So I returned my Smokefire and bought a Rec Tec RT-700. The difference in quality is remarkable! As much as I liked cooking on the Smokefire, it just had too many issues. I bought a pellet smoker/grill for the convenience of not having to babysit the cooker. I highly recommend the Rec Tec. If you're still in your return window, maybe consider it...

Still in the window. I'm pretty much set on returning it after my last cook. I'm might just go back to smoking on my kettle for a while and see what happens in the next year with pellets.

Looks like it needs a clean out, lots of grease.

Dude that’s ballsy putting 3 huge briskets on a grill with known issues. You could have lost a lot of meat. Way to hang in there with this pos grill though. Best of luck to you

Tony, I've got to hand it too you for hanging in there through all of this bullshit with the Weber Smokefire. Weber ought to give you some kind of reward for your efforts.
I like the grill and will buy one as soon as they get this thing working like they have been saying it would work for months now. They need to get it working 100% though. They promised a lot and I expect them to live up to it. Just bandaids won't do.
I'm a happy owner of a Weber Genesis E335 and have a lot of respect for Weber but they really screwed up with the Smokefire. I can't think of a single reputable grill manufacturer who would put a grill on the market with problems like this one has.
    Good luck. I'll keep watching.

@TonyNgo I see a problem with your pellet slide that is probably causing your flameouts. You have it under the flavorizer rack which allows grease to funnel to the fire 🔥 pot causing flameouts.
Other people with no flameouts have their pellet slide on top of the flavorizer rack, preventing grease funneling.

Did Weber put anything about this? I just looked over the instructions again. Last time I checked step 29 chute install was before 31 flavorizer bar support install. If a detail like that needed to be done to not have such an issue they need to address it. This is like telling me to put my pants on then take my pants off to put my underwear on then put my pants back on. Seems like a plausible fix but I’m doing a crawfish boil tomorrow not fiddling with my firehazard. I have a few tickets I submitted with them through the app and waiting on some replies. I guess I can add this ticket to the list as well after I get a response for the others.

Tony Ngo Trendkill BBQ pointed it out in one of his videos. He wasn't sure which way it was suppose to be but noticed the rack did not fit snug unless he let the pellet shoot be on top. He has had no problems. I've been looking at all WSF videos out there and looking for that. People with shoot on top don't have your problems. I also noticed the crud buildup you have around the pellet auger which suggests that grease is funneling down your shoot since it is under the rack.

I hate that we the consumers have to make assumptions on what we need to do to make a $1000 grill work. If this was a $189 walmart grill I wouldn't mind all the shortfalls but enough is enough. I've waited long enough for weber to say something and tried enough to make it work. I think it's time to let it go back to the store. My return date is fast appoarching i'm just waiting on weber to reply to me on some open tickets but I think i'm throwing in the towel on this one.

You might need an auger assembly call Weber support.

Get rid of it while you can. You’re spending $1,200 for a grill that is giving lots of people issues. Get your money back before it’s to late. It’s obvious there is a major problem with this grill. Only way Weber is gonna fix this is by hitting them in there pockets.

I’m 99% there. I just need a hand loading it in the truck.

If WSF had a better reputation someone might have rolled it away Brisket and All.
