I feel you. They stopped checking my age in the liquor store, and I am not even 60 yet (even if it's close).
But it can work at other places - in the stone ages I was a bus driver, old retired people had a discount. So when an old lady wanted to pay, I grabbed the full price tickets and she blushed and said "no, the discounted, I am old". Worked a charm.

be grateful, i got carded up until i was 32. every girl my age rejected me, one even asked if i was 12. her exact words 'get out of here, what are you, 12?" maybe asking wasnt the right term. the only girls who flirted with me were young enuf to get me arrested. tempting but not worth jail time.

When I was 18 (and it was legal), I was never carded. When I was 26, I got carded three times in one month. Go figure.
And a group of us went out to eat one day, including my friend and her little brother (who was 6'4" to her 5'3"). She got carded, brother didn't. They were both in their late 20s. AND, she hadn't brought her wallet so, "NO ID, NO SERVICE!" 😂😂😂
