thank you so much for this! i think these are very dependent on the situation. 80/20 sounds right. "but faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of God". I may end up doing most of the talking about Im engaging and asking questions as i cite scripture. As far as starting with small talk to me that seems very misleading. I'd rather start with the Gospel and then express my interest in them. I'd rather the foundation of my friendship be the gospel. Again, its very dependent on the situation. If i'm out doing outreach i always start with the gospel. If its a casual encounter i always start with small talk but look for ways to engage in spiritual conversation. Like Jesus talking about living water, or Philip the evangelist with the eunch. Thank again!! these are very encouraging videos!
#5 also applies to prayer. people think God will hear them more if they talk on and on and on in prayer. it's okay to give a short prayer to God. it's all about sincerity and how heartfelt your prayer is.
Why wouldn’t you want to continually talk with God? He wants us to. He is not human where we apply 80/20 whatever!! Prayer life is a Christian’s power along with the Scriptures!! What are you saying?!! 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Colossians 4:2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. Ephesians 6:18 Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, There are many more scriptures that lets us know OFTEN, PLENTY prayer is MUY MUY important! PRAYER is TALKING with Christ and the Father and His Spirit. Reconsider your viewpoint and repent from it..., you risk your eternal life.

I've found since my receiving the Holy Spirit, that He's naturally been using me outdoors and my love of nature to connect with others, so I often just say how I love to commune with God while I' outdoors, how I can see and him Him more clearly through His creations..., that gets them talking to you about their love of the outdoors hence having a normal conversation then I share my experience and back it up with the Gospel. I agree Mary. We allow the Holy Spirit to speak through us when we are given the opportunity to share the Gospel. You have good points there and I just want to share my points in proclaiming the gospel too. It might be useful to some who need more. -You have to remember that God is the one speaking through the Holy Spirit in you. You cannot bring the message to their hearts just by your own mouth. You need God and His word to go through your mouth. He has the power to change one's life. -Do not memorize scripted lines. -When things seems to get intense, don't pour gasoline on a small flame. Remember why you are proclaiming the gospel. Know who is on your side. -Most importantly, God is ALWAYS with you. He doesn't leave you to your job He has given to you. He is your assistant. Shalom to all and I pray that we all get to praise our Lord in His Kingdom💖
I know you say that those of us who follow you are an encouragement to you, but make no mistake, you are an encouragement to us as well. God bless you brother.
Do not focus on talking too much unless God told you to prophecy to many people. We should focus more on planting the seeds in the unbeliever's heart. Make them think. Make them doubt wickedness.
Nonbelievers who doubt the bible because of its deeply rooted wickedness are your worst enemies. If you start doubting your scripture too......... well guess what, you’ll just have to figure that out, because more brainwashing won’t help in the long run when the questions aren’t really being answered.

People often say "I don't know how to speak of my faith to others." Mr. Kirby really hits it on the head. Listen first. Listen to the person, they are carrying a burden they want to share with you. Listen to The Spirit, it will bridge those connections in your mind to serve that person. Listen to yourself, you will know in your gut whether you are helping, or harming, representing God, or representing your own opinions. If you listen in these ways, you don't need a guidebook on speaking your faith, you have all the guidance you need.
I realized I was listening forever, and then never actually saying anything about Jesus. It is definitely about finding that balance. Good thing I have years more to practice.
A verse that came to mind when listening to this brother talk about the Master. "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."
Thank you for inspiring others to be able speak boldly about Jesus. I’ve been engaging more on Facebook with strangers about Jesus. There’s usually hostility and negative remarks from them. Please continue to bless Joe Kirby and his ministry. Renew a passion in Your chosen people to speak boldly for You and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Amen!

