken man who I'm appreciative of. After me & my fiance being together since we were teens & just broke up after over a decade, & my dad doin these things for me before that, idk what I'm doin. & my dad 90% is just miserable to be around & I decided I don't wanna ask him for jack shit! I can do this on my own! 💪
Holy shit, I’m here for the exact same reason. It’s so painful but we got this gf 👏🏼👏🏼❤️
44 psi is max pressure not operating pressure.
32-34 psi is operating pressure, will be written in your owners manual or on the sticker on the side of your door.
what if the tires are not OEM?. The owner manual or sticker does not say anything about non-OEM tires. What if he happen to get a much thinner tire with bigger wheels? or vice versa.
JinSaysHello Any after market tire of similar size will follow that posted in manufacturer sticker. example:Toyota corolla 2008 stcker says P195/65R15 operating pressure 30 psi for front & rear. Spare T125/70R16 60 psi.
So always consult with car manufacturer or tire manufacturer about operating pressure for different size/thin/thick/big tires.
Thanks really helped
Is there some trick to getting the nozzle on the tire valve smoothly? When I do it I have the hardest time getting it on right. I feel like an idiot at the gas station. I know to use the door frame sticker.
I have no idea. I've noticed on some tires it's much easier than others.
Very helpful,now i know
Really dumb question but im just verifying, the gauge goes by 2 right?
me sitting at the gas station: 👁👄👁
39 year old woman ashamed to say I will be doing this for the first time, today. 😅 Thanks for your guidance!
He never said fill to the max he said don’t go over it..yall owe him a apology even 10 years later
Theres spec that you should use on the door jam of your car. Use that to get the best gas milage.
