Made a mistake. There are 24 memory chips on this card. 12 on the front and 12 on the inside. We only replaced the thermal pads on the 12 chips that contact the backplate. There is no need to replace thermal pads for the memory chips on the inside because we see a dramatic drops in vram temps while mining without needed to go inside the card.
I completely replaced the thermal pads and thermal paste. The thickness of the internal thermal pad is 1.5mm and the thickness of the thermal pad for the backplate was 2mm. A 120x120mm thermal pad plate for the internal thermalpads (1.5mm) was sufficient. For the backplate a smaller piece will be needed. I used UPSIREN 15W/MK thermal pads and SnowDog thermal paste. I added an active radiator with 2 coolers on the backplate. In 4K stress the GPU temperature does not exceed 68ºC and the memory temperature does not exceed 72ºC (previously it reached 98ºC). It took just 2 hours of work and it already improved the GPU's useful life by years.

I would remove the oil with iso before putting on the new pads it makes the new pads a bit better

What thickness of pads did you put on the backplate?
And on the back there are also pads. Why do you make a video if the plate does not open all the way?

That is correct. Our mistake. Replacing only the front vram thermal pads gives use sufficient temp drops. No need to replace the thermal pads on the back chips.

I have this card, it really overheats and does not perform well. Gets to about 91 degrees before it underclocks itself and starts performing terribly, my temps reach 95 degrees if I don't stop the game. Its REALLY loud too. I bought the card from respec on amazon. I tried this fix and it maybe dropped temps by a degree or two, still really troublesome. Not sure if I should just sell or it try to fix it, I can't seem to get to the thermal paste area so I'm not sure if I can change the thermal paste. Advice?