@@CatalyticChristian Men council men Women council women. You are looking to justify your works but shall end up failing. Pride comes before the fall my friend, dont make that mistake. Men are preachers and teachers in a congregation and women submit to their husbands. Do you leave no role for women, yet want to place yourself in a situation to be enticed and led away by your own desires. The spirit is willing but your flesh is weak and your lying heart will cause you to stumble. Then you shall bring Christ to an open shame and trample on the blood of Christ as it is a common thing. God shall not be mocked. You will use the holy word for your own gain and reap corruption. There are plenty of women knowledgeable in Gods word, we dont need you. I found that few people can resist the powefull, but tender love of our Lord Jesus Christ. If one can get that across a person will be more likely to accept the message of the cross🙏🙏
Every one of those things will be taken care of if we are not "there to work for God", but we are there as a vessel, filled with the Holy Spirit, Who WILL guide every word.
This is very helpful because I’m going to go evangelising in a shopping centre with my friend so this helps a lot I once spoke to someone and I kinda did not do very well so this is very helpful
I start with people I already know as friends. If they reject it or are not open to it or downright reject it, I know I have to remove them from my circle and just pray for them. That's the advantage of never being being dependent on people too much when you've faced the truth of salvation: you can emotionally detach from them. Christian strangers did pray for me to come to the truth of Jesus and I will forever be grateful for their prayers. Strangers can do more for you than so-called friends and friends can be nothing more than people who can lead you astray.
Thank you Joe so much I watch you as often as possible on my phone I'm from the United States so I hope you get my messages cuz I've never gotten a return message. But that doesn't matter what matters is that you have put the Lord deep into my heart and I I catch myself when I do something like lose my temper cuz I'm paralyzed and I'm in a nursing home and believe me if you were in one you would catch yourself begging God to forgive your sins way too much. Believe it or not just saying Jesus loves you works amazingly, The Holy Spirit does the rest, and 99 percent of the time it works with people giving their lives and hearts to Jesus and getting baptized with The Holy Spirit, He has had so much success working through me. I even had a young person wait for me on the street to talk to him about Jesus! Praise God Hallelujah!
I would add one more idea, and you do it.............smile. God smiles when we are doing his will. There is a mile between each "s" in smiles. A smile goes a long way. I always remember that God gives the increase and it helps me smile.

A couple things that have helped me - I tend to witness to folks online, so it's a different experience, but I still have learned a few things! --- From Greg Koukl's book Tactics - sometimes you don't have much time. Be ready to, at the least, 'put a stone in their shoe' so they don't keep walking down a dark path. If you can get them to think just a little differently about God, or just a little differently about, say, abortion, you've done a good thing. God gives the increase, not us, and sometimes we don't have a long window. Don't expect that you have to go for a home run every time: but make sure to just get up to bat, at least, and not stay on the bench. --- Be ready with something 'in your back pocket': be it a tract or (in my case, for online conversations) a recommendation to a UA-cam channel. I often refer folks over to Living Waters, and mention that that channel has a dog with sunglasses. :) --- Love. I haven't met a man whom Jesus has not died for. --- Reinforcing #5 that Joe said: keep the main thing the main thing, or rather the main Person, Jesus. For me, I've had some folks who are just around to mock or bother me. You can often just 'get a sense' about these folks, right? They really want to keep going down rabbit trails, or ask leading questions rather than asking to learn. They're not honest in how they speak. It's not just the case where a conversation topic becomes distracting, but they are there *to draw you away* from the point, not to listen. In other cases, someone may just be awkward, and the question may *sound* like something a mocker wanted to ask you earlier, or some such. So what do you do? Well, you keep the main thing the main thing, as said before, and be willing to take an insult or two. But further: keeping it focused on Jesus has helped me several times. For some folks who wanted to go down rabbit trails, instead of getting stuck in a long conversation only for them to curse me out and leave after pretending to listen for awhile, I've had some of these mockers just go ahead and curse me out and leave by keeping the focus on the Gospel. They run out of roads to mock me sooner, instead of just pretending to listen for awhile only to go around acting triumphant that they wasted my time right after. This isn't the case in the *vast majority* of instances, but there has been more than one instance where people practically started screaming at the name of Christ, then leaving, rather than continuing trying to be a problem. Also, I wasn't going out of my way to attack them or some such, but trying to keep the matter focused on Jesus when I was uncertain about someone's sincerity. Sometimes I've been wrong: several times, however, this has been a shield. (and this was during online chats with folks, so take it as you will) --- Know what you believe (1 Peter 3:15). Apologetics channels can be quite helpful on this point, but if you're not reading your Bible, you're not going to be prepared (not to mention, you're missing out!) Some channel recommendations: -Mike Winger -Acts17Apologetics -Whaddo you Meme -Cross Examined -Living Waters -Cold Case Christianity -Capturing Christianity -John Lennox (not a channel, but still a man: look up some of his talks!) --- It'll be hard. Remember that. But following Jesus is always worth it, no matter how difficult. Your body will 'drag its feet' at the idea. I fail here more than I should, I think. You'll find it worth it to keep pushing through. === Thanks for the vid!

