Cuasar canon, granade launcher and flamethrower are really fun to play mostly because of the backpack space and my favorite one is the supply one, means more granades and LOTS of ammo
Personally I swear by the Anti Materiel Rifle. I generally run the Cookout incendiary shotgun, Crisper Pistol and incendiary impact grenades (my real name is Blaze, of course I like fire), plus the Cluster Bombs and Orbital Napalm Strike. I rip through bug or voteless hordes. I carry the AMR and Railcannon Strike for anything too big and gribbly for me to set on fire. Side note; incendiary grenades absolutely massacre those big tentacle monsters once they make like Ruby Weapon and put their tentacles into the ground. They're totally immobile once their tentacles are in, so just set the entire area on fire and watch them melt.
Right now: -Bugs: AC-8 Autocannon (AC) vs. Bile Constellation Spawn Seeds or Recoilless Rifle (RR) vs. every other Constellation Spawn Seeds. -Bots: Recoilless Rifle (RR) -Squids: MG-43 Machinegun (MG) - Right now everything is vulnerable to it. Once the Illuminate show up with their other units, this might change.
Combining 'railgun' support-weapon and 'torcher' primary and 'stun grenade' with supply-pack and you got the ultra-aggressive terminid-crusher. I actually really like the Stalwart versus the Illuminate, because it can basically shred voteless, watchers, and overseers all day. It's helpless against harvesters, but any other enemy in the Illuminate arsenal, it'll deal with handily. I wouldn't use it against any other faction though, not even the bugs...
I use stalwart for bugs, so that if stalkers start getting a little too close I can always switch from the purifier of crossbow and lay waste, eats for bile titans, and you can just delete impalers and charger butt's with the purifier spam
Honestly i believe 100% that the airburst is the best support weapon/launcher in the game, its super underrated and most people dont give it a fair chance. it can one tap impalers, mow down hordes of light/medium enemies, will one tap a hulk in the weapoint, and so much more. The only things it cant reliably one shot are tanks, factory striders, harvesters, and bile titans. Thats literally it. And the best part is, on top of obliterating 90% of the enemies in the game, you get MUCH more value per shot compared to the other launchers. The splash range is insane, and the damage is super consistent and reliable when you get used to the cluster patterns. Dont even get me started on team reloads, you can obliterate hordes like theyre nothing and have a teammate take out the few remaining tanks with an expendable or two.
machinegun can go up to A or even S tier against the squids has enough penetration to go through everything even the harvester (requires accurate shooting) can mow down hordes of enemy can take down shields really fast so I can use the crossbow/eruptor to seal the deal really fast
Bugs: Quasar Cannon. Able to one shot every single big ticket game, squash a bug hole, shoot random objectives in the distance, and with infinite ammo you can even just shoot it into a group of enemies because might as well. Illuminate: Laser Cannon, but only when paired with the sickle, guard dog, and Grenade pistol. Just keep swapping between the sickle and laser cannon for constant thinning of the horde, with the guard dog being a bit of a force multiplier that also quickly kills flying overseers. And the laser cannon quickly takes care of Harvesters with a few seconds pointing at the leg joint, plus he fire damage actually will make it stagger a bit before it can hit you with the laser. Bots: Autocannon. No further comment needed. But I’m still experimenting here
I still find Quasar's recharge is too slow, compare to recoiless reload. Sure might run into ammo issue, but it's not as much of a downside as compare to the quasar's recharge in my opinion
I've recently gotten into helldivers 2 and have enjoyed the game so much so far and your ranking videos are honestly some of the best I've seen. Most of your picks I can't help but agree with and they've actually made me want to try out new builds. Keep doing what you're doing!
I usually take the Quasar over the RR for bots simply because I can stay on the move while it reloads and constantly delete literally everything (gunships, hulks, tanks, even outpost turrets and mortar/anti-air emplacements) in a single shot without ever running out of ammo. S tier for me, but I understand preferences
I understand where you're coming from but as a recoilless fanatic i do enjoy being able to destroy multiple targets without waiting a lot, often times i just find a rock or some small cover to reload and then peek every time i need to fire.
