    Noel can I make an honest observation? I feel like in your explanation of what you purchase, you sometimes feel the need to justify your purchases. Never feel like you have to do that!
    You have a full household, you have challenges of nights with no sleep, you home school Luke, you do what you have to do to run that house girl.
    I have a disability and am chair bound to cook, do dishes etc. I cook from scratch all the time, but if I have to buy a tin of biscuits as opposed to homemade on a bad pain day, at least I am still making the effort.
    Thank You for sharing your grocery hauls with us! 💕

    Did you know, if you put coconut milk from cans in the fridge, you can then get the solid out that's above and mix it into a whipped topping that is coconut plant-based? Just a way to use fresh whipped topping. You can add sugar if you need it sweet. or honey.

    You should consider buying the container of the Ranch Dressing Powder instead of the small individual packets. It can be added to so many things!! Mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, popcorn, casseroles, etc. It really is a better value. They sell it at WM, Sam's & Costco. Just a thought!!

      It breaks down to:
      4 oz for $5.98 in pkts,

      16oz container for $8.58 (Sams)

    Noel, if your family is really into yogurt have you considered making it yourself in the instant pot? It’s really easy and makes a lot. I added a gallon of 2% milk (you can use whatever type you want) and two cans of sweetened condensed milk (you don’t have to use it, I did because I was afraid it wouldn’t have any sweet factor to it but it’s not overly sweet). Turn on the sauté button and let the milk get to 180 degree. Make sure to stir it every few minutes so it doesn’t burn. Take the pot out of instant pot, set on counter and let it cool down to 110 degrees. When it gets to 110 degrees add in one small container of yogurt that has live and active cultures, or 3 to 4 tablespoons per 1/2 gallon of milk. Put pot back into instant pot. Place on lid and wrap in a towel. Let set for up to 8 hours. I let my last batch set for 6 hrs and 45 min. I don’t like mine with the “sour” taste. Place in the fridge for at least 4 hours with a towel under the lid. You can flavor it if you wish but it is good without flavors. I use pudding to flavor mine with. Lemon, vanilla, banana, chocolate. Kids love it. You could even buy refillable popsicle tubes to use for Theo.

    You plan your meals and shopping out so well, I have a question for you, how do you keep the kiddo's out of the food that is intended for specific meals. I can't tell you how many times I've planned a meal and gone to get my items from the fridge and cupboard and found some of the items missing. I am always amazed at how much it takes to feel a large family, but you seem to have it all down to a science. Thanks for taking the time to share this with us.

    I love the Rhodes bread. I have a good recipe that calls for Rhodes bread. Same as your pizza bread. I roll it out let it sit, then roll again. Fry up a lb of sausage , finely. I usually use Italian and I switch up spices. Drain and let it cool. Add an egg and cup of Parmesan cheese to the sausage. Spread it all over the dough. Bake it til golden brown. It’s great hot and cold. Breakfast or snacks.

    Great Value has their own brand of ranch seasoning mix, just FYI. Here it’s only 45 cents a packet, compared to $1.75 for Hidden Valley. When I use it in crock pot recipes, like Mississippi roast, it works just as well and for a literal fraction of the cost. :)

    • @sheilalaurence9209
      @sheilalaurence9209 4 роки тому

      AbbyDee1015 not all Walmart’s have it. I just shopped today and looked for it at my Walmart and they don’t carry it. I know I’ve gotten it before but my local Walmart seems to have stopped carrying that along with several other things I’ve noticed. :(. I happened to get the same 4 pack, so it was $5, or $1.25/each. They also did not have off brand Au Jus mix either.

    Why do you have sleepless nights? You have no babies in the house! Wow you guys eat a lot of desserts! Why don’t you shop at Costco? You get bigger portions from Costco

      We have a Sam's membership but didn't want to go this month. We are a autism family. Our youngest has many sleepless nights because of his autism. It is very common for autistic children to have a hard time with sleep

      Wow that’s amazingly rude! That is actually the best of the best we have here too. I don’t doubt we have lots of processed food choices. But she isn’t buying them. Go watch some other hauls and how about making a video of your food hauls and how you cook them for your family and videos showing that your family is healthy and enjoys their meals? Then we will know if you’re really qualified to be telling us Americans how to eat! I love watching different cultures food habits. So if you can make those and link them here I’ll watch.
