Death Valley National Park - 16 Things to Do!

- Death Valley National Park is the hottest place on Earth, the driest and lowest place in North America and the largest of the parks in the lower 48 states. It's bigger than Rhode Island and Delaware! Come with us and check out the salt flats, volcano craters, mountains, canyons, sand dunes, badlands, Star Wars shooting locations, valleys and endangered wildlife in this land of extremes that straddles California and Nevada. Be brave and explore during the summer, or check it out in the winter when the temperatures are more favorable. Death Valley is a dark sky park and is well worth a visit. For those wondering, Scottys Castle was closed for repairs, Dantes View was closed due to flooding and we did not have the proper all-clearance to reach the Racetrack Playa.
Death Valley. Malibu. Santa Monica. Channel Islands National Park. We closed out the year with an epic road trip to California in style, checking out some of the best SoCal has to offer - beautiful coastlines and beaches, gorgeous mountains with hiking and mountain biking trails, tiny islands off in the Pacific Ocean, and also the hottest, driest and lowest place in the United States - and hottest in the world. Not only did we sneak in time for some fun on rollercoasters and other amusement park attractions at Santa Monica Pier. Come with us over the next few months as we show you all the awesome places we visited. We hope you enjoy our trailer and stick around for our future videos. Please subscribe and feel free to check out our previous epic road trips as well.

haha you know me well, I will 100% be seeing the "big bovine of the desert" next time I am there! Thanks for the tip 😂
I can't wait to see it when you do. We knew it was right up your alley!
Awesome view beautiful park
Being there you must feel that you are on another planet, what a beautiful landscape and so different from what I am used to 👍
It's different than we are used to! It has a very alien feel to it. Couldn't believe what we were seeing at times.
hello my friend very good sharing New friend here 😊
thank you!
Those views were amazing! I couldn’t imagine do that in the heat though. Definitely see why they filmed A New Hope here!
Yeah it was nice when we did it. Summer seems suicidal to try !
The good thing about DVNP is not crowded like Yosemite or Grand Canyon and there is a life here. My favorite is seeing sunrise from Zabriskie point. It’s phenomenal. The bad water basin looks like it’s from another planet. I drove the artists drive twice..) It seems you covered all the places..! Nice video.
We were surprised at the whole park honestly. We thought it wasn’t to be that great, but it was fascinating. This might be our favorite video to date, so thank you.
Badwater Basin being the lowest point in North America makes it a must visit. Everyone should follow this to do list while visiting Death Valley.
Thanks man! I think this might be our favorite video we have ever made. Too bad it's doing poorly. Hope all is well!
@@MagellanandGreyhound Figuring out the algorithm is not easy and trying to find out what people want to watch at each given time, but yah you guys did a great job on this one, lots of great info! Hope it does better eventually!
It’s true! We’ve had a few take off so we can’t complain, but it’s definitely a puzzle figuring it out
@@MagellanandGreyhound It truly is! I've seen channels with way more subs than I have, and see them get less views, but than they would have like 2 or 3 videos that got millions of views.
@@TravelersParadise I've seen that too and I think we're a smaller version of them haha. We've had one video that is almost half our views. Hoping for more of our parks videos to take off. There's a few of our more recent videos that I think are done really well and make our earlier videos look so bad haha
So much to see there. It is crazy that I still have not been there yet. It is on my list though.
I don't know of any place in the country like it at this point. And we've seen some weird stuff. Definitely check it out!
OMG, the Iwalk! That is dedication. You guys saw so much!! Love all the history, too. There is so much to see in that area. We hit Darwin Falls with actual water flowing and Goldwell's open air Museum. It's so hard to see everything in just a few days. Great edit, too!
Thank you! This video was a labor of love. I wish we could go again. So much we missed, crazily enough.
Lol. We were literally in Death Valley the exact same day you were.
Haha what was the tip-off? Are you in our video? 😉
@@MagellanandGreyhound you showed the white board at the Furnace Creek visitor center. We stayed over from 12/18 to 12/19.
@@Joehohleriii ahaha great catch! I forgot about that. Well we both had great weather and hope you had a great time. We loved the park.
Thank you for sharing your videos. How many days do you recommend to do the 16 ?
You’re very welcome! Everyone’s pace is different but 3-4 days is probably plenty of time.
Did you see all these places in one day?
No, I think 3 days.
