wild caught birds should be illegal, It's so depressing to think that this intelligent, free and happy creature was ripped away from his home and neglected at a pet store
It also hurts the population in the wild and can result in an endangered species. That's part of the reason red pandas are endangered as well as slow lorries. Plus they get it through abuse. For some species that means defanging and declawing just to make them safe pets.
It's a difficult debate to have with yourself. On the one hand, you're saving this individual bird and knowing that he's getting the best care in his situation, but on the other have, you're feeding the horrible industry of capturing animals that could have been bred properly. It's just heartbreaking.
She addressed this though. She only paid cost for the bird, meaning that there were a ton of other expenses that the shop lost out on and the shop had a very educating experience on stocking wild birds.
muireanne Birds can't recognize their own reflection, so I'm guessing it was a lot more like "Omg, look at that messy bird! Hahah, I should preen so I don't look like that sad fella"
These types of videos make me so happy. I started tearing up when i saw him eating out of your hand and hopping around. You can tell hes way happier, thanks to you of course. Good job.
Its terrible that an animal can be taken away from their original home just to be an exotic pet in a store. I am so very happy you were able to save him. You truly are amazing with animals!
Another amazing video. I know the struggle of wanting to "save" and animal but not wanting to feed that kind of pet trade. I'm glad he has such a great home. He likely would have died. A big thank you to Danny as well...he's a patient man.
Victoria Davis Lyon Thanks Victoria :) Yes the struggle is very real, but rescuing has to be done sustainably. I could ‘rescue’ a thousand bearded dragons today and then dump them on a rescue. It doesn’t solve anything. Not for the rescue or the vendor. It’s a delicate balance of what’s moral and right and what’s realistic.
Yeah, this video made me sub. It makes me so happy that despite the situation you've managed to rescue the bird, hopefully prevent the situation in that pet shop, and make a wonderful, informative video.
Yes. I would say that nobody would buy a wild bird knowing it’s a wild bird, but many people who buy one don’t know anything about birds, and they keep them in a cage for the rest of their short life, and then get mad when the bird gets sad and depressed, and they expect the bird to survive perfectly fine on cheap pellets and expect them to talk without playing or showing the bird any affection. Many people buy birds without doing any research on them. Please do not be one of these people, birds are very social animals and require lots of love and attention and a very varied diet.
your own personal existential crisis I just sub to the channel as well. When it comes to birds I just prefer for them to be in the wild. I know there are some cases when they can't live in the wild and I understand. This video just gave me hope and I will share it because I also believe about what she said about contributing to the problem when we purchase from vendors who sell animals that were captured. Really good job 👏👏👏👏👏

Ohmygod watching him begin to hop and eat from your hand made me so emotional! He's made such progress! Thank you for all your hard work and money that was put into this bird. It's great you made an agreement to the pet store to keep them from buying more. 💕💕
I really love this video, Em. Not only because you have educated us on why we shouldn't have wild caught birds, but also because you did so without demonizing the pet store owner. Amazing video, I’m glad you took him in but at the same time didn’t give the pet store any profit. I actually never would’ve thought that horn bills would be sold in pet stores, I never really thought of them as pets I was thinking this bird was an African Grey parrot at first lol. I’m glad he’s doing better! It’s a shame he’ll never be able to go back to the wild, but at least he’s in good care now:) Would you ever give him to a zoo so he could be with others of his kind in a more natural setting since most zoos are pretty good at that?

Lil' Ligs Lee Thank you Ligs. It’s going to take a looooong time to fix this bird up. They don’t moult often or well when they’re healthy, so he could take months before he looks ok.
I am very curious. As someone who strongly agrees that wild birds should STAY wild, I’ve always wondered: Could a bird like this be rehabilitated and released back into the wild? I know it can be done with doves and pigeons, but is it different with exotics?
