🎧 Whoops! Looks like I accidentally made this a mono experience-audio only in one ear! 😅 Sorry about that! But hey, maybe it adds a unique twist to the tutorial? 😉 Hope you still find the technique useful and the content bearable. Thanks for sticking with me, one ear at a time! 🎬👂✨
It's the most funny thing when professional video editor have major editing mistakes in their video. It's like audio engineers having bad udio in a video
If you're lazy like me dont want to create masks with the pen tool you can use roughen edges to make the edge. Stack a few of them up at different scales.
I have watched this tutorial for the last two hours and I cannot get it. Maybe I'm missing something. It just feels like he skips a step when he starts working on the first page and it looks like he edits it in a separate composition, but it looks like the changes he makes in another composition automatically impact the image in another composition. It was just really confusing.
Thanks for the suggestion! To blend the text into the texture and achieve that grainy style, I used a paper texture on top of my text and background colour layer, set it to 'multiply' and then added a 'curves' effect and played with the settings. I’ll consider making a tutorial on that in the future!
Annoyingly, when I recorded this tutorial my microphone recorded in the wrong channel mode meaning it only comes out one speaker. I hadn't realised until weeks later when it was too late to correct! 😅
@@MotionCaddy No problem. I just very quickly moved headphones from my left ear to my right ear at superspeed so that it appeared it was coming from both ears. Sounded great.
After making the white solid and the mask, I can see a thin white line back in my main comp of where my mask is on the white solid. How do I get rid of that?
@@piekuuns That's because you invert the mask based on the vector made with pen tool. The modification made with Roughen Edges does not invert as well. No solution from me...
Apologies for not including the background details in the tutorial. Essentially, I used a paper texture from Google, set it to ‘Multiply,’ and then added a Curves effect, adjusting the settings until I was satisfied with the look. I’ll consider a follow-up tutorial on this in the future. Thanks for your suggestion!
Hey I need some help, so I am doing this but with tear in the middle ( north sides need white paper marks but I can't get it because the mask fills all the areas so what's the solution
Hi there! If you're following along with the paper tear effect tutorial, the effect you're looking for might be the Roughen Edges effect, which creates that torn or jagged edge look. You can find it in the Effects & Presets panel by searching for "Roughen Edges." If you're still having trouble, double-check that you're looking in the correct panel and that you’ve selected the right layer before applying the effect. I hope this helps! Also, if you meant a different effect, please let me know!
@@jennlozxo507 i think he just used a shortcut for pre-compose, if u r having the same question as me just right click ur composition and click pre compose
Ah, I see where the confusion is! I already had precomps set up before starting the tutorial, which is why I mentioned opening the first page (my precomp). I had two precomps: one called "First Page" and another called "Second Page." If you have a solid in your main composition, you can right-click it and select "Pre-compose," as mentioned above! Hope that clears things up. Feel free to ask if you need any more clarification!

Glad your left ear had a great time! Maybe next time, I'll give the right ear a solo performance. 🎧😉

This is absolutely incredible! love it.
Thank you so much!!!!! This is exactly what I needed, loved the "creative decision" 😉 with the audio 😆😅😅😆
Absolutely marvellous!!
I love this tutorial 🔥 and I would enjoy your content even more, if your videos had audio on the right ear too
This is gold! Can you drop the project files in the description?

Very helpful - thank you so much!

This is best tutorial..
my mouth literally dropped ,thank you so much dude
No problem at all! 😀
can you make a tutorial on how you blended the text into the texture and have this grainy style

@@MotionCaddy Thanks
HOLA!!! Muy bueno!! bien explicado. Gracias!! Saludos de Argentina. Carlos
¡Me alegro que haya ayudado!
Great tutorial. I would encourage you to work on the audio. At the moment, your vocals are completely panned to the left.

If anyone is facing any problem in listening to the audio then you should turn on mono audio on your desktop or mobile.

@@bbbgggppp962 on the mask layer Crank up the mask expansion to 4-7px, if you do this too much it will look strange but works for a small amount
could you post us how you did the background, please? it will be very helpfull

i had to download the video and put in an editor to make it go in both my ears....
i thought this video had no audio
What design space is used here?

Hi! 😂 Sorry about the audio issue!
This tutorial has started not from the beginning because you have not shown how did you create the composition with the background.
