PALAK PANEER IS LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm transitioning to veganism and was freaked out that i couldn't get my favorite indian dish anymore. thanks!
Your channel is seriously so chill and realistic which I appreciate as someone trying to transition to mostly plant based!! Plus you're so sweet 💕 so glad I found your channel!
Chana masala is my favorite Indian food. I'm always too lazy to make my own because there's an amazing Nepalese/Indian food restaurant near me, but you've inspired me! Also, I picked up some tandoori naan that was vegan from Trader Joe's last week. Not as good as fresh naan, but definitely less hassle.
All of the Indian food looked AMAZE! I have always wanted to make the "paneer" spinach dish, I can't remember the name, but it looked legit! Loved coming along with you!!! 🌞🌞🌞
After seeing that oatmeal I know what I will be having in the morning. I think I will even take some time to make it pretty. Thanks for food tips Caitlin!
This was the first video i watched from you because it was in my recommended and honestly i'm so glad it was. I love you so much, especially all your recipes & videos. You're so down to earth. I'm just so glad i found your channel. ❤️
I am an Indian and you did an awesome job with the palak paneer/tofu! I am definitely gonna try making it without oil! Also, could you give some advice for beginners who are trying to get lean! Thanks! xoxo p.s love your videos!
I completely agree with your statement! I am indian too. I was very impressed with them and how accurate the food looked. Now only if people start eating Dal Bhaat..
mbbeauty24 Brittany and Mason just look it up and compare the nutritional info haha. I think it has more protein and nutrients. And btw peanuts aren't even a real nut haha. I just prefer the taste of almond butter
mbbeauty24 Brittany and Mason peanuts have more lysine, an essential amino acid that is mainly found in beans, than almonds. Almonds are more hipster. There's your pros and cons.
When you see a black screen and the words "So..." you already know there's lost footage 😂😂😂 the food looked soooo good though! Definitely need to try making vegan Indian food.
I only met vegans, not made friends with them. I'm only 14 years old and you can hardly find other vegans your age. Now, I did find vegetarian students around school (I go to high school) but no vegans yet. Must be great to have vegan friends.
I use to LOVE Sag Paneer. I am so going to try your recipe!!!! Thank you for introducing me to some new YTbers. I love Indian food but it is usually very fattening, has lots of oil, very rich but oh so yummy and savory.
Haha so I was looking for a vegan Indian recipe video and I was looking at all the thumbnails and most do them are all pink and aesthetically pleasing with tea and veggies in the picture but NO ACTUAL INDIAN FOOD IN THE THUMBNAIL lol and then I saw ur thumbnail and I was like THIS LOOKS PERFECT I was not disappointed lol
what yoga mat do you use?? i saw you used jade yoga mats from a previous video but was wondering if you have any other recommendations or if its worth the splurge :)
Alex Cao I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's just water (: I've seen a lot of people (including myself) use water instead of oil to sauté veggies
Alex Cao it's awesome! And you cut down on all the oil you would normally use. Also works better with a nonstick pan. Last tip is to add it before the pan gets too hot. Just like oil you don't want it splattering all over and evaporating too quickly. And you can easily add more if you need to. It basically sautés and steams at the same time
i love indian food dearly but it's hard to find it made in restaurants without ghee :/ i've been wanting to make my own at home, so i'll definitely be trying out your recipe. i LOVE spinach based dishes like the one you've made. the only reason i've not made indian food before is every recipe seems to call for fenugreek and i don't have that nor know where to purchase it lol, i'll have to go out and try to find some so i can try this out!
Hey Emily! Just wanted to share some info...Ghee is actually really good for burning excessive fat (If you take about 1/2 spoon each meal). But, eating only ghee without some sort of workout is pointless. Hopefully this peice of information is helpful! Cheers x
Hey Caitlin! I was just wondering about your opinion on soy? I know a lot of vegans try to refrain from having it in their diet as some see it as an unhealthy thing given the science that says it has endocrine disrupters. I know you eat tofu and stuff, but just wanted to hear your take on it :) LOVE your videos btw !!