shouyouself It *can* work, but there is a long process for it and it, like re-teaching a bird to forage, hide etc, and then when you release them you have to hope that they still have a strong immune system x
@@blissfulbirdo9608 problem with this one is it's been moved overseas, so likely no, even just because of that. I'm in Australia, it's really common here for Aussie natives to be released into the wild, even ones that were bred in captivity, but that people get bored with. The smart, social ones, like cockies, lorikeets etc all do just fine. They feel sore & sorry for themselves for a couple of weeks as they go from no flying to requiring massive amounts of flying to keep up with the local flock & get enough food, but as soon as they've built that wing strength, they fine wild. As a wildlife rescuer, if we get a bird come into care that looks like it wants to be wild, even if we can tell it was probably a pet, we'll release it, but we do a "soft release", where we supplement the food for a couple of weeks & make sure it's got somewhere safe to sleep during that time as well, so it can separate out from the flock when it needs a break & then return to them again when able & over the couple of weeks they'll transition to more & more time with the flock & after that, just come back in the hope of an easy feed, but if it's not available, they just go about normal wild life. Best bit is when a few weeks to months later they bring their new partner in for that easy feed attempt & you get to see their partner & know that they've fully adapted & are fine :) They'll then act as guides for later soft release birds you have too, taking advantage of their food supplements, but in return, giving them an easy link to follow to find the flock again when they split from it :) Any smart bird with a social lifestyle & non-territorial issues can be rehabilitated & released in this way. A bird like a kookaburra can only be released for about 1 month in the year - the point where the babies are leaving home & territory switches are in progress. Any released outside of this time will be cilled by the local family. Kookaburras conveniently "laugh" all year round except for that period to mark their territory, but there are others that don't give that indication, so sometimes those birds can't be released because of territory issues. Then there's birds like tawney frogmouths that TRY to be territorial, but are all bluff & have no capacity to cause injury with their beak lol so their territorial claims can just be ignored & bird released anyway (although it has to be rehabilitated better, as it won't be taught by the wild ones after release)
Em 😭😭😭 you're an angel! You were 100% meant to see him in the pet store that day! I wish he could've stayed in the wild but if he's going to in captivity, I'm glad it's with you 💕
Omg you named him Grinch!! I was at a reptile expo and my sister took a video of this green monitor lizard and she was like, “Your a mean one, Mr. Grinch.” XD
Thank you, Em for helping him♥️ He sure looked miserable at the first clips and it is amazing how a bird can change in such a short time with patience, love and proper care. I LOVE your videos and I am looking forward to seeing this guy in future 😊 PS. Just a quick question - is it possible that somewhere in future you could bless us with a tour of all your animals in the house? Lots of love coming from Latvia♥️
Oh my gosh my heart broke seeing the first video of him. I’m glad he’s doing better and please please keep us up to date with his progress xx I love himmmmm
his backstory is so heartbreaking I'm glad he is feeling better and glad the shop owner decided not to get anymore wild caught birds. wild caught is so stressful for animals, I wish people would think about animals as living creatures with feelings and needs rather than money.
Kjones I had the same thought! I remember Simba singing to Zazu "kings don't need advice from little hornbills". Really beautiful creature, such a pity to be out of its home.
This is why I subscribed in the first place ❤️ been here since before you moved and when you barely had a handful of videos. You are so genuine and caring. Any animal in your care is truly living it’s best life :) I’m glad this bird found its way to you even if it was under sad circumstances
I absolutely love your patience, love, and dedication on your pets. Seeing the amount of progress youve made with Grinchy in such a short amount of time is absolutely amazing. Youve earned a new follower. I cant wait to see how much further Grinchy grows. ❤
Would you consider doing a bearded dragon informational video? I recently got a beautiful baby girl and she's quite the fickle eater, she's sweet but she's in shed and isn't getting her veggies. Any tips? I've tried wrapping the bugs in veggies but she just picks around the mustard greens.
Maybe you need to give her time. :) Try lots of different things! My girl, Trisha, isn't a very good veggie/fresh food eater, and she never has really. She goes crazy for insects though!! Get calcium powder to sprinkle in the veggies, too, so they are healthier.
Emzotic Kale and spinach are both bad for beardies, or really any reptile as they block the reception of calcium by the body If you really need a video watch videos from different sources, NEVER rely on just one source or person no matter how much they seem to know (no offense emziotic but Im sure you’ll agree, none of us are experts)
Bearded dragons NEVER turn down dandelion greens, as long as your yard is free from pesticides and mulch etc free feel to pluck a bunch of the things and chuck em in as bite size bits. Babies tend to just eat insects though, in the wild babies almost solely eat insects (sadly feeders aren’t as wholesome as wild caught insects due to their diet, do in captivity we feed more greens then they normally would eat)
But like I said, never rely on one person, the internet is filled with recourses, read and watch from like 10 places before deciding the best alternative for you
I recently discovered your channel! You are such a kind and sweet spirit and feel so lucky to be able to learn about a variety of animals and species from you! Much love from Texas ❤️❤️❤️
all 4 of my parrots were adopted (and my cat). there's no reason to buy from a breeder unless adoption is not within a day's drive of you. it's sickening that people trap and breed animals for profit. it should be an industry motivated by compassion and respect for the environment but it's not. it's all about money.
