If you're buying multiple items from the same seller; rather than offering them a price - ask them what they would do if you took multiple items. Several advantages of this approach.. The seller doesn't know which of the items are you most interested in, so you instantly get the advantage. Its much less 'aggressive' than 'Would you take' so pushes the seller from a position of 'I need to defend my prices' into 'how can I tempt this person to buy more'. They may come back with a lower combined price than you were thinking; if not, you can still make a lower offer which the seller will be more psychologically prepared for. If they say no, you can play the: "Ok, I'll just take this one.." trick which may prompt some sellers remorse into backing down and finally, if there's no negotiation and you just take one item; it gives you the option to come back later in the day with 'I bought x from you earlier - would you take y for this item..'

I think your technique/ approach is fine as it's so quick. You waste no time bartering if something is underpriced, walk away if it's very over priced and ask for reasonable deals i.e the £10 & £15 pairs for £20. The time you save by not scrimping over a couple of quid allows you to get more items which likely nets you more than you'd save by discounts.
Ok, So I have being a delboy for many years. As soon as they tell you the price you make it clear that they're asking far too much. The customer then gets a sense of love so to speak, They start to think that they're special because you said YOU they think that that special price and deal only applies to them. Also whenever anyone comes near your stall spark a conversation, I do it all the time 9times out of 10 i hit a sale, Even if its only £2 its still a sale and 10 of them per hour soon adds up to a good amount at the end of the day.

@@Lomie32 Even when they reply "that IS my best price" I still throw a number at them. 😅 And sometimes it works.
@@machinist_matt it takes a confident seller to say that too 👍🏻
Hello. I admire you. How much can you earn monthly on such a sale?
Wheres the subtitles please x
How do you send batteries (for the camera) as I cant send them via Royal Mail?
Lie or use Hermes
@@BarryManatee A lot of UK mail (inc Hermes) is now moved via air freight around the UK If they scan your item and it is found to contain batteries it can be destroyed with no compensation to you
Was that fella in knee high boots and a mini skirt lol
why do people have to be so snotty when telling you how much
Don't be afraid to walk away, people are usually afraid of losing a sale, if it's too high a price for you then it's probably too high for a lot of people and it may very well still be there on your second go round when they'll be more inclined to drop the price.
Maybe you should start leaving big tips.
Why do they all sound miserable
How do we get to the market from Peckham
To be it’s the seller attitude that is all wrong, if they want £15 why don’t they start at £20 gives round to negotiate. Why do they always feel need to give you the life story ie I paid £75 brand new, hardly worn etc. On eBay I always have best offers if I want £20 not going to list for £20 list for £25 gives you round to negotiate you get price you wanted and buyer thinks they have got a deal everyone is a winner. I started reselling January 2021, I’ve walked away from some deal on marketplace/ Shpock because of seller attitude if I was at a car boot and wasn’t given that attitude you was I wouldn’t buy and they would get told. A car boot is meant to be fun have a little haggle etc
You missed out on some petrol tools
The trolley telegraphs your intentions! It screams I intend on buying something today.