I’d say that recoilless and quasar are the same in terms of power, pure stopping power and damage goes to recoilless, but quasar is very powerful due to the auto-reload and backpack slot
Hate when these guys are so bias they put obvious S tiers like EAT in B tier, like are u ranking them for real or just giving us a list of your favorite ones?
AMR is s tier it just takes skill to use correctly. Put in a lot of practice with it and you will be deleting everything the bots can throw at you much faster than an autocannon or rail gun could, its one of the best answers to harvesters in the game and surprisingly it has decent TTK on chargers and titans, though supply pack is necessary. Being able to quickly dispatch commanders and spewers at range is also incredibly underrated
The Railgun was one of those guns that i tried once, was unimpressed with it because I didnt understand how it worked, and then forgot about for months. Then I tried it out again after I figured out how the game works, and now its almost always in my loadout lol
Great video, we had a lot of differing opinions yet you were very clear with why you felt the way you did which led to the different views and preferences being really interesting
For bugs I'm a big fan of using the MG with the EAT, lets you deal with the horde and occasional bile titan. But yeah the recoilless is busted, team reloads for bot drop ships makes super helldive not that bad.
Reasonable tier list, minus a few details I might have mentioned; Changing fire rates on all the machine guns is a worthwhile thing to mess with. The stalwart can be cranked up to 1150rpm or something, it's insane. Both handling and TTK change significantly for all the machine guns when you change fire rate, it's nifty. You mentioned how the HMG is really only good when stationary, which is mostly true unless you're running the viper armor (heavy weapon handling passive). Both the MG and HMG become run and gun appropriate when wearing that and you can use them more or less as a primary. The HMG still kicks a lot but that's just a matter of practice, the viper armor improves aim speed which is the HMG's worst quirk. You didn't mention the minimum effective range on spear and wasp, which makes them feel pretty useless in the wrong situation and is the reason i end up putting them down soon after I pull them out. The spear arcing over an aggro Hulk or Charger is a demoralizing experience, especially when you're used to the point blank quickscope potential of the recoilless. Same with the wasps flying past elevated overseers who are buzzing you too close. You didn't mention the grief potential of the flamethrower, arc thrower, and airburst rocket, which is a significant strike against all of them depending on how you play. On that note, the first advantage of the Sterilizer is that it's a less griefy flamethrower. All of your flamethrower footage involves you lighting yourself on fire and having to spend a stim and dive, the sterilizer sort of fixes that. it's not nearly as easy to poison teammates with the sterilizer as it is to set them on fire with the flamethrower (or set the ground on fire in an inconvenient way). The Sterilizer's other advantage is changing movement direction; it can make a charger turn in mid stride. No, it doesn't really make enemies attack each other, but it can get them to stop chasing you. Granted, the sterilizer is not great, but it's kinda fun if you're patient with it (albeit hard to justify over other options in most missions).
The Quasar is my favorite because of the insane range and infinite ammo. Getting up to a high place and just hammering bot fabricators from afar feels awesome. Pretty good list overall, looks fun
I will say that while the airburst rocketlauncher isnt great, a proper shot right under an Impaler will oneshot it. That and its use againsts hordes makes it a suprisingly common sighting in the galactic east.
