Anyone in an abusive relationship should simply leave. No breakup, no final opportunity for the abuser to be abusive. However, to stop the cops from tracking you down for the abuser, call the nearest precinct house and tell them, "You may get a call soon from Jo Doe reporting me missing, but I'm not missing, just leaving an abusive relationship." Let the cops tell the abuser.
But even if it wasn't abusive you truly never know how the person in front could act. Especially women. How many women ended up 6ft under just because they wanted to break up.

My job is strictly work from home, been working from home for 7 years now & I always make sure to tell people it’s not as easy as it seems. Especially becoming a mother. I’m forever grateful I have the opportunities to be home with my baby every day, saving a fortune on childcare etc but I have a part time job on the weekends at a winery just so I can have that alone time away & still interact with the outside world. You definitely have to force yourself out of the house because you can go crazy
I wfh, and I am definitely going crazy 😂. But I would not trade it for anything. Just the extra time I have not in traffic and not battling rain, sleet, and snow is worth it. I am definitely going to get an outside part-time gig this summer ☀️.

I had to pay for parking because I worked downtown, $6 a day to park, gas, I always bought out lunch because my company has a bomb criteria, I’m saving about $500 a month just wfh! It’s great but yeah definitely gotta have a part time job just something simple or a hobby that gets you out of the house!

Go on a walk at a park on a weekday or something when it’s not so busy . Whatever you can do comfortable try doing. You are going to have to push yourself a little bit. Seek counseling if you can. I am just saying this as someone that cares ❤️. Things will just get harder if you put it off longer 🤟. You got this!!
I agree with the SUV one. I've always been uncomfortable around huge trucks & SUVs. Like, sure YOU are safer higher off the ground, but if you get into an accident with a smaller car, it's deadly for them. I definitely recommend a channel called "Not Just Bikes", he talks about them a lot.

You don’t have to wear white sneakers with white socks. Also, dress socks are black because of dress shoes; most people are not wearing dress socks everyday unless they work office jobs and even then, outside of that you’re going to be wearing casual clothing. I agree with the black socks, most of mine are black or darker and not dress socks. I think I have one or two pairs of white socks that I never wear because they don't go with anything (casual) that I have and I'm not only wearing dark clothing or shoes. I have one lighter colored pair of shoes and I use grey or beigeish socks with them. I wear any color over white but that's just me.

Removing daylight savings time actually changes the time in the summer, not the winter. So if our daylight in the summer ends at 8pm, removing DST would make the sunset happen at 7pm. Winter would not be affected bc it is the standard time

The SUV take is wild to me as a Canadian lol. My first vehicle was a tiny, low to the ground Pontiac Sunfire and I hated that car when winter came, you get stuck in the snow too damn easily in a car. An SUV is so much more practical.
I've been working from home since the start of the pandemic, and I haven't been happier. Since I anxiety when it comes to being around people, staying home all day in my pajama pants and a T-shirt has been heaven. I'll get out of the apartment sometimes to sit on a bench outside my apartment building once in a while (when the weather is nice) but not having to ride the MTA to and from work and deal with all the crowds has been amazing. Since I'll be turning 60 this month, after working since I was 18 as we as having raised triplet boys, having much less stress in my life has been a top priority.
I never knew the syrup I had for the first 30 years of my life was so horrible until I had real maple syrup on homemade french toast for breakfast this past Christmas. I'll never go back.

Nah, I agree with the SUV and giant ass truck debate. Driving anything bigger than a hatchback makes me feel like I have less awareness of what's immediately beside the car, especially traffic and a full bed truck is impossible to maneuver without backing into someone else's vehicle. It's like driving a tank. If you're used to the giant size and can judge it, go for it. I admit that I can't, so I refuse to drive them. Give me a sports car over a lifted truck any day of the week.
And it's messed up that anyone who can't afford an SUV is at higher risk from all the unnecessary SUVs and huge trucks. You can't even see younger children if you're in a modern truck
Currently work from home two days a week, used to be full-time from home. It isn't for everyone. Even for those who can stay productive (which I can do from anywhere), it's important to not stay cooped up in the house all day. Go outside everyday if you can. Talk to your neighbors. Don't become a hermit.
I feel like I am far more social when working from home than when I'm in the office. I don't want to talk to my coworkers, I want to talk to my friends. And since most of my friends also WFH, we can be talking on the phone all day, or going out to work at coffee shops together. I hate that for so long it was expected that you'd become friendly with your coworkers and that would count as socializing.
I am a complete hermit and I’m totally good with it. I love being home where I’m comfortable, especially during winter when it’s cold and snowing a ton.

When you have to commute 30mins-1 hour to and from work after a week of constant rain and the roads are flooded almost knee deep, tell me how much you’d love to sit in the middle of a residential road because you’re trying to get home and your little sedan/compact car has stalled and now your waiting 5 hours for a tow truck because they have to help 100 other people who’s little sedan also stalled and then you have to pay $500+ dollars for towing and a mechanic and you have to get your interior cleaned. Then, the buses don’t run during certain hours so if you work at 5am,congrats getting there. or you spend $80 a day in an Uber. Now imaging this for 5 months. Meanwhile, That lifted Ford or Suburban is just cruising as if it’s another day.
Not a barber, but a cosmetologist who cuts hair! Working with hair all day is EXTREMELY physically taxing, more so than people think. We’re prone to carpal tunnel and back issues because of having to work with our hands and stand all day. And if you’re on the shorter side (I’m 5’1) it can be extremely hard to even see what you’re working with if the person is tall, depending on the chair. It’s also mentally draining to keep up conversations with so many people in one day. Respect your barbers and the work they put in to make you look and feel good!
Personally I'd rather the barber not try to start a whole convo with me, just cut my hair so i can leave bro. Im on the spectrum tho so that may just be me lol

On the topic of black socks, at some point I decided to only buy black socks because I noticed white socks were the only white thing I regularly wore, so I was separating my laundry into white and dark laundry just for my socks, so if I wore black socks then I wouldn't have to do that anymore.
Also, no one needs to know what color my socks are because every part of my socks is covered by either my shoes or my pants.

