Classic Witch House!! TEARIST has never left my brain even after all these years. Such brilliant and unapologetic music is hard to forget. Sending all the love to Yasmine Kittles and William Strangeland 💟🖤💕
Yasmin is nice in person very humble not st all a hipster. she has had a lot if tragedy in her life. I met her about 7 or 8 years ago when this song 2as fresh. this is no doubt my favorite song of the kxlu set. so guys and girls . please play nice with each other. we may live different lives yet we share the same frequency.
I remember when I first saw this vid back in the day, her performance really stuck in my memory but couldn't remember the title. Didn't realize she was getting a lot of flak/labled as 'hipster' in a negative way or whatever
ill add to this - grew up on synth sounds and loved it - but never got any acceptance. ended up hanging out with the hardcore punk crowd. 30 years later? after crisis and trauma after trauma. out of fucks to give. here i am. this performance is amazing. couldnt ask for anything better.
you know what they...the more haters the better...means your doing something right....and ive noticed the only people who hate are the people who cant do it themselves
Cool! Reminds me of beloved early synthpop/electronica/industrial (DAF, Front 242, Human League, Einsturzende Neubauten); great to hear artists getting back to that; totally love that raw n clunky starkness and catharsis
I've never smoked crack before as it goes. Horses for courses, you think it is necessary to be cracked out to enjoy this whilst I think it's quite special. in fact I just returned now to enjoy the performance all over again. it is indeed 'phat'. ☺
Sleepysidney Fair game. I was just intrigued as to whether you were actually being sarcastic or not. To be honest I did not give it a chance past the flailing around on the floor. Listening to it again without watching the video revealed that it was not as shitty and crack-luv'n as I originally thought. The sardonic suburban wasteland youth thing feels kinda contrived for me though. Horses for courses indeed. I suppose these or not the really virtuosic arts. Still though, I retract a portion of my original prejudice.
I love a girl who is willing to be convulsively indifferent on camera. I also like how at one point, it only takes a single finger from one hand to keep the song going.
Very nice industial wave and good ilustration of western civilzation's moving to nowhere?? And the question is what's with optimistic Kardashev's scale? :O
Definitely agree with you. What I am saying specifically and perhaps I didn't articulate it correctly is that people who don't have the courage to put up work ought not use lazy and insulting adjectives against people who do. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion either way and I am sure this comment isn't going to prevent people from engaging in that sort of behavior, but I felt compelled to point it out. I used aggressive wording but I was feeling sassy at the time.
the "singing" is actually very good.the background music and noises are a little too deliberate and calculated.but i kind of like it that way. two intelligent sound makers.i like them .

When music is art and driven by emotion, where nothing is perfect and everything is real, and felt.
10 years later, still love their performance and vibe.
Always
the more you listen to this the more magic it gets
she is obviously passionate about this... I don't understand how you can get better than feeling your self and creation...
you know what they...the more haters the better...means your doing something right....and ive noticed the only people who hate are the people who cant do it themselves
Wow. Where has this been all my life?

+Sleepysidney If this was sarcasm, then "phat lol". If not, put down the crack-pipe.
I've never smoked crack before as it goes.

Maryanne TheOddball that’s not a dj. That’s what is called an electronic musician. Ugh.

Absolute love.
Это божественно!
True there are a lot of people who aren't really down for the truly strange and probably aren't very open minded. I feel you on that.

Dang that's what I'm talking about... hipsters can only be fans but artists are the movement
I Have a crush on Yasmine Kittles♥
its like suburban lawns with just a hint of art school aesthetics and some adderall
Stole the words out of my ass!
@ptc5010 totally agree- unless it is an actual performance like the knife or the residents do- you know?
@TheCunningAndFought I agree, if you listen this music without watching the video or know anything about her style it is still a good song.
that was so sick
the "singing" is actually very good.the background music and noises are a little too deliberate and calculated.but i kind of like it that way. two intelligent sound makers.i like them .
