Man the fact that the Luminary travelled back in time with a weapon guaranteeing protection and pulling off the “you ain’t gonna pull the same shit on me twice!” on Jasper was exciting lmao.
I've always wondered why rainbow bridges never seem to be straight. It just seems so unnecessary for them the twist and turn forever like they do. The only time I've seen a straight rainbow bridge was in the Thor movies.
That doesn't seem to check out. Yeah there is a theory about that with the broken sword of light, but the dragon quest games seem to operate under linear time, rather then multiverse theory. We see that most prominently in 7. Also with 11 striving to make the happiest ending possible in act 3, itd be quite a dark loose end to know there is a ruined world you left behind, one where your friends will never see you again, on top of those they've already lost. That doesn't at all gell with the tone here. When hero tried back, time itself was rewound. Alls that was preserved was his power, equipment, experience, and his memories. There's also some evidence such as characters regaining their levels, as well as if you choose to mary serena its implied she may have subconscious recollection of act 2. That wouldn't happen if there were two worlds. Lastly, if this were an alternate relaity it'd imply that there is an alternate hero, which there clearly is not.
@@TheSpaceking12 That being said, When Serenica goes back into the past it doesn't actually rewrite the events of the current game. Which leads me to think its Multiverse Theory UNLESS the Luminary is the one to travel back in time.
ok can someone explain why doesn't he(the luminary) explain like right now that the king is possessed? why wouldn't they believe him? i was never able to look past that since it like he your enemy and you know this? and he even leaves the sword alone in his own base.... why!?!?!
My guess is that the Luminary lost his memories of the original timeline when he traveled. Something similar to Erik's deal with the Seer in his side-story (Erik trade his memories for more power to defeat Indignus), but permanent.
@@geekdaparaiba that would make a lot of sense since you know he had a vision right when he was about to take the sword of light and maybe it’s the same as Serena’s and jade’s cases, both of them remember a a lot of things from act 2 but just when they see something related and it’s just a glimpse
It's assumed the Luminary remembers everything similar to the player, as you can go to places such as Battleground to get the Supreme Sword of Light and the gallopolis horse races for the hammer.
@@littlemoth4956 yea but the others dont know that since you reset everything. Also your their friends if they believe you after now suddenly carrying a weapon from no where and stopping attacks from a nearly invunrable guy with said sword i habe to listen to what thry have to say

super-satisfying when Mordegon gets put down like a rabid dog this time

I mean… Rainbows aren’t exactly straight.
Damn, it’s almost as if rainbows aren’t straight in real life...
Heh. Rainbows not being straight.
Bad joke ik. Sorry.

Technically he went to the alternate reality

Lemme put it in a much simpler way...
Multiverse theory's a BITCH.

Because we’d all totally believe a guy saying the king is a demon, especially after only just figuring out he wasn’t evil.