Read the Bible and pray everyday like eating n drinking go for fasting occasionly and check out Derek prince and David Wilkerson
You should watch a lot of David Wood and Christian prince , very skilled and knowledgeable on apologetics especially with Muslims
@JRT Christian Lifestyle I always tought that muslims believe in our God of the jews?
@@narainekaran6897 Don't quote me or anything, but If I'm not mistaken Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet and that he was not the Son of God. Where as we Christians believe that Jesus is God.
BTW anyone can share the Gospel with Grannies!! - Joe
thank you so much for this! i think these are very dependent on the situation.
I want the spread the gospel to my classmates before the school year ends
Wow! I watched this when it first came out in 2018. I still remember it!!
I’m working my way through this evangelism playlist 👍🏼
Glad you like it brother!
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Colossians 4:2
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
Ephesians 6:18
Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,
There are many more scriptures that lets us know OFTEN, PLENTY prayer is MUY MUY important!
PRAYER is TALKING with Christ and the Father and His Spirit.
Reconsider your viewpoint and repent from it..., you risk your eternal life.
You misunderstood what they meant. They mean what Jesus said to not pray like, the Pharisees.
If one is honest and sincere one Word could be sufficient.
I think I needed to hear this sometime I just don't know what else to say and I feel like I'm not giving the lord enough of my time which I'm not but how many people really give God enough time
"That's a lovely jumper. While we are talking are you saved with the blood of Jesus Christ ?!?!" LOL
I've shed many tears over the last few days that I lost this video on prayer (alongside many others) but the Lord in His goodness has allowed it to be restored - I will explain in a another video soon. Please go and watch it, if you haven't seen it already: ua-cam.com/video/OaUn8tKVl7Y/v-deo.html
The 3 females I had tries to share the Gospel with, attraction started.
I need to apply #2 as well
Thanks Joe!
Thank you for your honesty Brandon glad the video helped to challenge you, keep on sharing the Gospel brother! - Joe
You could always just refer them to a female Christian you know that's good at giving bible study etc
Do not go alone, always Attend to them with your Christian colleagues
Same problem , its not a sin in itself in my opinion but its not pure 100% some emotions and admire is involved and i dont know if its okay but i think its outcome is not good
@@christfollower5713 so is it bad for me to spread the gospel to a girl? am I limited in who I can spread the gospel to?
May God bless you! Jesus is coming back soon!
God bless you Joe! You are being used by the Holy Spirit to teach us Christians on how to effectively share the Gospel of Jesus Christ!👍👍
That is so encouraging thank you making me smile today George, God bless you - Joe
You have such a big, beautiful heart Pastor Joe! Thank you for pushing past all your fears and anxieties to get the good news of Jesus out to people. May God continue to bless you in all you do. Please pray for me that I may get the same boldness to witness for our Lord Jesus.
Amen may we be successful. ✝️💞❤️💓🙏