Dude I can't see how you put Stalward there, sorry, now I can't watch it. Stalward is simply THE BEST secondary weapon on the bug front. Because you deal with 80% little shit. And Stalward is fast and gives you the ability to reload on the run. Basically it is THE BEST assault rifle, if you change your AR with something like crossbow, eruptor, torcher. You like flamethrower, but why do you choose some weak AR in your hands, over Stalwart with endless ammos? And use torcher. I know a lot of dudes like big bada boom guns. But again 80-90% of time you don't have to use your RR on the bug front on diff 6-7. But you have to deal with A LOT of little-medium shit. You may ask "why not MG then? It has medium penetration". Because it is freaking slow. And when you shot one hunter, 3 others are already jump on your face, while you are rotating your slow gun. And for reload you have to stop and sit. I can't even count all the times I was killed because of that. Or just stupidly running with an empty mag. And you put railgun on top of Stalward? God... Nobody uses it. It is slow, close range (because of limited scope), doesn't kill anything. Like here we have a clear comparison with Spear or RR. Why do you prefer not to explode fabricators with one tap if you have a tool which does everything. Don't take it very seriously, I just uncovered great Stalward's pros, so can't bear when people still underestimate it, comparing only penetration, not its huge impact on the loadout
commando does half the damage of expendable anti tank per missle, has twice the missles so that balances out, but overall still has twice the cooldown so I dont know why you would ever pick commando over EAT but then again they both are completely superfluous because the quasar cannon (with the exact same damage as EAT) exists, which lets you have 1 shot every 18 seconds, for simplicity sake lets make that 20 so thats 3 shots per minute with quasar EAT has about a minute cooldown so 2 shots per minute but commando with twice the cooldown and half the damage only really comes about to like 1 EAT equivalent shot per minute now obviously this isnt 1:1, breakpoints vary and all of that, but I'm willing to wager that commando still comes out last in this and then lastly as if the quasar cannon wasnt already running away with it its also like 5 times more convenient to use, dont need to call stratgems all the time (especially nice when its the 50% extra call in time) and also unaffected by jammer only place where it doesnt win is potential burst damage
my go to loadout is either recoiless rifle or jump pack with commando or autocannon. First one is mostly for missions where there’s less movement and a lot of heavily armored enemies (very good for automatons). And then the second loadout for more stealthy and get-in, get-out type of missions (especially with terminids)
Honestly I can agree with most things in this video. My personal favorite support stratagem would be the airburst rocket launcher on the bot front. It wipes out hordes of devastators and chicken walkers, Can oneshot hulks if you shoot between their legs and finishes most fight before they even begin. Like you said for the hmg, the stationary reload doesnt matter quite as much on the bot front and the airburst is great because of how fast you can get off a shot and duck back into cover. Anything the size of a hulk or smaller gets dominated by these things. Gunships can also be oneshot but i think i would rather leave that up to the guy with the recoiless launcher. The main upside i see for the Airburst is the ammo it saves for the other AT weapons. Things that you want dead fast like groups of shield devastators or rocket striders is worth a rocket from the airbust but not something like the recoilless and god forbid the spear (why would i lock onto a rocket strider?) And because of this i personally put the airburst at mid A tier. Needs a good operator to not kill teamkill lol
I agree with most of these Placements or they are close to where i'd put them. Laser Canon is not my cup of libertea either so B is valid. However the Arc Thrower is S tier. Utterly rules the bugfront, stops chargers dead in it's tracks (protecting sentries is possible) and vaporizes anything below. It also rules Squids. Stunlocks and kills Overseers very quickly, Voteless simply disappear and the Harvester can be stunlocked same as the Charger. And even on Bots it can stunlock basically everything all the way up to hulks. I don't play the Arc Thrower as often as I used to but it's S tier. Pack a Thermite and you don't need anything else, literally. Only RR and AC in S tier is too little imo
for squids: why bring an arc thrower? primary weapons can deal with literally every enemy on the squid front and in cities ammo is abundant too so what does the arc thrower really bring to the table? in fact what does any support weapon bring to the table on squid missions? not much really youd be better off just bringing an extra orbital/ eagle and chances are youll still be able to find an MG or arc thrower on the map anyways
I always find myself taking either the recoilless or autocannon. Sure they cost a backpack slot, but it's one fewer decision I have to make and allows me to take more non-worn strategems.
On the Bug front; I’m always the designated Fire Safety Officer. Wherever I go on that front, the flamethrower comes with me. And I pair it with a personal shield and I’m not sure about the other 2 slots. I either bring the Gattling Sentry, any of the good Eagle Airstrike and/or the Rail Cannon Strike/Orbital Laser when I see a big ass bug like the Bile Titan I don’t have the title yet in-game but I always come in with a fireproof suit
I mostly like the recoilless rifle, but the reload is kind of long and I sometimes resent giving up the backpack slot for it - so I do prefer the quasar cannon, but that is personal preference. Same for the autocannon, except the reload is more reasonable at the expense of AP. I hate using the spear. Not enough ammo and doesn't reliably one-shot harvesters. Don't like that it only targets some enemies so you can't even use it in a pinch. Laser cannon is situationally good - I like it with the crossbow since it doesn't need ammo and it's safe to fire at close enemies while diving or backing up. I agree it doesn't always feel useful especially when it can't take down most tank enemies without letting it cool off.
