Wow, I kne wthis song was performed live on Dr. Demento, but that it was put together in such ad hoc fashion and turned out as good as it did is amazing!

I love the history of al.
The original recording was done in the bathroom at UCLA. As a result, there was lots of echo. The version that was on his first album was the one recorded live at 94.7 KMET, on the Dr. Demento Show.
+Jaymz Cross - The bathroom recording was done at Cal Poly. Al has a degree in architecture from there. He never went to UCLA.

@ludovica36: glad you wondered if this was from "Behind the Music." We made this as a style-parody of "Behind the Music" and when we interviewed Al, we had him wear the same shirt he wore on "Behind the Music" and sit in the same place in his house where that was shot.