Discord's Daughter If you can only get one bird, buying a bred bird means another is stuck at a shelter. Then you also encourage more birds to be bred.
Discord's Daughter If you can't adopt and your ONLY alternative is to buy a bird, then why are you asking in the first place? What I said is true, whether there are birds available to adopt or not.
I loved working with hornbills in south Africa last summer, sad he was wild caught :( give him a good, loving home where he can perform natural behaviours, no doubt you will you are truly amazing ❤️
The progress is astonishing! I help out with rescue, and sadly people just aren't educated enough about animal welfare, especially when it comes to birds and specialised birds. Your awareness and education about this topic is spot on! Thank you for the kind hard work you two have put in to make sure Grinch has a very happy fun filled life!
As someone who is wanting to become an avian vet I thank you for making this video, leave wild animals alone, don't touch them they're wild! Captive bred yes fine perfect but wild imo should be illegal
I have watched a lot of your videos but this is the first time seeing this one. I never realized Grinchy was a wild caught bird. It's so unfortunate that we live in a world that does things like this but I'm so happy that you bought him and are giving him his best life possible!
What a good boy! Such a cheeky little guy. I hope he does a 180, cause he seems like an awesome bird. Edit: I subscribed because of this, I want to see more Grinchy!
I just randomly stumbled upon this, and just- thank you. Thank you for putting the time to take care of this guy. Even if he does die prematurely, the fact that he got good some last few months is wonderful. Thank you for being so kind.
It’s great to see how happy he is now, we’ll done! I know these birds are expensive but it might be a good idea to get him a friend? He must miss his family 😔
I LOVE YOU EM I want a pet so bad but my mom doesn't trust me even though I'm VERY responsible and I really want a dog and I have had one and I need your help can you make a video about what having a pet teaches kids and what pets are good for 10 year olds and older pls even if you don't I still love your animals and vids! OMG WHEN I SAW THAT YOU HEARTED MY COMMENT I SCREAMED AND MY FRIEND WAS SO WORRIED THIS IS MY FIRST heart and FROM MY FAV UA-camR EEEEEEEE
I know how that feels, but think about this: when you go to college, what happens to the dog? If you want to travel to another country, what are you going to do with him? When you want to move out and rent your own house, a lot of places wont accept pets. Im not saying you shouldnt have a pet, but just think about those things :)
Gabrielle Cristina I hear this all the time, but it's such a stupid argument. Not everyone wants to move out the moment they turn 18, and it's always possible to find a living accommodation that allows dogs. One just needs to make some other sacrifices.
@ ActiveAnimals And who's going to pay for vet bills? Dogs need vaccinations, deworming, anti-parasite treatment and that's just the regular stuff... What about possible operations? I highly recommend spaying or neutering your dog and then there's always stuff that can potentially happen. You need to be prepared for that. Also, a dog needs training and regular walks of at least 2h total every day. How's a 10 year old going to shoulder that? No 10 year old can care for a dog on her/his own. Actually, no 10 year old can care for ANY animal on her/his own. Unless the parents agree to help out, I'd rather NOT buy an animal for a short sighted child. I'm sorry, I'm just sick an tired of animals bought as a "childs toy" that nobody properly cares for anymore as soon as the child loses interest. Usually it's bunnies or small rodents and those animals are seriously suffering under the circumstances. I see it every day. It's sad, really. :( Every animal is a huge responsibility from hamster to pony and a dog might live up to 15 years of age, that's a long life.
I don't normally comment on videos but this video honestly broke my heart and made me so happy at the same time. It was so sad to see Grinchy so lifeless and depressed and to think about the trauma he must have went through being taken from his home, but then to see him doing so much better and come to life under your care is just so amazing. Thank you for caring enough to give him a second chance! Would definitely love to see updates on his progress in the future! Keep up the amazing work Em!