You don’t have to wear white sneakers with white socks. Also, dress socks are black because of dress shoes; most people are not wearing dress socks everyday unless they work office jobs and even then, outside of that you’re going to be wearing casual clothing. It makes no sense for black to be the normal color, nor grey cause that doesn’t match with anything.
I agree with the black socks, most of mine are black or darker and not dress socks. I think I have one or two pairs of white socks that I never wear because they don't go with anything (casual) that I have and I'm not only wearing dark clothing or shoes. I have one lighter colored pair of shoes and I use grey or beigeish socks with them. I wear any color over white but that's just me.

I totally agree about not having day light savings time. Not the one that Joe was talking about the the “hot take” I love winter, I hate the sun, I love the dark. I also love my extra hour of sleep. Removing daylight savings time actually changes the time in the summer, not the winter. So if our daylight in the summer ends at 8pm, removing DST would make the sunset happen at 7pm. Winter would not be affected bc it is the standard time
Yeah, the ideal is staying on DST year round. Sure it would be darker in the mornings in the winter, but it's already dark until like 7/8, so what's another hour? But it would mean that it would still be light out at 5pm, and that would be so much better.

I work from home, and I'll say it can be easy to start feeling like you're in a rut. I get out at least once a week for my groceries, sometimes special events, so I get fresh air and stretch my legs a bit. It helps a lot
The SUV take is wild to me as a Canadian lol. My first vehicle was a tiny, low to the ground Pontiac Sunfire and I hated that car when winter came, you get stuck in the snow too damn easily in a car. An SUV is so much more practical.

I've been working from home since the start of the pandemic, and I haven't been happier. Since I anxiety when it comes to being around people, staying home all day in my pajama pants and a T-shirt has been heaven. I'll get out of the apartment sometimes to sit on a bench outside my apartment building once in a while (when the weather is nice) but not having to ride the MTA to and from work and deal with all the crowds has been amazing. Since I'll be turning 60 this month, after working since I was 18 as we as having raised triplet boys, having much less stress in my life has been a top priority.

I completely agree with the calendar change, id love to have the new year start out as heading into spring, and feel fresh instead of winter seeming so long, feels like winter is half the year and summer is a wait for it to seem like it goes by quickly! Even in the southern US, well the upper end like the Carolinas and Tennessee, even GA.
Nah, I agree with the SUV and giant ass truck debate. Driving anything bigger than a hatchback makes me feel like I have less awareness of what's immediately beside the car, especially traffic and a full bed truck is impossible to maneuver without backing into someone else's vehicle. It's like driving a tank. If you're used to the giant size and can judge it, go for it. I admit that I can't, so I refuse to drive them. Give me a sports car over a lifted truck any day of the week.
And it's messed up that anyone who can't afford an SUV is at higher risk from all the unnecessary SUVs and huge trucks. You can't even see younger children if you're in a modern truck
Currently work from home two days a week, used to be full-time from home. It isn't for everyone. Even for those who can stay productive (which I can do from anywhere), it's important to not stay cooped up in the house all day. Go outside everyday if you can. Talk to your neighbors. Don't become a hermit.
I feel like I am far more social when working from home than when I'm in the office. I don't want to talk to my coworkers, I want to talk to my friends. And since most of my friends also WFH, we can be talking on the phone all day, or going out to work at coffee shops together. I hate that for so long it was expected that you'd become friendly with your coworkers and that would count as socializing.
I am a complete hermit and I’m totally good with it. I love being home where I’m comfortable, especially during winter when it’s cold and snowing a ton.

The SUV thing…try living in Florida during hurricane season. When you have to commute 30mins-1 hour to and from work after a week of constant rain and the roads are flooded almost knee deep, tell me how much you’d love to sit in the middle of a residential road because you’re trying to get home and your little sedan/compact car has stalled and now your waiting 5 hours for a tow truck because they have to help 100 other people who’s little sedan also stalled and then you have to pay $500+ dollars for towing and a mechanic and you have to get your interior cleaned. Then, the buses don’t run during certain hours so if you work at 5am,congrats getting there. or you spend $80 a day in an Uber. Now imaging this for 5 months. Meanwhile, That lifted Ford or Suburban is just cruising as if it’s another day.

Not a barber, but a cosmetologist who cuts hair! Working with hair all day is EXTREMELY physically taxing, more so than people think. We’re prone to carpal tunnel and back issues because of having to work with our hands and stand all day. And if you’re on the shorter side (I’m 5’1) it can be extremely hard to even see what you’re working with if the person is tall, depending on the chair. It’s also mentally draining to keep up conversations with so many people in one day. Respect your barbers and the work they put in to make you look and feel good!

It’s all preference and what makes you comfortable and the person doing your hair should respect that! If they don’t, find someone new :)
