- Опубліковано 17 вер 2024
- This is my full and exhaustive review of the Brocock Commander and Bantam Sniper HR. Yes, this rifle keeps coming back dressed in new clothes, due to its popularity. This time a fully beefed up Bantam and a foldable stock Commander version. I have the .22 and .25 versions in UK and Export / USA power. No stone left unturned, the full beef in this video, I am not chicken about anything I say.

Anybody else on here that just misses the good old school break barrel rifles n pistols n underlever spring pistons or gas rams? What about the multi pump pneumatics? The multi pump crosmans are great for customising n puttin your stamp on them. All this technolgy that uses a tank or an external stirrup pump would not fare well in a survival situation. I wouldnt buy a pistol or rifle that relies on an external power source. People like to get that good old 70,s early 80s nostalgia feeling that reminds them of their childhood n the good old days were u could enjoy campin with your airguns n shoot targets n stuff as long as u were sensible n hidden so not to alarm anybody without the fear of a team of armed police. My favourites are the All the best from lancashire U.K
Quick follow up. On the Commander you can remove the muzzle brake to add a silencer as with the Bantam, however you cannot add to the muzzle brake itself. Apologies if that bit was unclear.
Cheers from the States!!!!!! Thank you for all you do! Love content, honesty and all the charm you bring to the viewers!
never had any problems with my MK1 bantam. shots very accurately at 30 yards achieving ctc groups of 6mm. its never been tuned or modded. very very happy with it. so much so I am about to purchase the Commander. like with everything else you will hear and remember the odd horror. story
The folding stock version is sweet. I have short zippered cases that would handle it. Regulated, folding stock with adjustable length of pull and cheek piece, adjustable power, multi&single shot, cerakote, barrel removal, adjustable reg., 2guages. It may not be perfect, but it has many nice features. I'd wait till it's been out for awhile and Brocock has tweaked it a bit. You shoulda sent a few hundred rounds through the chicken on fast forward video. Tks for what you do.😸
Very nice honest review Giles. I was interested in these two rifles as they offered things i was looking for, high shot count in FAC, adjustable power, all in a compact rifle but the fact you have to use the single shot tray to get the best accuracy as the mag shaves lead off the pellets just isn't good enough for me plus going by some of the comments below it might be one of those rifles you which you'd never bought as sending rifles back and fourth to England from N'Ireland to get fixed gets very expensive very quickly. Its a real shame but hopefully Brocock will get their act together soon as i'm sure everyone wants to see these rifles shoot as well as they look.
"I say I say boy. You need a chicken hawk." (Foghorn Leghorn)
hope they all work better than the none reg bantam, by the 3rd time i had to take it back i wanted my money back i had had enough, if i remember right about the law regarding length which wasnt originally meant to affect sub 12, as long as the gun isnt conceilable its ok thats the reason for 6ftlbs on pistols they are conceilable or stealthy.. 2 videos in one eve bud are you getting over time hahahaha good to watch you again mate.
Giles, I hadn't laughed so hard in some time watching your videos! Specially after you Punted your Dead Bantam across the field! O-M-Gee, LOL Hahahaha
Will be seeing you in a couple of weeks here in AZ, take care!
I have a Commander and its as accurate if not better than my impact, I would have liked a folding stock but it wasn't available when I got mine - I think I'll give them a ring , I updated my rear stock for the Fab Defense with the adj cheek piece. Great review, at least you shot it and didn't just have it on a bench and talk about what it 'may' be able to do like some other review channel.....
Brilliant I cannot stop laughing that bloody chicken. great review
great vid giles very funny but get the impression you werent 100% impressed with the bolt or magazine i have a compatto i bought when they first came out and its been a great problem free rifle.its been my main ratting rifle until i got an impact x a couple of months ago, another superb rifle
Been there, done that, will never ever buy a Brocock ever again.
I have a compatto, wish I'd bought a weirauch instead.
was originally looking at the bantam but heard quality control for them can vary so went with a bsa
@@llamedosr7843 had the hilight, could not get it to group on an A4 page at 30m, had it at the dealer twice, cost me an extra R2500 and about 5 weeks to get it reasonably right. Sold it, bought fx wildcat and I am a very happy chappy shooting doves at 100m plus
Danie was your Compatto faulty from new or did it develop a fault, I've had mine for 7 months and put 6000+ pellets through it now and is still the most accurate pcp rifle I've had so far but have read a few people had problems with there compatto but never say if the problems are the rifle or Brocock.