Thank you for stepping up and giving this little guy a chance at life. It breaks my heart to hear such stories, and had tears in my eyes when you showed him right after you brought him home. You have done fantastic work with him and I hope he continues to improve and find new joy in his new life.
Wow! He’s looking so much better em! This melts my heart knowing that he was living his best life in the wild swarming through the scenery of Africa and before he could flap his wings one more time, he ended up confined to a cage in a pet shop. It’s so uplifting to see people like you who educate not only your viewers but also pet stores that are responsible for causing so much physical and mental harm to animals. Thank you so much Em for just being you, you’re amazing xoxoxox
Aw I’m so happy Grinchy is doing so much better, and I hope that pet store and many others will think more about the pets their bringing into their store. Thank you Em!!!
UGHHHHHHH im in love with this bird and seeing him move forward with you is beautiful. you are an amazing friend to have and i love watching you do amazing things with your animals.. good job and good luck with grinchy
You are amazing and I definitely agree on not supporting that kind of or any kind of animal cruelty for example in pet chain stores.. It's great that you got to take him/her home to care for without giving them money.. I love how you see all the sides to the story and just want the best for all animals... Your videos are amazing and I love your content since you don't intentionally seek pain for animals just so you could turn out to be a hero in videos.. I can also just from the other side of the screen see how well you care for and love your animals and all animals in general sorry all the blabbering I just love and respect you so much (: You're also so pretty
Its a pity she still payed them though. Even she cant know how much profit the store made from that sale in the end. They may have told her that she got it at purchase price but who knows. As she has already pointed out, there is really NO room for buying wildcaught birds in this way. Its a horrid fact for any animal lover to face.
Well I mean ofc.. I just meant it's great she got to help him (the bird) and he didn't have to die in the store etc.. I'm trying to point out the positive in such a negative situation like this. It just probably wouldn't have happened in some other place or other circumstance that she got to take him home like that and it's a horrible coincidence he was taken from the wild BUT a great coincidence he got to live.
This video has made me so happy seeing how much he has changed over the little amount of time you’ve spent with him so far! So much positive progress! Brilliant work to say the least! World needs more people like you xx
I cried a lot in this video, thinking what some greedy humans can do to animals just for money makes no sence to me, thanks for working so hard on changing the planet Em, I’ll be forever grateful for people like you and Danny.
I absolutely love your videos. They’re incredibly educational and well done! As someone who has been a lover of birds and has owned them my whole life, I really do appreciate and admire your hard work to care for this exotic creature. Owning a bird, especially an exotic one, is incredibly time consuming and hard work, but it’s so rewarding! They’re wonderful creatures with so much to offer. I hope to see more of Grinch’s progress 😊
Great video, I agree whith everything you said! I think in this case you did the right thing by taking him home. It was the best choice given the situation. His progress made me so happy and I hope to see him in many other videos! Most exotic birds have such complicated care! After a lot of research I got a cockatiel :) and I can say even if she's small she is a lot of work everyday! People don't realize that even getting a budgie( small, cheap cute bird) is not just about putting it in a cage and filling his bowl of seeds ... :(
Omg this made me literally cry, tears of joy that you got him and sadness for other birds that have to go through what he did. Love you Em and thank you for saving him!
Em... what can i say? you are the best person i know... What u do for animals it's beautiful ! you are beautiful! Just continue to be that wonderful person. I do not know what to say, you're fantastic.
That poor baby! So glad you are able to help him. It’s awesome that you spoke to the store and maybe even helped other poor little guys that might’ve been brought into the same situation!
A massive congratulations emz you have done just fantastic love all your vids.. I'm a recent owner of a wild caught tiger snail. So i have my work cut out too xx
People like you give me hope that our species isn't all bad. It's so rewarding to help an animal out and see their personality come to life. I'm glad you put the pet store in their place about wild animals.
Although he was sad when you got him I could see that he had once been a very beautiful bird and can still be one. I'm actually really happy I found you because you are the only person I have personally found who is actually positive about keeping birds. You have done this bird a huge favor and have brought him back. I already love you :)
Beautiful video👏 I know plenty of breeders who love their birds and raise them like their own children. There is no reason to support the harm to beautiful animals.
I am in tears, thank you so much for taking in this bird and doing it in a way that is not feeding into this really sad problem. My heart was so relived to see your birds progress. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This warms my heart so much. I'm so happy that Grinchy is making progress and he's better. I really do love and admire you and what you do so much Em 💓
I can tell how empathetic you are Em and I deeply appreciate that about you! Thank you for your passion and your determination in education. Love you and Danny!
