71 year old BTS Army here. Jungkook, or JK for short, is the main vocalist of BTS. He has been performing since 2013 at age 15 when BTS debuted. The choreographer is American Keone Leone and all of JK's backup dancers are well known American dancer/choreographers. They are the same as his original MV and I recommend you react to it. This track is totally late '70s, early 80's Retro disco funk and was announced as a subtle homage to MJ. This is his third mega hit after "Seven Feat Latto" and "3D Feat Jack Harlow". All are from his album GOLDEN
Just so you know, none of JK's solo releases have anything to do with Kpop other than JK is S. Korean. All of JK's solo releases including his just released album "Golden" are all in English. There are no S. Korean songwriters, producers, recording studios or MV shooting directors or locations, etc. He is blowing past Kpop and jumping head first into the American pop market. He is using American Grammy Award winning songwriters, producers, recording in the U.S. and filming at mostly U.S. locations such as Universal Studios in Hollywood. This original MV track, however, is filmed at an abandoned power plant in Budapest, Hungary. The director is a very famous Ukrainian director who has directed for Harry Styles and many others. This Usher remix is filmed in L.A.
His self professed dream of being a giant pop star has clearly begun in a big way! BTW, there are now at least 3 live performances. iHeart Radio, Jimmy Fallon Show, The Today Show, and there is a KILLER Official Choreo Version. He recently performed 5 songs at the TSX stage in Times Square, NYC. Only the third artist to ever been invited to perform there besides Post Malone and PDiddy.
This Usher Remix Performance Video of this song is ICONIC and a dream come true for JK.
ALL of BTS members are in the military now for 18 months as of Dec.12 including Jung Kook.
JK's solo album "Golden" is over to 2 billion streams now since Nov. 2. FYI, the American team of Grammy winner Andrew Watt and Cirkut wrote and produced this song in Watt's studio in L.A. They also wrote and produced his first mega hit "SEVEN Feat Latto".

International age he was only 13! Korean age is different. They are 1 or 2 older. They are one at birth. Also, depending on other factors can be 2 years older. Like JK
@@carolcrooks7018 Hi Carol, actually I think he was 13 when he signed with BigHit and started training in 2011 so was 15 when they debuted. Also, Korea has finally changed to international age. About time!!! 💜

JK is the youngest member of massive kpop group BTS. SNTY is the title track of his solo album, Golden. He released 2 singles prior the album release; Seven ft Latto and 3D ft Jack Harlow.
All BTS member has been working on solo projects since they are enlisting in the mandatory military service. As of 12/12/2023, all BTS members are in the military. They will continue group activities after June2025.
JK and BTS has been around since 2013 and their discography is extensive. They covers multiple genres as they are 3 rappers and 4 vocalist in the group.

This song is from Jung kook's album "golden", he also did collabs in his album with rapper Latto(seven) and Jack harlow (3D). I recommend you watch this songs and specially would be great if you do reaction videos to dance practices!!! Seven's and 3D's choreograghy are my most favs, but I also like choreos for his other songs cause JK always has great choreos for each song and he loves to dance and we ofc love him dancing💜🫰😅

@@kazakhstan29 I agree with you. I grew up, listening to Usher, who is one of my favorite R&B. Artists,JK Is a major fan of Usher and he has been his mentor besides MICHAEL Jackson ( since he was a very young boy) I should say both Michael Jackson and Usher have been mentors to JK. The singing is awesome and the choreography is fire. My 2 young adult daughter’s ( who are both RN’s as myself love this song and choreographed dancing ) , as do my nieces ( who I taught all to always be eclectic as dad raised us ) and nephews grew up listening to Usher and I have listened to BTS since they came out . Jung Kook has always been the lead singer and to me I can understand why. The other members as said, have branched out and have done their own music. I absolutely love the reaction to this video and have just joined the channel. Thank you

By the way up until I started nursing school, I was a competition dancer and a choreographer. I still do choreographing when I have the time, especially for the competition cheerleading team at the high school I went to, also I teach liturgical dancing, which I started at the age of four along with ballet, but jazz and R&B are my favorite. None of them have music videos, but are great songs with fan-made lyric videos.
Unfortunately, most translations butcher the message, lol (especially for the song Dis-ease, which often reads as the opposite of what they're saying). But you can still get the vibe and essence (and better translations through DoolSetBangtan).
They have a HUGE discography and these suggestions only scratch the surface.
Two of those songs are featured in the medley they do in their BTS Festa Room Live 2021chill performance.
JK leads off that video (with the backing vocals up a little too loud until they adjust it).
Definitely worth a watch to get a flavor for their range, even if it's just a collection of b-sides.