@@Brunosdad I had issues from the getgo and I bought it new
I like the rubber chicken getting in the way alot.
Funny and honestly man... i do love to view from beginning to the end....
Law Tactical make a device that allows you to transform a normal AR-15 stock to a folding stock (including buffer tube extensions etc. I don't see why one of them can't be used on the Commander, especially if the Commander's "buffer tube" uses the generic thread size! That should help with UK laws too as it would add another inch or so to the the length where buffer tube and block meet.
If it doesn't charge on the left, I ain't interested. I shoot right handed, so I charge with my left. I'm Vulcan and RAW all the way.
Thanks your video is always informative.
Put the muzzle brake on the end of the suppressor, it will look even meaner!
I bought the Commander, been looking forward to Giles' review.
Good one, loved it when you going to dig out the box of old guns that we talked at the show. David Johnson UK. New name as to many trolls.
Awesome video Giles. I have the unregulated Compatto, really wants to make me upgrade, or at least have the Huna regulator fitted to my rifle.
Great airgun review Giles. Funny wording, you are awesome Giles!
If only we could have the good stock in the uk! I’d definitely buy one
As usual, great review video!
It's about time Brocock (or Daystate or whoever owns who at the moment) re-engineered the unusable magazines and replaced them FOC to all purchasers of Compatto, Bantam etc. The single feed tray is equally bad, as Giles noted. If the single feed tray was redesigned without the deep back stop it could actually work. I have to hand feed all pellets if I actually want to hit anything (without the single feed tray being fitted).
Great Review Giles
Thanks for uploading. Thumbs up!
After the 3rd time with the rubber chicken, NFL treatment down range lol
I love the added comedy. lmaO!!!!
great review. am really interested in the commander . Would like to see metal single shot trays but i guess you could have one milled
Great video Giles. I have had a compatto for 10 months and love it. I really like the look of the commander, but the wife wouldn't be amused. On another note , any news on the lee Enfield smle steel bb gun replica????
Nother good job.
Brilliant!
I have been watching you for many years and I love the simple straight forwardness of your show. But you are getting really goofy and silly lately. I LOVE it !! Your more down to earth than some of the serious folks out there. Come on! there just air guns.. Right? keep up the great work and your wife is funny! Cheers from to USA... ( I own a Marauder .22) I wish I could put a moderator on it but can't buy them here, needs to come with them on it.. you are a riot!!
Great review, funny and informative. Been looking at the bantam for a while. But means selling my airwolf mct? Could i ask which you prefer? Big decision for me.
Hi Giles from Wiltshire . Loved the Video as i always do , as you are fairly close to us here in Wilts do you ever do meet up's in Bristol at the Gun shop in town ,if you ever do i would like to meet you as it is nice to see a south weston'er on Y/T . it wouldbe nice to meet the man infront of the camara to maybe get a little advice about shooting for some one who's do some but not alot , ( back yard plinker /pester ) as we as viewer's see you at a Rifle Range quite alot doing your shooting , i would love to test out my BSA Spitfire's there ,to see just how much i still need to learn . If it happened to be at a meet up with you , that would make it a day out to Remember .
hey Giles, like usual funny stuff and great content, but i could not but notice how much these 2 air rifles have similar look from another air rifle company "F cough cough X"... on the other hand you did not mention anything about the trigger how smooth or not smooth it is and if it is adjustable, for me the trigger can make all the difference .... great stuff like usual, keep up the great work :)
No, Beavis
You did my head in with the chicken so Only watched half the vid
Hello Giles, About to order FAC commander with aluminium bottle. Can I not change cylinders out in the field.
Transferport choke does save air.
As always good review I love the humor you put into these! Honestly I don't think a bantam is for me if I'm going to spend that much money I'll save the extra and buy a red wolf. If you haven't you should give the Umarex Gauntlet a try. My .22 cal model is a tack driver extremely accurate and are efficient and modifications are available to make even better. I can't wait till the .25 gauntlet comes out hopefully it does soon then I will be seeing you guys at extreme benchrest 2019. I hope to see you there God bless and good shooting!