I don't see a lot of people using the flak on the autocannon but I love using it on the bottom of dropships it destroys the bots before they can even drop
The sterilizer's really more for killing light enemies like the stalwart. Could be better though, it's basically only viable if you use the gas armour.
I think like HD1 they should just make the stalwart a primary weapon And tbh the commando is used quite a lot against the illuminate and rightly so. It can takeout harvesters in one shot. And even used quite a lot against automatons
I basically main the laser cannon at lvl 44 up to lvl 8 everything. I'm often 500-700 kills with illuminate and bugs. But it does feel less than average against bots. So I just switch up my main to something explosive and run the cannon secondary
I need a bit of advice regarding the Heavy Machine gun. I want to be proficient with it, but in most cases I find that I have better accuracy and consistency with the MG4. For illuminate I can take out a harvester with the MG4 by hitting their weak spot, and for the Automatons I was concerned by its inability to chip damage heavy (5) armors, where most enemies either have medium pen weak points, or the ones that do have heavy armor either have too small or no weak points to engage. Tanks, turrets, and hulks also turn their heatsinks away too fast to destroy, whereas any launcher and quasar can take them out in a single shot.
even if you become proficient with it, it will still lose out to a lot of other support weapons, plus for maximum effectiveness youll need to bring a supply backpack anyways, which is yet another downside
Arc thrower hands down is the best for the bots and o absolutely love it. Unlimited ammo and stuns enemies and takes out the small guys and kills hulks. Love it Flamethrower for bugs (burn it all away) Idk what for the illuminate, still deciding tbh. Don’t like fighting them that much to be real
The arc thrower is also excellent against them if you need anti-chaff Otherwise, despite being mostly a rail gun main, I'll admit the AMR is kinda better, it for some reason is better at killing overseers in one headshot and also can be used to instantly destroy harvester horns and then finish them with like 5 leg shots
Laser cannon easy A tier, thing has ridiculous range and infinite ammo which means you can also arm your teammates while they take other stratagems. Pinpoint accuracy on the laser makes it great against bots too.
On controller, you hold the reload key and use the DPad, i'm not sure about KBM since I don't use that for Helldivers 2. Try it on different weapons, that menu lets you do things like change fire mode, magnification of the optic, and flashlight settings.
For keyboard and mouse your weapon sub-menu is hold reload (R) and use your croll wheel for the vertical axes and right/left click for the horizontal axes
hot tip! if this is recording you playing, I have some AMR tips for you as one who also uses it against the bots, I can only speak for the enemies you're shown shooting at but, 1 the gunships, aim for the thrusters 2 shots, scout strider, aim for the leg or the pelvis of the strider 1 shot, it's a much larger target then the head of the bot, every enemy has a different weak spot that's not difficult to target. one note, no offence I just wanted to point it out, the spear does not deal the highest armor penetration of the support weapons, last I checked at max charge the railgun penetrates at 11, while the spear is only 7, this doesn't effect you list at all though, it's just a fun fact I wanted to point out, on the topic of fun facts the railgun only has higher penetration at higher charge, not higher damage, the damage is forever locked at 600. my personal favorite is the AMR, but I think you putting it in A tier is fine, it can't kill everything, like the factory strider (technically it can but it takes 4 magazines so it's not combat viable so don't correct me on that) I would argue it's very much like the ambassador, if you're going to use it at the level of an S tier weapon, it's going to take skill, in the right hands it can be just as good as the autocannon except with mobile reload and no backpack, but that's it's downside. you need to know every enemies weak spot, some are intuitive, some are not. so A tier is fine, I can't complain when the weapon only does half the work and you must sport the rest lol.
ok, correction for myself, I found the data miner that I got that information from, and the stats changed, the railgun's damage is no longer locked, it can cap at 1500 like the wiki says, however what the wiki doesn't mention, is that the armor penetration goes up to 8 at a full charge, so still the highest penetration of the support weapons
Best use for Sterilizer, in my opinion when playing with competent squad or friends, is as support for flamethrower (primary slot one) against bugs. Gas will confuse group of them or one big enemy which allows for you or them to pour more fire on them. I noticed its great when charger is charging for it can turn its attack direction which can either just miss you or hit its ally's if close enough.
