Authorities never contact via Call. You will receive written form of notice if any information or action is required from you.
Also, the 250 dollar deposit is completely nonsense. You can do transactions as per the government limits without any issues. Just make sure you are not using the money for anything illegal or is transactions can be noticed and you will be answered to clarify your reason for such transactions.
I got worried that how am I gonna save money for my fees and more stuff if i can't deposit more then dollar 250. Please let me know how much can I keep in my bank account as an immigrant

@@rifatrahaman9390 The banks in Canada want your money don't stress. They only raise eyebrows at transactions over 10k going into your bank account. Only than they may question you.
It's nothing as such that you will be deported. Everything goes after a proper trial. SIN scam happens, just avoid and get away from such calls. Or the best trick I will suggest - reply with 2-3 decent words (bcmc) and they will reply to you back in your language too. That's how you get to know these scammers are from outside Canada or even inside but doing illegal acts.
As long as you’ve a legit source of cash, you can deposit it to your account. If for any reason you deposit too much, CRA might ask for proof but that’s simply a form.
Your information is wrong. You have been here not even 6 months and already spreading wrong info, SIN is confidential but you need to give your SIN to your employer, this is a mandatory practice for all employers and for T4’s.
Anyone pretending to be CRA, a bank, border agent or any other govt. agent just disconnect, That is a scam.

Nah I got like $1500 from India and there’s no problem until it’s under 10,000
Never deposit more than $250, is nonsense. I used to work in a bank, I have never heard of anything like this. $250 is too meager and petty for Canada to monitor. As per the bank regulation, we can flag any deposit that are $10,000 or more, just to be sure that's it's not money laundering and doesn't come from illegal activities. Flagging a deposit will only direct the bank to investigate and do due diligence, making sure that it's legally obtained. So if you money is clean, there's nothing to worry about. Once you have a bank account, you can pretty much do anything as long as you do not involve in any illegal or fraudulent activities. STOP SPREADING FALSE INFORMATION!!

@@rifatrahaman9390 as a former employee of a bank, if you deposit cash through a teller, the teller might flag your deposit esp if it's rare that you deposit such amount. If you deposit it through the machine, the machine won't pick it up bec it's under 10k. Also, you have to check your priveleges with the bank. There should be an amount being withheld for several days even if it's deposited in cash. Lastly, if your money is clean, there's nothing to worry about even its been flagged bec it will survive bank's investigation and diligence.
Bro last year in July I came here in British Columbia, I deposited $1000, after asking bank employee, she did not say no to deposit that money. I dont think I did something wrong.

Same thing happened to me when I came here few years ago so I called service canada and they said we will never ever call you if you do anything wrong or for anything we would send you mail for anything even if you get mail just go to office and confirm with them and ever since then I got so many calls like this i try to avoid but even if I pick up I know what to do
