I think for me would be time management.
The biggest adjustment I would have to think over as a woman would be would the record label want me to get any cosmetic surgery. Then I’ll have to consider the people in my life and who to get rid of, consider the privacy of my child and then how much will I be working. Lastly how much control and input will I have over my content because right now I can do whatever whenever but being hands on deck for my work is something that I don’t think I can give up.

I think the biggest thing to debate is how to use your now successful status! Use your riches to build an empire. Invest in what you do both with time and money to an even more ambitious level than previously achieved. People get complacent after achieving certain goals, so I think raising the bar for yourself would be the best approach!

I have heard that the statistics say "You are 4 times more likely to be struck by lightning than become famous" that's about the same as winning the jackpot. It will happen to a few people from maybe each town but it could be YOU !!! I am happy with the journey myself and I am happy with my life the way it is. Success is freedom, happiness and good health that is what I see as being rich. Too many people are chasing numbers and fame

People are blind! A talent show won't bring you long-term success...it's the daily hard work you put in and that is also what makes you a better artist! Build up your fanbase. To have a strong fanbase is key!!! The longer it takes, the stronger you get. To know what kind of artist you wanna be takes time! It's freaking hard but it's also very beautiful! This resonates so much. My Husband’s cousin made top 5 on American idol last season. My husband is a very talented guitar player and when Zach called he jumped. His cousin is young and without getting into the nasty details all I will say is fame changes people. I watched my husband have his dream be dangled in front of him and it was all a lie. We are still trying to grasp and get over it. The anger, bitterness, heartbreak. Thank you for posting this.
I'm glad I never had a song blow up. I've only been doing music 2 1/2 years and every song has been a learning point. I learn from everything and always stay true to me.
This one hit different many times we get lost in other people's success and lose sight of what we were planning on doing. can't build castles in the sky when you have not build 1 on the ground.

Bro I actually cannot believe the timing of this video. Today for the past 10 hours I have been feeling so overwhelmed with the amount of work I have to do, to the point where I almost didn't do anything. Today made me realize I cannot do this work alone and I need people to help me with whether its family or friends of mine. 100% truth!! I haven’t experienced hardly any of the grand trophy moments, but there’s been several artists that see me pull in with my big shiny Prevost tour bus and they want the life I have, however they don’t seem to prepare themselves for what it means to live this life and the extra responsibility that comes with it.
I can only imagine what it’d be like to play at a multi million level, and it does make me wonder how well my mindset is prepped for that kind of success.

Great Video, I also have learned that as you age, your ideal authentic self is constantly evolving which adds another aspect along with the producers, labels and so on. In my 20's (I'm 44 now) all I wanted to do was be an audio engineer and hopefully one day producer. I want to college for it graduated and began working at a studio to find my first lesson in lifes little ironies that once my engineering career got going. I no longer had the want, desire, time or energy to make music for myself. Many nights I had no interest in even listening to music. A few nights of coming home after an 8 hour session and literally sitting in silence. This was heartbreaking to me as my love for making music was the reason this journey began in the first place. My engineering career ended 2yrs after it began. This is when I faced the fact that I had to make a choice. To make a living in the music business or continue my passion for making music simply for the love of making it. I was not going to be able to have both (which was my "making it" dream) Not to be rich not to be famous, just be able to survive making music full time. I've been producing and releasing my own music for 10 years now, and it is one of many income streams I have, it doesn't even come close to paying all my bills. However in my mid 30's I finally began to understand that money isn't everything. If its easy come it's usually easier gone. The connection with fans that enjoy my music along with my never ending passion to make that music is worth so much more to me than the size of my royalty checks. Careers in the music and entertainment industry are fickle, and no two are alike. If you are extremely talented and lucky money may pour in for a time. But it isn't easy to stay greasy, and very few in the artists can turn every EP platinum. The percentage is smaller than high school ball players ,becoming pro (which is a small % as well) Just stay passionate, stay persistent, and do what you love. At the end of the day weather you make it ($$$) or not is irrelevant. Focus on the music and the money will come. Maybe not Lambos, but you will survive just fine, and be a more successful and happy person for it.

If everything i wanted to happen happened tomorrow, my biggest adjustment would probably be getting used to having a team. Aside from working with videographers/photographers for shoots and occasionally an engineer, i've mostly had to do things on my own because no one in my local scene knows what to do with me in terms of a career path. So that'd probably be the biggest change. I don’t expect widespread fame to happen because at this point, the black LGBTQ artists who are famous are the exception, not the rule
I just had my first real proper gig last weekend and i was suprised how overwhelmed i actually was. I handled some things very badly (constantly joking between songs about how unprepared i was and just not confident with low stage presence) this made me think again how well i should prepare myself if some big success is coming. Im not a shy guys and i dont have problems talking to hundreds of people (i worked on a theater stage) but doing a one man show without any knowledge of how to pull it off, thats hard

It would seem that record labels would provide the resources they already use to bud and bloom the blossoming artist/producer. It's a business like any other so the business aspect is the main idea. They have all the right business people to address all concerning things to help a profitable artist/producer seamlessly make the right decisions.

One thing i use to keep up wrinting more lyrics is to imagine if i had the chance to be in the studio with my favorite artist. Ask myself : would i be able to keep up and deliver a song? would i be able to pick any beat and deliver a quality verse on the spot in at least 1 hour? until it happens i need to get better to not waste any shot.
You must have a healthy distance from the dynamic of your own character and the dynamic of other peoples character. At all times. That’s the soil for success.
I always joked to myself that I'd like to release an album in my life time. There are plenty of people on sound cloud just doing there thing. Talented or not! I NEVER been musically inclined- a poet maybe but melodies, no clue. Decided that, well, I can learn, I can try! I don't think I want fame, I don't mind being a small local underground artist- even if I only have 50 true fans that look forward to what I create, that would make me happy! So I'm currently learning at home production to make this silly lil dream happen.

One morning I sat at my computer to edit one song before I was off to work. My wife turned to me and said “don’t you just wish that WAS your job” and that struck something and now I can’t sleep
Professional race car driver releasing reputable music as an independent artist. I like the idea or releasing music myself and not relying on a label but I'm open to it if it makes sense. As far as lack... I don't feel that I'm lacking anything. Just have people projecting their reality and feelings onto me...people seem to do that a lot.

Someone like Shawn mendes goes big at 16 but I'm 25 and I just started that's when you will doubt yourself is it too late?how much time do I have ?can I still go big at 35