Most bugs die after 1-2 seconds of being hit with fire. Impalers can just be sprayed down, Chargers are arguably harder to kill when they are moving randomly and Titans are a no-go regardless. So please tell me in what world a Flamer + Fartthrower would be better than simply 2 Flamers or 1 Flamer with literally anything else.. Like a Arc Thrower to stun everything, even Chargers or the RR/Quasar etc to deal with Titans.
@@K1NG_of_ReVeNGe1 In a world where one wants fun? Yet if that aint enough, I ask to consider options what confused bugs allow you to do. Such as to reposition to throw strategem to wipe them, keep them in one place while other uses flamer, slow them down so you have moment to reload your flamer or heal up. Many options if you think outside the box of just killing.
@@K1NG_of_ReVeNGe1 In a world where one wants to have fun? If that aint enough, consider this: it allows to keep small to medium ones in one place which allows strategem or flamethrower to be more effective (be it yours or friendlies) and buys you time to reload/head do to enemy's being unable to push through each other (so somking first few bugs will give you enough time). If all you want is kill then stick with that, yet if one wants to have more utility then Sterilizer will do it rather well. Think outside the box.
@@kptparker "In a world where one wants to have fun?" this reads as you wanting to play with your food instead of just killing it quickly "it allows to keep small to medium ones in one place which allows strategem or flamethrower to be more effective" consider this: * throws one gas grenade to accomplish the exact same thing, WITH a lingering gas cloud that the sterilizer doesn't have and also of course without taking up my stratgem slot *
Flamethrower, A tier? You can see in your own clips exactly what the problem is with it, it's range is pathetic, it doesn't kill the enemies fast enough and they tend to charge through the fire anyway, hitting you hard (because you were so close) and setting you on fire as well! Just re-watch those clips again and try saying that A-tier one more time with a straight face. This isn't an opinion thing, you are just straight up factually wrong. And that's to say nothing of the friendly fire potential and the fact that you'll be busy running from your own teammates 500kgs and cluster bombardments as much as you'll be wasting stims from your own fire (as the clip has shown). A machine gun can do everything the flamethrower can and more, without the crippling weaknesses. With good aim, the normal MG is strictly superior to the flamethrower in every situation and if you REALLY want AOE then the Grenade launcher is vastly superior. Do you want to slowly cook the bugs from 10 meters away or instantly blow them up from 50 meters away? D-tier. It's a completely useless weapon against the bots and a terrible weapon against everyone else. It should be a primary. Much like IRL, the reason we don't use flamethrowers in Helldivers 2 is because Napalm bombardment is a thing.
Flamethrowers #1 hater right here. Looks like someone doesn't own the Salamander or the shield gen backpack Also "friendly fire potential" only applies if you are dense enough to spray down your teammates at close range 🤦🏻♂️
@@K1NG_of_ReVeNGe1 I didn't mean you dealing friendly fire damage to them, I meant THEM dealing friendly fire damage to you! You are in the way of grenade launchers, Arc weapons, Autocannons even potentially if the guy is trying to rapid fire, shotguns, turrets, mech weapons...need I go on? If you really want fire, it's Breaker Incendiary.
@ Also, you are completely ignoring what I said about re-watching your clips and see how vulnerable you are to just about everything while operating a flamethrower, including yourself. LOOK AT IT, cmon, the king is naked bro!
eh im also not a flamethrower fan and with the primary flamethrower available putting the support version in A tier is hard to justify but I still believe that if you build your whole loadout around the flamethrower, you could still consider it - say - a low A tier if you really wanted to
I can see why this channel is not that good 1.5 k subscribe and this video got 7k views and only less than 400 likes your opinion sucks should use facts and data mine to see how much the damage output each weapon do
S tier: Autocannon, Grenade Launcher, Expendable anti tank A tier: Recoilless, HMG, Normal MG, B Tier: Quasar cannon, Railgun, Spear, Anti-Materiel Rifle, C Tier: Arc Thrower, Commando, Stalwart D tier: Flamethrower, Chemical Sprayer The rest I haven't tried yet
@ Recoilless takes forever to load and has very limited ammunition, if you want rockets, you can call down 2 EATS, unload them in the blink of an eye, then go back to firing whatever you were firing. On high difficulties, enemies come by the shitload. I am willing to bet that I can kill more bugs in the space of a minute with MG+EATs than you would with your Recoilless. Furthermore, Recoilless takes your backpack slot, EATs don't. You gotta take the opportunity cost into consideration. Finally, EAT rockets can be spammed on cooldown in defensive situations, allowing you to "stock up" and rapidly shoot not 2 but 6 rockets. If you take Recoilless, you are forced to rely on your primary/secondary to clear everything that isn't either a huge cluster or a Heavy. If you take something like a Grenade launchere, you can have a laser drone beaming bugs while you spam grenades only to also blast 2 EAT rockets with no reload time if the need arises. Come on bro, you gotta recognise the points I'm making, even if you don't fully agree.