Genders separation is such a blessing I never knew until being a part of a real Christian community and this is fantastic and I had no clue what I was missing and how safe and encouraging the separation can be and how it keeps everyone moving forward without distractions, I say it's a top 10 thing on multiple levels that has benefited my journey with christ
They at least thing you are reasonably normal to begin with lol
This is a great tip, thank you!
I used to distribute drugs on the street and now I distribute gospels on the street thanks to people like you
I’ve learned to be a good listener and just share the gospel calmly and kindly. I’m not there to be “right”!..And. Always always leave each other with respect and on a good note..You taught me that Joe!
I agree Mary. We allow the Holy Spirit to speak through us when we are given the opportunity to share the Gospel. If we speak the truth from the Gods word and do so with the intention of leading someone to Christ and NOT for personal gain then the seed will be planted and the Lord will make it grow :) God bless!
Joe, again a timeless teaching. I do try to be careful, but then how to be bold?
Thank you Joe. God be with you and yours.
Please pray for me I really wanted to share God's word but I am still in the process of learning the right thing to do when sharing. Thanks
Ray Comfort from Living Waters ministry has a real simple method to get you started
How is it going now?
I’m in the same boat right now
Unfortunately I go through the same thing, I'm really eager and want to share the gospel to so many ppl but I'm so scared and shy, I wish I didn't care about what ppl really thought of me and wasn't so afraid on how others will judge me
@@nnuveohombre I recommend training courses.. together with Others. We Had to do practical exercise in Bible School and I hated it..but we went in pairs so one could speak whilst the other prays silently.
Thanks so much for this, I live in Libya; a country with a majority of Muslims. With that fact, I always needed something like this for clearance. Thank You again!! 🙇🏾♂️
When a gardener sows a seed he doesn't wait for it to grow, he moves on to plant another.
"Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars. Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down." (Zechariah 11:1, 2)
Thanks Joe this would help me share the Gospel of Jesus. God bless us all…
You are a blessing, Joe.! Stay blessed!
God bless you Brother Joe for all you do to reach the lost and the followers of Jesus Christ 🙏 As you know we to get off track and become a train wreck. I know I sure have and become worldly again. It's so hard at times to stay focused and not getting distracted... When I fall into sin it keeps me from seeking God and sharing the Gospel of Christ Jesus. Please keep me in your prayers. There's nothing in this world that's worth going to Hell for
I was sharing my experience with God this morning. I was on a high high spirit because I felt the holy spirit God was enveloping me was with me so I was really happy excited today then I got a text from a girl we used to be roommates together. Her room was just a wall beside me. I was sooo full force spilling everything I could think of without even backing off and hearing her properly but I knew she was going through a hard time she is a sweet soul but she went to the wrong people and take wrong habits from them. I think I didn’t do so good but I trust that God is already working through her life because he has plans for her. I am just glad I watched this video after just doing this an hour ago