Just discovered this video and I have to say what an absolutely fantastic job you've done and how very lucky indeed that you happened to be the one to rescue this poor creature. Watching was very emotional and also heartwarming to see his progress xxx
wild caught birds should be illegal, It's so depressing to think that this intelligent, free and happy creature was ripped away from his home and neglected at a pet store
i agree 100%. all of my birds have been adopted. there's too many of them to go around and the majority of owners are inexperienced and inpatient.
I’m pretty sure in some places it’s illegal. It should be everywhere though.
Agree L

Buy every animal at the store and they'll go bankrupt
Vasiliosaurus no they won’t. They’ll just get another shipment from the animal mills and abuse them with the money YOU gave them. Just steal them.
Alyssa M ha ha, you can enjoy your stolen pets in prison
Hannah Stanley gladly :)
So basically he saw the mirror and went "jeez I look horrible" and started to groom himself.
muireanne Pretty much!! Birds encourage each other to preen, so he thought he was seeing another bird and it reminded him to preen :)
Haha!
Or he was like "Oh shit, another bird! I can't let them see me like this, gotta clean myself up!"
muireanne Birds can't recognize their own reflection, so I'm guessing it was a lot more like
"Omg, look at that messy bird! Hahah, I should preen so I don't look like that sad fella"

Same here! I also subbed for Grinchy
Yes.

What about building a large cage for him outdoors to get fresh air and sunlight every now and then ? I feel so bad for him.
Paige that’s the goal :)
7 months later and he got his outdoor cage :D
Grinchy jumping out of his cage at the very end brought me so much joy^^
Ohmygod watching him begin to hop and eat from your hand made me so emotional! He's made such progress! Thank you for all your hard work and money that was put into this bird. It's great you made an agreement to the pet store to keep them from buying more. 💕💕
Its sad how all of these beautiful animals are captured and just stuffed in a cage expected to be in great condition.
I love that you educated and kept it entertaining, I loved this video !
He's beautiful, hornbills are so neat. I pray he does well in your care.
I really love this video, Em. Not only because you have educated us on why we shouldn't have wild caught birds, but also because you did so without demonizing the pet store owner. I find some animal lovers can very judgemental and angry (not that you shouldn't be) and it's so refreshing to see someone so balanced.
The very last clip of him/her leaving the cage made me tear up a bit.

Emzotic of course beauty!!!
Emzotic hi I voted for u

I had no idea birds were such sensitive creatures. This video was absolutely wonderful. What a beautiful animal.
I can’t wait to see an update on him in a couple of months. The change in him was so great to see. Poor baby.
i’m so happy he’s progressing!! thank goodness you’re giving him the care he deserves! i cant wait to see him at his fullest happiest potential

Best bit is when a few weeks to months later they bring their new partner in for that easy feed attempt & you get to see their partner & know that they've fully adapted & are fine :) They'll then act as guides for later soft release birds you have too, taking advantage of their food supplements, but in return, giving them an easy link to follow to find the flock again when they split from it :)
Any smart bird with a social lifestyle & non-territorial issues can be rehabilitated & released in this way.
I’m glad to see Grinch is doing well. There isn’t a lot sadder then seeing a animal that isn’t being cared for properly suffer.
Grinch.” XD
Yeeess I want to see more of him, I hope he's doing better ! Your work is amazing
Thank you, Em for helping him♥️ He sure looked miserable at the first clips and it is amazing how a bird can change in such a short time with patience, love and proper care. I LOVE your videos and I am looking forward to seeing this guy in future 😊
PS. Just a quick question - is it possible that somewhere in future you could bless us with a tour of all your animals in the house?
Lots of love coming from Latvia♥️
Oh my gosh my heart broke seeing the first video of him. I’m glad he’s doing better and please please keep us up to date with his progress xx I love himmmmm
his backstory is so heartbreaking I'm glad he is feeling better and glad the shop owner decided not to get anymore wild caught birds. wild caught is so stressful for animals, I wish people would think about animals as living creatures with feelings and needs rather than money.
gazettefan42 totally :) I’m glad they agreed not to sell anymore wild birds xx
Flirting doves?🕊❤️
Haha😂❤️
Amanda Draws two flirting doves and an eggy in a bird nessttt ☺️ that's a Christmas song I could listen to!
