"The WOOF" ..... I was at the game in '93 and Ang recalled how the woof came about exactly as it happened and I can fill in the rest of the story for Ang. Where I was sitting at the game about 4 rows in front and a little off to the left a young lad about 10 - 12 years old was sitting with his father, Ang had the ball on the broadcast side and kicked it to the scoreboard end and as he kicked it the lad went "WOOF". Then the next time Ang had possession and kicked the lad WOOFED again as did a couple of people further ahead of him and around in the area, then Ang's next kick quite a few more chimed in further down to the boundary line and then it was the next kick from memory that the whole ground went "WOOF" and the rest is now Carlton folklore and legend. I never knew who the lad was but I do know where he was sitting almost 30 years ago so if he is still around and watching the Jumper Punch, gets in touch and can tell us where he was sitting I can verify the "who" for Ang. Marvel Stadium, Saturday afternoon against Freo under the roof is the perfect game for the "WOOF" to make its comeback and that has to be Adam Saad. Mars said he was going to do it last week but it didn't happen but to put another feather in the cap of the Jumper Punch and to create some more Carlton Folklore it would be good for one of you guys to begin a new era of the "WOOF" with Saad's "FIRST KICK" on this coming Saturday with 40,000 crazy Carlton supporters under a closed roof and in an enclosed stadium going WOOF, the noise would be immense and hostile towards the Freo players and what it will also do is to let the boys know that we the supporters are there with them whilst remembering the lat time we won the flag we had the "WOOF". Being able to say, we the Jumper Punch, put the WOOF back into football is a great way to honour Ang's legacy and to keep the legend going that is the Carlton Football Club..
Absolutely love it and would love that young fella yo come forward...and I will definitely start the the woof this week..along with the boys Let's get this to happen WOOOOFFFFFFF
