Collated screws are the way to go! You can hang about 25-30% more boards per 2-Man crew each day. It’s also great to increase the speed of apprentices working alongside experienced dry wallers. This video shows the old magazine. The newer version, SD-M2 can be used for up to 2” long screws. The SD 4500 Screwgun also has a constant-run switch to increase speed and decrease carpal tunnel injury from constantly squeezing the trigger. It has a grip on the body that should be used too, instead of the handle, for better balance. And for added comfort, use the smaller 2.6amp or 3.0amp battery. Look for tool kits, including the SCO 6 Router and SID 4 Impact Driver. They offer deals and if you work with an Account Manager, they’ll package together a sweet deal. Call them at the end of the month for the best pricing.