Think of BTS are like the Avengers. When the 7 members assemble they are unstoppable superheroes but they all have their own unique style of music that’s popular as soloist. It’s like in N ‘Sync , every 7 members from BTS are Justin Timberlake in the group. 6 of the 7 members all released solo albums the past year that were all very successful as each members sold from almost a million albums and up with Jungkook selling the most with over 2 million albums sold.
BTS as a group and as solo artists have around 350 songs so there are some reactors that just strictly react to BTS alone by the vast amounts of music they have. Those reactors that strictly react to only BTS is because BTS has so much content beyond just music. Examples of endless amounts of BTS related contents as a group and solo activities since the debut of BTS in 2013 to the present are: BTS dance practices, their variety shows, fanmade content made on their personalities, interviews and performances on multiple talk shows, behind the scenes of rehearsals, concerts, etc…. You can react to BTS daily for the rest of your life and still not watch everything because how much BTS content is created by their company and content created by the fans. If you feel overwhelmed, I suggest just react to BTS most popular videos and do the same if you also want to react to each 7 members solo activities. Believe me there isn’t a group in the world that can do a world tour as soloist and sell out arena 15k seats like Usher can do touring. As a group, BTS concert venues are only in 50k plus size stadium tours because of high ticket demands due to their popularity. Tickets often sell out in a few hours even before it goes on to general ticket sale. Taylor Swift and BTS I believe are likely the most in demand concert tickets around the world (Taylor Swift more so in demand in western countries)

Jungkook is one of massive talented guy in the world, his album out in november 2023 "Golden" this song standing next to you is his album title track. Also check out his live performance "time square in USA". His song "SEVEN" is the fastest song in the world to reach 1 billion.
I am a 53 year old ARMY and it was FINALLY good to hear someone that reacted to this that spoke about the funk influences in this song instead of jumping straight to the MJ references in the dancing. My first thoughts when I heard the original of this were the musical callouts to George Clinton, Morris Day and the Time and tower of power and the shoutout to regulate by Warren G. JungKook is the Golden Maknae of BTS! Golden because he is good at just about everything and Maknae means youngest!
I would recommend watching his performance on the TSX stage in Time Square! Once you see that you’ll understand why he’s so loved! Side note there was only a 30 minute notification that he was going to perform! The crowd says it all! His videos are all amazing as well is all the other BTS members! They are all very talented each having their own unique personalities and talent! Im a 59 year old Army and love them all ! So Im Biased! Good luck if you decide to listen to more!

This retro funk song is Jungkook’s song. You must check out the original song’s MV, you’ll hear his vocals and see the choreo more. It is magnificent. And check out his SEVEN as well. You can call him JK.
If you like to continue discover him is album Golden is a good start. It's an english album so if you have curiousity about how he sound in korean you can check : Still With You, Stay Alive, My you and Euphoria, My Time, Begin under BTS name.
His named is pronounced more like "Chungoog" with the last "g" being a stopped sound like "hotdog."
The Korean characters of his name do not have true Romanized equivalents, so it can range between a soft "k" and "g" sound, depending on where it's located in the word.
Can you react to his whole "golden" album?? He released this album in november 3 and then month later joined korean military I think it was december 11 or 12, he will be in the army for about two years😢 anyway I also like his songs Euphoria, Stay alive and Dreamers!!! Dreamers is FIFA's official song, He also performed it in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Opening Ceremony
By the way this album is full in english but he doesn't know english very well😅 you can watch his interview in late show with jimmy fallon, he knows english a little bit but he still was so cool😂 His first language is korean and he fluent in japanese, BTS makes albums in korean and japanese from the begining, Jungkook was first to do full English album!!!
Also interesting fact Jk has perfect pitch and thats why he doesn't have an english accent when he sings!!

Jungkook, AKA JK, AKA Kookie, is already an incredible vocalist. He is know for his perfect pitch. There is a reason he is the main vocalist for BTS. Before you pass judgement you should listen to some of his other solo song.

I love them both so much! I was a huge fan of Usher back then. I'm 38 and Usher has been my favorite since the 90s when I was in grade school. 🥰 Now, I'm a big fan of BTS, especially Jungkook. 🥰 I hope you'll listen more to Jungkook and BTS. They really have a wide genre of music. RNB, love songs, pop songs, Jazz, and some of the BTS members have solo rap songs, which are called the rap line and they're doing really good. 🥰Just try to explore more of their music. 🥰

You really need to hear his other songs and his group BTS. They do different genres of music.
Check out BTS. There is a reason they are the largest group in the world. Given you like rap, you will dig the Cyphers by the rap line, but also Tear, another rap line song. These guys write their own stuff and produce a lot of it too. They all do solo work in addition to the group and line work. BTW, Brian Puspos is the choreographer for this song, but I don't know if he did Usher's parts. Another fun fact, JK is not only the primary vocalist for BTS but rapped at the start of the group back in 2013.
Please just watch his other solo stuff also BTS.