> EAT above Quasar ??? hello? EAT is 2 shots every time you call it which is about every minute Quasar is just a straight 1 shot every 18 seconds, thats 3 shots per minute Quasar just straight up has more uptime than EATs its just better and thats not even touching on jammers, the call in time (+ the +50% call in time modifier) only thing EAT has over Quasar is potential burst damage as you can like stack them up slowly and then fire them quickly but unless you totally play around it that's quite niche and certainly can't justify putting it 2 entire tiers above the Quasar
@@jabloko992 " I am willing to bet that I can kill more bugs in the space of a minute with MG+EATs than you would with your Recoilless." are we sure this is a fair comparison because I can just drop an orbital napalm barrage on the local bug breach with the one stratgem slot I saved by not bringing 2 different support weapons
@@jabloko992 I don't use the Recoilless. But even I can tell that it's S tier. Because it simply has the best damage output. How many kills ≠ how good you are. If you think that way I'm sorry for your teammates lol. If I ever use a rocket launcher I switch between Quasar or Commando - but RR is simply better for the designated Anti-tank
Hate when these guys are so bias they put obvious S tiers like EAT in B tier, like are u ranking them for real or just giving us a list of your favorite ones?
Nobody likes you dude. He clearly says that this is his opinion so it is, by definition, bias. He didn't even put the EAT in B, he put it in S. I bet you didn't even watch the video because your attention span is so shit.
EAT is not S tier hello? EAT and Quasar are the same damage EAT is 2 shots every time you call it which is about every minute Quasar is just a straight 1 shot every 18 seconds, thats 3 shots per minute Quasar just straight up has more uptime than EATs its just better so keeping that in mind, putting Quasar into S tier EAT is at best A tier
What are your favorite support weapons?
Airburst.
Cuasar canon, granade launcher and flamethrower are really fun to play mostly because of the backpack space and my favorite one is the supply one, means more granades and LOTS of ammo

When shooting hulks with the arc thrower aim over their head and it's significantly more likely to hit the eye and take the hulk out in two shots.

its 1150rpm fire rate takes shields down pretty quick too

just use the MG, stalwart leaves you helpless against harvesters and your support weapon needs to be able to deal with them

I understand where you're coming from but as a recoilless fanatic i do enjoy being able to destroy multiple targets without waiting a lot, often times i just find a rock or some small cover to reload and then peek every time i need to fire.
It pretty much come up to:
Does your build require a backpack?
Yes: Take Quasar
No: Take Recoilless
I’d say that recoilless and quasar are the same in terms of power, pure stopping power and damage goes to recoilless, but quasar is very powerful due to the auto-reload and backpack slot
Bro is pretty cool, definitely needs more recognition
Thanks!
Hate when these guys are so bias they put obvious S tiers like EAT in B tier, like are u ranking them for real or just giving us a list of your favorite ones?
@@EKk8819 do you uh not understand how opinions work or...
Thanks! I'm glad to bring a different perspective on some stuff in Helldivers 2.
All supports weapons are S tier. But the skill necessary to use them properly put each one in a different level
Yeah, the sterilizer lol
For bugs I'm a big fan of using the MG with the EAT, lets you deal with the horde and occasional bile titan. But yeah the recoilless is busted, team reloads for bot drop ships makes super helldive not that bad.
Been seeing your content more and more. Its good stuff. Thankyou for your effort andnyour content.
6:57 elevated overseer
Reasonable tier list, minus a few details I might have mentioned;
Changing fire rates on all the machine guns is a worthwhile thing to mess with.