It made me so sad to imagine what his life had been when he was free in Africa 😔
when it reached your hand after months being taken care by you thoo 😭😭💕💕
anw i hope you win the award!!💯👊👊🎊
So much progress in short time. Praying for continued progress. Isn't zazu from the lion king a horn bill? Hehe.
Kjones yes!
Kjones I had the same thought! I remember Simba singing to Zazu "kings don't need advice from little hornbills". Really beautiful creature, such a pity to be out of its home.
@Elsa Molarsky Ha ha true!
This is why I subscribed in the first place ❤️ been here since before you moved and when you barely had a handful of videos. You are so genuine and caring. Any animal in your care is truly living it’s best life :) I’m glad this bird found its way to you even if it was under sad circumstances
Andi Hernandez Thank you so much for your support :)
God Bless you for saving this beautiful creature 💚
You’re such a wonderful human being. I love hearing you talk. Very insightful and interesting stuff! ❤️
Some can be picky eaters. Try lots of different veg. Mine don’t like kale, but love spinach!
Maybe you need to give her time. :) Try lots of different things! My girl, Trisha, isn't a very good veggie/fresh food eater, and she never has really. She goes crazy for insects though!! Get calcium powder to sprinkle in the veggies, too, so they are healthier.
Emzotic
Kale and spinach are both bad for beardies, or really any reptile as they block the reception of calcium by the body
If you really need a video watch videos from different sources, NEVER rely on just one source or person no matter how much they seem to know (no offense emziotic but Im sure you’ll agree, none of us are experts)
Hannah Akins Thank you! Big love to Texas!
Love you Em! I truly admire the way you educate people and don't just sugar coat everything Grinchie looks great ♥️☺️
all 4 of my parrots were adopted (and my cat). there's no reason to buy from a breeder unless adoption is not within a day's drive of you. it's sickening that people trap and breed animals for profit. it should be an industry motivated by compassion and respect for the environment but it's not. it's all about money.
Texaslife43 what about good breeders that care for their animals?
Discord's Daughter If you can only get one bird, buying a bred bird means another is stuck at a shelter. Then you also encourage more birds to be bred.
Lucille Fisher not sure what kind of shelter you go to but none where I live have birds.
Discord's Daughter If you can't adopt and your ONLY alternative is to buy a bird, then why are you asking in the first place?
What I said is true, whether there are birds available to adopt or not.
Lucille Fisher sooo since there's no shelters where I live that have birds I shouldn't be able to own a bird?
I totally agree!! I absolutely hate when pet stores get wild caught animals!!
I loved working with hornbills in south Africa last summer, sad he was wild caught :( give him a good, loving home where he can perform natural behaviours, no doubt you will you are truly amazing ❤️
It's so cute having dobby and niffler in the background
Hafsah Khawaja Yes this Video took ages to film because I kept giving them cuddles xx
This story really broke my heart. I hope Grinchie improves with leaps and bounds.
Joanna G. thank you Joanna. I’m trying my best for him xx
As someone who is wanting to become an avian vet I thank you for making this video, leave wild animals alone, don't touch them they're wild! Captive bred yes fine perfect but wild imo should be illegal
Try to put plants for him to hide :)
Madeleine LR All in the plans :)
I really hope you will continue to update us on Grinch!
Who gonna pay for the vet bills?
I know how that feels, but think about this: when you go to college, what happens to the dog? If you want to travel to another country, what are you going to do with him? When you want to move out and rent your own house, a lot of places wont accept pets. Im not saying you shouldnt have a pet, but just think about those things :)
Gabrielle Cristina I hear this all the time, but it's such a stupid argument. Not everyone wants to move out the moment they turn 18, and it's always possible to find a living accommodation that allows dogs. One just needs to make some other sacrifices.
@ ActiveAnimals
And who's going to pay for vet bills?
Every animal is a huge responsibility from hamster to pony and a dog might live up to 15 years of age, that's a long life.
kiwi lps same here i wnated a cockatiel or any bird pet..but my dad says it will distratct me in my studies..duh
Keep up the amazing work Em!
wow the transformation of that bird was beautiful 💛 you’re doing an amazing job
Jazmine Rouse Thank you :) it’s early days but I’m hopeful
Thank you for stepping up and giving this little guy a chance at life. It breaks my heart to hear such stories, and had tears in my eyes when you showed him right after you brought him home. You have done fantastic work with him and I hope he continues to improve and find new joy in his new life.