Hi giles will you be producing a review of the bsa r10 se as iv been looking into one but would love to see a review from you about it. 🙂
still happy with the wildcat?still in doubts what to buy.........
if the bantam has basically the same inards as the commander , how much of these parts does the compatto share
That running gag... 🖖🏻😎🇫🇷😇🖖🏻
Well I've not seen a gun more thoroughly destroyed on test in such a gentle, comic and some would say annoying way, rather like the faults you have outlined on the Bantam. If you spend your hard earned pennies on either you need your bumps feeling I would say as it looks like a real cock up (the pun you missed)! My mate just bought the Brocock Compatto Sniper and after the first outing had to hand it back to the shop as it was shooting 13-14 ft/lbs for a legal gun. Not good, so it seems design and quality control at Brocock need to get their act together. Conclusion - I wouldn't touch either of these.
Good review. The rubber bantam chicken joke was funny the first time only.
So funny had to watch it twice.
What scope is that your using that has the floating dot reticle?
nice review as always Giles keep up the hard work. where did you get that scope cam mount ? please reply :0)
So it still don't have the looks of a Weihrauch. Which shouts quality over even the FX.Many many years back HW100's came out with side lever cocking. All others stayed with bolt design setup. Then Air Arms went side lever and FX and everyone said how great it is. Apparently the best thing ever. But HW100 had it moons before them on. Hw100's were always regulated. Others only recently started making it also standard . Built quality and overall all feel on the new guns to me feels they cutting corners finishing them off. Even the woodstocks are super thin made and seems cheap feel in hand. To me Weihrauch stayed true to airrifles which you pick up. And just know you've got something that will last and had decent craftsman work on it. They also just seems more worked off and refined. True less shot count over Carbon cylinders. But they just feel and look better. Even FX that was hailed for smooth twist barrel. Now on Impact 2 is going to rifling again. Through all of the other changes. My trusty 5.5mm Hw100 as been punching reliably and boringly accurate holes through targets over the last 10 years. Do I mind filling after every 30 shots. Not at all.
I'm a easy laugh Ha ha squeeeeek!
I have a question how much do u pay for buying your rifle scopes
To Airgun Channel bloke. Can you please do a review of the Stoeger X10 Thanks
Surprised you didn’t shoot the damn chicken in the end
shame about the mag and the single shot tray. Inexcusable in my book. maybe that'll be ironed out in Gen 2 designs.
Sooner keep my kozaks , than own a Brocock
Lol Love the vids me dog wear looking for the toy to haha
Damn chicken!
Hey Guille is there something wrong with you tube? I always find myself unsubscribed from your channel also to Matt Dubber's channel,, I have to subscribe again and again
Where can i get this airgun?
That poor chicken!
Ring that Bantams beck will you, once or even twice funny after that horrible; try using it for target practise otherwise video very good keep them coming but without the bantam.
A friend of mine ordered one three months ago and it will arrive in februari...that's just rediculous, are these airguns made by snails??? comoooon, six months wayting...by then new models will have come out
mantap
how much..each other
Sounds like a bit of a dead duck not a bantam. Brocock used to be about innovation and quality

What’s with the squeaky toy?
Who the hell keeps putting that rubber chicken in this chair. Damn have some respect for the guy.

NICE KICK GILES !!!
Never would touch brocock again !! Bought the compatto 11 months after it had launched had it 3 months only used it in total 45 days rest off the time brocock factory being fixed.. £680 wasted just got rid...so pissed off our stopped shooting for a while..would never recommend any of the rifles as the design is still based on the original. ..crap
Оружие класс!
lndonesia present.. ✋✋✋
Shame they put that FAB Defense junk on it.
I thought brockock was spelt brokecock
🐓😂
Blimey, doesn't sound good in terms of the mag *or* the tray!
umm, anyone else laugh at BroCock?
I love your reviews and sense of humor but the Bantam that chicken joke was lame. Once was too much.
"TRUMP supporter" go republicans!
Yay! Let’s hold two rifles at once and keep waving them in the air. Then moan when airguns get banned..............
Stephen Cresswell Maybe we should stop speaking, walking, breathing even. I mean, we don’t want “THEM” to ban those things either, right! Perhaps London should make it illegal to stab people.
If you ever do another video with that squeaking toy, I will unsubscribe. That was annoying, more than anything else.
