I just got mine. Beautiful plugin. TY Plugin Alliance. This channel strip takes back the days of my TAC Scorpion (Amek components) console. With the 9099, we have been blessed.
I can confirm that every day I bless the benefit of this great sounding plugin that, as mentioned from other user, I have alongside other great plugs as FabFilter, Waves, SSL and so on. The way I can finish a mix with 90% of the Amek 9099 instances and finally have a great work I can only say: Thanks Brainworks Team. Maybe, in the dreams, we can aspect an hardware controller for the future? Thanks guys
Finally getting a handle on this plugin. I'm not very proficient with channel strips, but I'm figuring this one out. It sounds incredible. Makes my recordings detailed and harmonically rich
Just doing a drum mix for my hardcore band with this and is really great! Glad you explained the ambience button here! So, it is kind of a listening function :) Awesome! Thank you PA!
My dream project would be to hard rock Drake. I have and love a great many of your plugin's. Winning this plugin would take a load of my CPU because I use 3 or 4 plugins to attain the same result as your new AMEK 9099, Anyway keep up the excellent march forward towards the art of recording for the masses.
Been thinking of getting one of your plugins but I'm new to plugins. So do these plugins apply these changes to everything? Like the input of the mic going into the computer. Like if I go into audition the effect is already applied. If I'm streaming its already applied. Or is it that it is just a plugin for an editing program?
There are many different types of plugins. The Brainworx bx_console AMEK 9099 emulates the sound of mixing console and can be added to the channels of a digital audio workstation (DAW) to make the tracks sound like they were recorded through such an analogue desk. But there is no rulebook where in the chain you have to use a plugin. Users have been known to use our bx_console line for smoothing the audio in conference calls. You can try our entire catalogue, including the Gig Performer DAW, for 1 month to see and hear how our plugins work for you and how they compare to existing plugins or hardware. Please head over to our new MEGASTORE and start your free month of MEGA: www.pa-megastore.com/mega/
Excuse the ignorance, but how do you use a console plug in like this with the regular faders in Logic, or an insert effect or even a send effect. Assuming you drop this on slot 1 of your plug in, and then send to an Aux (or add an insert), where in the signal chain does that occur. Pre/Post fader, pre compressor etc. A little confused how you utilize something like this with your regular plug ins/groups etc.
There are no rules on how to use our channel strips or plugins in general. If you like how it sounds, you are doing it right! Your bx_consoles will feel at home just as much on individual tracks as on busses. To simulate an analogue recording environment, we recommend putting one instance of the bx_console on every track you want to send through your virtual mixing console and then dialling in different TMT channels for each track.
100% agree on the spl iron. Sounds great. I especially value the very versatile M/S processing. But I struggle to get shiny sound from the ChannelX, that I get with Neve channel strip for example. Never clicked with me. If I want that classic passive eq sound, I grab the UA Manely channel strip or spl passive eqs.
Thanks lot for this video but why the hell did the editor keep cutting to a wide shot of his hands moving when what we want to see is the plug in ? Bizarre. Consider re-editing.
Our bx_consoles were designed to be used on multiple channel, so CPU usage is generally low. Of course, this depends on your setup and settings. To see and hear how our plugins work for you and how they compare to existing plugins or hardware, you can try individual plugins for 14 days by activating a trial license from your DAW - or just test our entire catalogue and services for 1 month! Just head over to our new MEGASTORE to start your free month of MEGA: www.pa-megastore.com/mega/
You can try each of our plugins for 14 days to see and hear how they work for you and how they compare to existing plugins or hardware. Please just download and install the plugin, then add it to your DAW to start your trial.
Please use mouse pointer highlight when capturing screen activity. Especially when the UI is complex. I’m watching on a iPad and it’s nearly impossible to see the mouse pointer at times. Both Windows and Mac have mouse highlighting that can be enabled, usually in the accessibility settings.
The usual way to simulate a real desk would be to use it on every track and dialling in different TMT channels. There is no right or wrong way to use it, though. You can try each of our plugins for 14 days to see and hear how they work for you and how they compare to existing plugins or hardware. Just download and install the plugin, then add it to your DAW to start your trial.
What's up is for some reason, the sc link button only works on a stereo channel. After scouring the manual first, I emailed PA, and they replied saying this is explained on page 15 of the manual. If I need clarification on a paragraph, then it really isn't explained very well, is it. We need better manuals.

Is there a preamp built in the Amek 9099 plugin??
Very informative 💯⚔️🈵
Hey PA, wouldn't hurt to have a bit of dynamics control applied to this voice track! (Ironically, especially during the three dynamics sections!).

The most underrated plugin after the SPL Iron and Lindell channel X

How does this compare with the new Lindel 50 console plugin. Does this have a choice of compressors & EQs like the former does?