Aww You’re Incredible For Helping This pour Bird 💓💓 I completely understand what you’re saying even though helping one animal Makes a difference
A hornbill?!? I’m a pet store?!? Some people.🙄 My goodness thank you for making this video.❤️
Mia Doherty Yeah I don’t think many people understand what it takes to raise such a specialist bird.
Aw I’m so happy Grinchy is doing so much better, and I hope that pet store and many others will think more about the pets their bringing into their store. Thank you Em!!!
As a pet lover...i absolutely love your videos.. don't stop
I tooootally agree with you, and I'm very happy to talk about this and about the "saving" from the pet store. You're A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
Aaaand when the dove(s) flirting my puppy started barking protectively. :'DDD
UGHHHHHHH im in love with this bird and seeing him move forward with you is beautiful. you are an amazing friend to have and i love watching you do amazing things with your animals..
good job and good luck with grinchy
And this is how Grinchy the Devourer of Worms came to be....💜
You are amazing and I definitely agree on not supporting that kind of or any kind of animal cruelty for example in pet chain stores..
Wow I can’t believe pet stores take animals in that are WILD CAUGHT THATS SO MEAN
yeah some pet stores do that it sucks
I cried a lot in this video, thinking what some greedy humans can do to animals just for money makes no sence to me, thanks for working so hard on changing the planet Em, I’ll be forever grateful for people like you and Danny.
HE LOOKS AMAZING NOW
I absolutely love your videos.
Ana Melo 👍👍❤❤
That poor baby! So glad you are able to help him. It’s awesome that you spoke to the store and maybe even helped other poor little guys that might’ve been brought into the same situation!
Last time I was this early, Camila was still in fifth harmony
h.j.hunt Oh snap!
I’m so glad he was doing better by the end. So happy you found him and decided to help. You have a good heart. ❤️
Yass preach Em we shall all soak in your words of wisdom
DC Police Bathe in them!!! X
Although he was sad when you got him I could see that he had once been a very beautiful bird and can still be one. I'm actually really happy I found you because you are the only person I have personally found who is actually positive about keeping birds. You have done this bird a huge favor and have brought him back. I already love you :)
Beautiful video👏
I know plenty of breeders who love their birds and raise them like their own children. There is no reason to support the harm to beautiful animals.
The little guy is so precious and beautiful
Thanks Artsy! Yes I FULLY support captive breeding efforts and I know most breeders care massively for their birds :)
i’m so thankful amazing and kind people like you exist! much love ❤️
Em, you're such an incredible person, you're so kind and good, you fill my heart with love
Ayla Kailiana Thank you :£
Honestly my favorite UA-camr. You’re such a sweet a genuine person and learning about all different kinds of creatures from you is the best.
I really wish I could vote for you but I don't have Facebook! ARGGGGGH!
emmysjj same here
SAME😭😭😭😭
I am in tears, thank you so much for taking in this bird and doing it in a way that is not feeding into this really sad problem. My heart was so relived to see your birds progress. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I own two parakeets and the differences in the behaviour of them and Grinch (when he just moved in) are so big!
This warms my heart so much. I'm so happy that Grinchy is making progress and he's better. I really do love and admire you and what you do so much Em 💓
Omg 😍 you pair are amazing! Goodluck to grinch and his recovery!
I saw his new outdoor enclosure before I saw this video. He is such a different bird and this absolutely broke my heart to see him like this.
Em, I have that jacket.
I have it too 😂😍
Same
So have i😂
Madison Hunsicker where's it from?
I can tell how empathetic you are Em and I deeply appreciate that about you! Thank you for your passion and your determination in education. Love you and Danny!
You are so inspiring! You make me want to be a better person myself! Because of you, my pets are very very healthy! Thank you!
Thank you so much for saving this bird, you are so precious. We don’t deserve you !
Poor bird I feel sorry for him 😭. But he’s with u now he’s going to have a good life 💖he will live it
Just discovered this video and I have to say what an absolutely fantastic job you've done and how very lucky indeed that you happened to be the one to rescue this poor creature. Watching was very emotional and also heartwarming to see his progress xxx