Hey guys ! I'm am pretty new with cooking and everything so ahah this might be imbarasing😅 When they say almond meal or almond flower in a recipe, do i buy it at the grocery store pr what? Like i don't know how to procure myself some 🙈
Karlou 0109 Hey! You can buy it at the grocery store. However, it may not be available and can be expensive. Here's a link so you can make your own (which is cheaper as well): simplywholefoods.com/2013/09/19/4-simple-steps-to-making-your-own-almond-flour/ Ps. Please don't feel embarrassed to ask questions! It all just takes a while to develop your skills.
Karlou 0109 Sworkit has a bunch of apps for all kinds of exercises, plus it's free. PumpUp I heard is helpful as well, but I think you have to pay for some stuff. Both of these are on the Apple App Store. •I usually have to make sure my food is good to go because I have school. So some quick options are smoothies of course, overnight oats are amazing with some chilled fruits and chopped dates as a sweetener, some (preferably whole wheat or something of that nature) toast with almond butter and sliced bananas. •I just eat fruit and nuts and maybe some bars as snacks throughout the day. I highly recommend plain rice cakes with any nut butter (with no added ingredients); it is simple, has two ingredients and is very satisfying. •Usually for lunch I have the toast sandwich mentioned above. If you're taking food with you, anything that can withstand heat/is easily portable, and or doesn't necessarily need refrigeration. When I get home I make sure to have some water. •For dinner find something simple that you like and change up the ingredients, or have something that can be made very dynamic. I love tostadas (oil-free refried beans, baked oil-free tostada shells, salsa, veggies, etc.) and they can be changed very easily too. •It's always good to have a few favourite sauces for cooking such things as veggies and tofu. *Another thing I take for lunch is barbecue sauce tofu with brown rice and cauliflower and broccoli. That way you can easily cook up/sauté, bake it in the sauce and easily assemble a meal. **Another tip is to have things that you'll be eating multiple times a week, like brown rice for instance, cooked in bulk and ready to go in your fridge. ~Now, I usually (or at least I am trying) to stay away from added fats not already present in my food because, personally my stomach can't handle a lot of added fat. I also don't use very much added salt because I drink a lot of water and it doesn't make me feel good to be dehydrated. Once again, this is personal and feel free to see what works best for your body. Some can handle certain things better than others. Plus, when not eating certain things on a regular basis your tastebuds adapt (another reason I don't have much salt). Tips: -Stay hydrated, recommend minimum of 8 cups of water a day -Have healthy and filling snacks available, even one in your bag/backpack -Focus on being healthy: getting enough calories, getting your nutrients, nurturing your body. -If you mess up, simply start again and try not to dwell on it (I am still in this process as well) -One thing that I find makes it easier and more exciting to eat healthily is, *make your food pretty* it makes eating healthier feel like less of an obligation As for exercise, being honest, I had stopped and am getting back into exercising. Insanity Max 30 is pretty good and sometimes you can find a couple workouts on UA-cam for free. If you don't like structured "workouts" try dancing. It doesn't even have to be zumba. You can watch choreography videos and tutorials and learn from there. It's much more enjoyable in my experience, tough I actually like exercising. This way you can have fun getting fit and also acquire a new skill! Improvement only comes with effort and time. Cool Websites: ~applesandamandas (UA-cam) ~Tess Begg, especially for minimally processed foods (UA-cam)**She also has exercise, workout, and even "Let's Get Fit" videos** I highly recommend her. ~CheapLazyVegan (have been watching her for a while as well) also has a "Get Fit With Me" series. +Just watch a ton of What I Eat in a Day videos, which sometimes include recipes. This is how I learned how to cook. These are just some general recommendations. I hope this was able to help even a little bit!

so many of my faves in one video wow!!! looked delicious, sending light and love to u all from chilly toronto xo
is there any health benefits to almond butter compared to peanut butter?
mbbeauty24 Brittany and Mason just look it up and compare the nutritional info haha. I think it has more protein and nutrients. And btw peanuts aren't even a real nut haha. I just prefer the taste of almond butter
I've heard that peanuts are bad for inflammation, so if that's a concern for you then almond butter is a good alternative!
mbbeauty24 Brittany and Mason peanuts have more lysine, an essential amino acid that is mainly found in beans, than almonds. Almonds are more hipster. There's your pros and cons.
The presentation of all your meals are on point!!! 👍❤

Ahhh very cool. I've never tried saute-ing with water I looked up some videos though I'll have to give it a try! Any tips?
