Nice video. Glad you found the issue. I was chasing a similar issue and it was a bad ground to that same ground point on the mag cover. Cleaned it off and problem went away.
Hey mate Ive also got a 2000 xp 951 cc. The ski had been sitting for four years so I purchased a new battery. Still no go so I then removed the starter motor it was fine then I thought starter solitude wasn't that either. turns out that the battery that I purchased was faulty,Now the ski starts but when it does it revs its balls off and if the remove the key it still won't stop unless I pull the choke on to flood the system. can you help with any advise with the issues that im having ? Please
Good stiff john .. you always pull through by being very thorough an its now tome to enjoy it !! Love to see some videos of that for sure 👍 it reminds me of the skidoo look with front end an colours .. 👍👍😁cheers bud
An FYI on the seat cover is that the original cover is glued to the foam so before you cut it off some suggest to go right over the old one if it is not all cracked up.
Good tip! I could only thing is the old cover is so Sun baked that it’s hard and kind of want to have a soft seat again instead of a hard ass seat lol. If that’s the case I might try to use a knife and remove the old cover than what the new one is on foam and can flex properly and not feel like I’m riding on a brick chair
@@boostedmotorsports2 i did that on one of mine with a heat gun and razor blades and after i was finished the seat seems too soft that when you ride and sit you push right down to the plastic seat base. I used a BlackTip cover
Hi i would like to ask cause i got small problem with my 951 haha. It happen to sucked a small piece of my latex gloves inside the air intake when i try to crank it. But it didnt really start yet
Boa tarde amigo comprei um mais to com dificuldade pra subir quando caio da manobra , vc fez algum tipo de escada ? Ou sempre conseguiu subir tranquilo ?
So I have a 98 a Bombardirer GTX Limited , very similar engin layout . Well, my issue is that it will take a while to start .when it does, it wo t go over 10 mph rpms do get up there . Any suggestions?
On the top of the carburetors there is a small knob, screw in to increase, screw out to deacrease idle speed. Should be ~3000 on the trailer, ~1500 in the water.
I can tell you exactly why it's unhappy, no matter how much money or time you put into it if you look on the side where it says SEADOO that's the problem lol, good videos though !

Your attention to details is awesome. If it uses gas you can fix it. Sweet that you fixed it... go have some fun!
Thanks 👍

Can you show me where the return fuel line goes to and from carbs and to?
Where can you get the service manual info that you showed in this video
Is there a way to adjust the timing
Only through the MPEM computer on this particular one
Where did you get those intake filters
Where is the ground cable at? I have 2 red wires and no black one for my battery
I have a question where is it located the rectifier?
440 O'Connell Bridge
Green lines must be replaced asap. On carbs too
Yes all lines were replaced I might not have shown that on the video but I replaced them all
Good afternoon. Where is the dip stick on the 2001 seadoo GTX
right next to the transmission. It has a yellow end so you can easily see it.
Please show how to adjust the idle while on the trailer.