Using the laser against bugs is crazy work
I will say that while the airburst rocketlauncher isnt great, a proper shot right under an Impaler will oneshot it.
Commando is like S tier on bots imo
commando does half the damage of expendable anti tank per missle, has twice the missles so that balances out, but overall still has twice the cooldown
so I dont know why you would ever pick commando over EAT
but then again they both are completely superfluous because the quasar cannon (with the exact same damage as EAT) exists, which lets you have 1 shot every 18 seconds, for simplicity sake lets make that 20
so thats 3 shots per minute with quasar
EAT has about a minute cooldown so 2 shots per minute
but commando with twice the cooldown and half the damage only really comes about to like 1 EAT equivalent shot per minute
now obviously this isnt 1:1, breakpoints vary and all of that, but I'm willing to wager that commando still comes out last in this
and then lastly as if the quasar cannon wasnt already running away with it its also like 5 times more convenient to use, dont need to call stratgems all the time (especially nice when its the 50% extra call in time) and also unaffected by jammer
only place where it doesnt win is potential burst damage
Commando is best against the squids bc it's harvester break points
my go to loadout is either recoiless rifle or jump pack with commando or autocannon.
Another great ranking! Are you gonna rank the backpack stratagems next?
That's not a bad idea.
Only RR and AC in S tier is too little imo
for squids:
why bring an arc thrower?
primary weapons can deal with literally every enemy on the squid front
and in cities ammo is abundant too
so what does the arc thrower really bring to the table?
in fact what does any support weapon bring to the table on squid missions?
not much really
youd be better off just bringing an extra orbital/ eagle
and chances are youll still be able to find an MG or arc thrower on the map anyways
I either bring the Gattling Sentry, any of the good Eagle Airstrike and/or the Rail Cannon Strike/Orbital Laser when I see a big ass bug like the Bile Titan
I don’t have the title yet in-game but I always come in with a fireproof suit
It's great for the sheikers and chaff enemies
The sterilizer's really more for killing light enemies like the stalwart. Could be better though, it's basically only viable if you use the gas armour.
If you hold down aim while reloading the spear it is much quicker to lock on
putting the quasar cannon (one of best bug support weapons) in B tier is crazy
Small correction about the W.A.S.P. The artillery mode is actually light pen. Think of it more as a weaker airburst.
WASP launcher is a bit misleading, artillery round definitely better for groups of fodder. you'll want burst mode for heavier targets
eats and commando is s tier on specifically defense missions as you can just keep calling them in and have a surplus of instant anti tank damage
Idk if others have asked, but what armor set is that? It looks great
It's the Cinderblock armor set with the Stone-Wrought Perseverance cape, unfortunately they just left the store recently.
@@grandmofftogan rip thanks for the reply
I think like HD1 they should just make the stalwart a primary weapon
And tbh the commando is used quite a lot against the illuminate and rightly so.
Justice for Break-action shotgun
Commando is S tier for me on the bot front. It just works with my play style so well.
Love it
Flamethrower for bugs (burn it all away)
Idk what for the illuminate, still deciding tbh. Don’t like fighting them that much to be real
The arc thrower is also excellent against them if you need anti-chaff
Otherwise, despite being mostly a rail gun main, I'll admit the AMR is kinda better, it for some reason is better at killing overseers in one headshot and also can be used to instantly destroy harvester horns and then finish them with like 5 leg shots
Good list, I agree with most of them. Here's how I would rate them for each factions out of 10

AMR 7 9 9
Stalwart 9 5 8

Arc Thrower a 6/10 on Squids is insane.
This is a really detailed breakdown! Thanks for sharing.
@ It deal well against the voteless and can stun the overseer from far away. It not great but it decent.
Laser cannon easy A tier, thing has ridiculous range and infinite ammo which means you can also arm your teammates while they take other stratagems. Pinpoint accuracy on the laser makes it great against bots too.
How do you switch the ammo types for the recoilless rifle and the auto cannon?
On controller, you hold the reload key and use the DPad, i'm not sure about KBM since I don't use that for Helldivers 2.
Try it on different weapons, that menu lets you do things like change fire mode, magnification of the optic, and flashlight settings.