You "REALLY" love people. God bless you!

Thabk you so much Joe. It's 2023 now and this video says 4 years old so its still doing its job. Great advice for someone like me who likes to get to the nitty gritty always.
Absolutely agree with #2
Thank you, sir, again!
Just picked up the Cospel of John and a few bibles for my family! God bless you and your family for your great teachings and guidance! In Jesus' precious name, we pray! Amen! ✝️
Yes, avoid wrong motives. 🙏👍
Don't Kill Yourself Before You're Dead Yes!

Spread the gospel ❤😊😊👑✝️❤️🙏🏽
A verse that came to mind when listening to this brother talk about the Master.
"I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."
Thank you for inspiring others to be able speak boldly about Jesus. I’ve been engaging more on Facebook with strangers about Jesus. There’s usually hostility and negative remarks from them. I continue to pray for them and tell them God loves them. Holy Spirit, please help save Jerry from a life without You. He spoke harshly about You Lord but we know he’s in pain. Please continue to bless Joe Kirby and his ministry. Renew a passion in Your chosen people to speak boldly for You and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Amen!

I didn't like #2, but unfortunately you are right on. It's a sad world we live in. Maybe for an old guy like me it might be OK since we tend to be looked upon more grandfatherly.
I really like your series on how to witness. It is no doubt helpful to many.
God bless you Leonard thank you for another helpful comment. I do hope these videos are being used by God to spread the Gospel for his glory! I think as long as our motives are pure God will use us no matter who we are! - Joe

Thank you Leonard, I look forward to that day greatly all glory to God! 😊
Hey, I’m around 21 and I don’t normally evangelize to women and I think this is right for me right now. Yet, I see Ray Comfort evangelize to women maybe 40-50% of the time and I think you’re right about the “grandfatherly” vibe so I’d say, if it’s good for you, go for it

Men council men
Women council women.
Many have fallen before you and if you continue on this path you will join those on the broad road.
I rebuke you, to save you this shame and condemnation.
Ezekiel 33 you have been warned.
Just prayed about this like 10 min ago :O
This video is a perfect answer I’m amazed, glory to our Father in heaven Elohim
This had great reminders. Will meet up with a lady in an hour who Jesus healed on Tuesday after I prayed for her. She's never read in the Bible, so will show her and hear what she thinks.

I found that few people can resist the powefull, but tender love of our Lord Jesus Christ. If one can get that across a person will be more likely to accept the message of the cross🙏🙏
Thank u so much for the advise. Normally, I do preach to boys of my age. But they fail to listen. But some girls repented all thanks to God Almighty.
Bless you. You gave me great tips. Today I shared the gospel for a non believer for the first time. I feel motivated when I watched your video.

80/20 will help me a lot. Thank you brother! A hug from Belize C.A!

Thanks for this brother! I love your channel and I've been mad encouraged by you
Very useful tips! Thank you for the video!
Thank you Joe... That was a nugget well received. God bless and keep you warm and safe.🙏
Thank you so much this was very helpful, praise Jesus and God bless you
I start with people I already know as friends.
Love the way you explain this. Because you find good examples and give good advice.
God bless you and I'm going now to watch another one of your shows on UA-cam
Amen!
Jesus our lord our savior
This is a great guide. Speaking too much myself and not talking directly about the Gospel are my problems.
Glory to God....thank you for this video
Thanks for the tips.. God bless you and your team

Very edifying as well!
I feel more comfortable sharing the gospel in personal light hearted conversations
You’re coming across wonderfully it brings out the loving us for one another first. And I love the way you share the gospel praying for you always and your family❤️🙏🏻
I agree so much with point 2. It's so encouraging that you mentioned it we are very particular in our ministry too in India
I would add one more idea, and you do it.............smile. God smiles when we are doing his will. There is a mile between each "s" in smiles. A smile goes a long way. I always remember that God gives the increase and it helps me smile.

Dude! This helps me so much thank you mate. I been trying to find a good approach forever and this helps a ton! Also, side note: thanks for all your videos and making a difference in this dreadful world. You've helped me and I'm sure many others with their journey towards spiritual awakening and spreading the gospel. Keep it up man and GOD bless!🙏🙏
A couple things that have helped me - I tend to witness to folks online, so it's a different experience, but I still have learned a few things!
---
From Greg Koukl's book Tactics - sometimes you don't have much time.
---
Be ready with something 'in your back pocket': be it a tract or (in my case, for online conversations) a recommendation to a UA-cam channel. I often refer folks over to Living Waters, and mention that that channel has a dog with sunglasses. :)
---
Love. I haven't met a man whom Jesus has not died for.
---
Reinforcing #5 that Joe said: keep the main thing the main thing, or rather the main Person, Jesus.
(and this was during online chats with folks, so take it as you will)
---
Know what you believe (1 Peter 3:15).
Apologetics channels can be quite helpful on this point, but if you're not reading your Bible, you're not going to be prepared (not to mention, you're missing out!)
Some channel recommendations:
-Mike Winger
-Acts17Apologetics
-Whaddo you Meme
-Cross Examined
-Living Waters
-Cold Case Christianity
-Capturing Christianity
-John Lennox (not a channel, but still a man: look up some of his talks!)
---
It'll be hard.
Remember that. But following Jesus is always worth it, no matter how difficult.
Your body will 'drag its feet' at the idea. I fail here more than I should, I think.
You'll find it worth it to keep pushing through.

Thanks for the vid!
