    Great vid. I was shooting a PRS match with my brand new dasher when this vid dropped. I normally shoot gas gun but decided to switch to a open division bolt gun and almost everyone said go dasher. I have to say I love it! It's a lone peak fuzion action, bartlein 24" 1:7.5 barrel, trigger tech diamond trigger sitting in a MDT ACC chassis, berger 109 hybrid in alpha brass on top of 30.5gr of N150. I had 89 rounds on it when we went hot saturday morning. I knew it was going to speed up during the match and it did next to last stage that day. Thankfully I had time to hit the zero range to chrono/re-zero before the last stage of the day. (It sped up 43 fps but my sd/es dropped way down. Was really glad to see that.) It's a big change from a 6mm ARC gas gun and it's awesome.

      Agree with Piet, I'd want to supervise. Not too bad if using slower powders that you can't double charge with but there is still a lot you can get wrong until experienced.

    Great video.. was priming a bunch of 6mm GT brass watching this.. Good to hear you value consistency over speed. So far in my load dev I am running 110 A-tips at about 2889.. I can push 3K plus but 2889 is the most consistent so far. I shoot the Seekins Hit Pro rifle.

    Awesome video Piet. It’s legal for a shooter to use a electric bipod? Would love to see a video on you trigger and trigger mechanics. Even at 25% speed of the video, I cannot see the tension relief of the trigger when shooting.

    6mm Dasher, when you want to measure your barrel life in the dozens of rounds.

    • @karlsailor
      @karlsailor Рік тому

      Actually the Dasher is not a barrel burner at all. Think 2000-2500 round life.
      Most run about 32 grains of powder (Varget being one of the most popular) behind a 105-110 grain bullet. Most competitors run 2850-2950fps.
      Compare that to 6mm Creedmoor, which burns about 40grains of powder to reach speeds of 3000fps.

      Barrel burner. Harder to tune loads. Overkill for most applications. Great long range round using 115gn projectiles. Factory ammo and reloading components more readily available. Lapua does brass.