For keyboard and mouse your weapon sub-menu is hold reload (R) and use your croll wheel for the vertical axes and right/left click for the horizontal axes
@@HalfWolf2 thanks man, I appreciate the help
I cant wrap my head around the fact that you only have so many subscribers, Can you please for the love of God tell me what thats all about?

Rank all other stratagems next!
I actually did that last year, the video is a bit old now but it's alright.
@grandmofftogan ah yeah sorry, i watched and loved the video!
hot tip!
if this is recording you playing, I have some AMR tips for you as one who also uses it against the bots, I can only speak for the enemies you're shown shooting at but, 1 the gunships, aim for the thrusters 2 shots, scout strider, aim for the leg or the pelvis of the strider 1 shot, it's a much larger target then the head of the bot, every enemy has a different weak spot that's not difficult to target.
one note, no offence I just wanted to point it out, the spear does not deal the highest armor penetration of the support weapons, last I checked at max charge the railgun penetrates at 11, while the spear is only 7, this doesn't effect you list at all though, it's just a fun fact I wanted to point out, on the topic of fun facts the railgun only has higher penetration at higher charge, not higher damage, the damage is forever locked at 600.
my personal favorite is the AMR, but I think you putting it in A tier is fine, it can't kill everything, like the factory strider (technically it can but it takes 4 magazines so it's not combat viable so don't correct me on that) I would argue it's very much like the ambassador, if you're going to use it at the level of an S tier weapon, it's going to take skill, in the right hands it can be just as good as the autocannon except with mobile reload and no backpack, but that's it's downside. you need to know every enemies weak spot, some are intuitive, some are not. so A tier is fine, I can't complain when the weapon only does half the work and you must sport the rest lol.
ok, correction for myself, I found the data miner that I got that information from, and the stats changed, the railgun's damage is no longer locked, it can cap at 1500 like the wiki says, however what the wiki doesn't mention, is that the armor penetration goes up to 8 at a full charge, so still the highest penetration of the support weapons
Autocannon is my favorite
what difficulty you play in?
My rankings are based on difficulty 6 and up, which I feel is fair because difficulty 6 is when super samples start to appear.
I'd say laser cannon is at least A Tier against bots, with the benefit of no backpack
You should rank every backpack next
Anti material rifle ... ❤
Break action shotgun should have been above S. Disliked and reported.
My laser cannon! Noooo

"it allows to keep small to medium ones in one place which allows strategem or flamethrower to be more effective"

* throws one gas grenade to accomplish the exact same thing, WITH a lingering gas cloud that the sterilizer doesn't have and also of course without taking up my stratgem slot *
Looks like someone doesn't own the Salamander or the shield gen backpack
Also "friendly fire potential" only applies if you are dense enough to spray down your teammates at close range 🤦🏻♂️
@@K1NG_of_ReVeNGe1 I didn't mean you dealing friendly fire damage to them, I meant THEM dealing friendly fire damage to you!

If you really want fire, it's Breaker Incendiary.
@ Also, you are completely ignoring what I said about re-watching your clips and see how vulnerable you are to just about everything while operating a flamethrower, including yourself. LOOK AT IT, cmon, the king is naked bro!
eh
im also not a flamethrower fan
and with the primary flamethrower available putting the support version in A tier is hard to justify

S tier: Autocannon, Grenade Launcher, Expendable anti tank
A tier: Recoilless, HMG, Normal MG,
B Tier: Quasar cannon, Railgun, Spear, Anti-Materiel Rifle,
C Tier: Arc Thrower, Commando, Stalwart
D tier: Flamethrower, Chemical Sprayer
The rest I haven't tried yet
Recoilless anywhere but S Tier, Flamer in the same as the Fartthrower and Arcthrower/Commando that far down are all quite insane statements
> EAT above Quasar
???
hello?
EAT is 2 shots every time you call it which is about every minute
Quasar is just a straight 1 shot every 18 seconds, thats 3 shots per minute
Quasar just straight up has more uptime than EATs
its just better
and thats not even touching on jammers, the call in time (+ the +50% call in time modifier)
only thing EAT has over Quasar is potential burst damage as you can like stack them up slowly and then fire them quickly
but unless you totally play around it that's quite niche and certainly can't justify putting it 2 entire tiers above the Quasar
@@jabloko992
