@@donegalrediscovered3309 amazing - thanks for joining the channel! Yeah agreed, a well tuned sub 250g drone with an O3 air unit will absolutely rip this one to shreds as far as FPV goes but if you view the Neo‘s fpv features as a bonus rather than primary purpose- it’s actually pretty cool. Will also be great for flying around woodlands and hitting small gaps
Very great review sir, love it from Indonesia
@@DuniaStatistika thanks a lot!
I love this little drone, definitely not a FPV drone. But great for getting in to small spaces to do some birds eye view footage. The night time footage is not great at all, but can be expected with that small sensor. Overall, for me the fly more kit was worth the money...😉 I did a demo video of a new vessel we building and used the Mini 3 Pro and the NEO for the internal footage and worked great IMO. Thanks for the video mate...was great fun watching.
@@Arrie751102 oh it’s certainly an FPV drone- just not suitable for acro/freestyle (or at least not easily). Cruising and cinematic FPV is awesome with it. Thanks for the great comment.
Авата-2 не глохнет на большом ветре? Она лучше?
Would it make for a better experience by changing the rates and expo in the Goggles? 🤔 Or does it need more than that?
Cool vid though 👍
@@nickpmtb5629 Thanks!, optimising rates will certainly always help a bit but for things like the way it snaps out of a dive, no matter the rates will change this. More aggressive pid tune or motor tune/settings could make a difference (to an extent) but this is currently not an option with DJI drones.
Thanks for pushing the little guy to the limits... AND BEYOND! (sorry) What do you think about the opposite end of the spectrum. I bought Avata 2 after flying and growing bored even with a large stable of camera drones, I want to learn FPV and see if it's for me. I already have Goggles 3/Motion Controller 3/FPV Controller 3 -all O4 and getting up to speed (meaning crashing) this little guy instead of beating up the Avata 2. Hell, I can buy TWO of these and have a spare if the other is getting repaired - Care Refresh is a whopping $22 USD a year!
@@BlairAir thanks for commenting. So the thing is - even though my impressions of the Neo’s freestyle abilities are a bit negative… as an FPV cruiser it’s actually tons of fun. Probably more so than then Avata1 and 2 because it’s small, nimble, can hit (almost) every gap. That’s why I ended up crashing it- it was making me crazy confident to hit gaps. I also reckon it’s a lot more durable than the avata 2. The impact I had was into a metal sheet think inside the groin that I tried flying though. The only damage was a scratch on the duct. Also care refresh express replacements will only cost £16 for the first unit. It’s a no brainer really 😎
@@dronewilder5234 One thing's for sure - I will NOT be flying it the way you did here! I keep hearing that same phrase about throwing it i manual - FUN. I am down with THAT. I believe you about ability to take a hit. DC Rainmaker torture tests drones for sports tracking (mostly on his road bikes) and @135 Grams this thing doesn't have enough mass (or speed/power to crash destructively. He mst have crashed it a few dozen times. I don't love Avata 2 not being modular for home repair, but they improved it substantially in other ways. Neo should be all right if I don't run it over with a Range Rover or ask it to swim 🙄- I really thought you made it for a second there, Care refresh here is $22 USD a year. I looked. I spend that for lunch, lol! Thanks, Subbed.
@@BlairAir absolutely - care refresh is a steal on this drone. Incidentally they have a known glitch in their system with Neo care refresh replacements but are looking to resolve it in the next 24hrs. It can definitely take a hit. Cool !!!
Myself I would buy it if it had at least 4k60fps and tad better camera for simple quick selfies and follow me mode in unobstructed areas, maybe buy it for a kid but flying that under that tight place probably the prop air bouncing off the ground was too much for it. Mind you the Avata 2 is not very good in manual mode either especially if it is windy other than that I think your better off with avata 2 for general exploring and that neo would wake the dead for it's size like grab the fly swatter. But for the price well worth it. But the noise is a big puttoff.
@@LandOverview for camera quality the avata2 is definitely in a different league but it’s worth bearing in mind that in Manx regions the sub 250g C0 class means you can fly almost anywhere which is a big deal. Granted there are better sub 250g drones which use the superior air 3 air unit. The noise isn’t as bad as it seems in real life though
I use the Mavic Mini 1 (with modified software for extended range), and I have racing drones for acro... but I want something for close-up filming while diving and being able to maneuver in ways the Mini can't because it lacks a manual mode... I want to push the limits in distance in manual mode at a distance and still have the security of GPS to return (my acro drones dont have gps). I don't want to be doing flips or aggressive acro, just proximity flying in a calm mode... Is it worth it?
@@7427665 I’d say so yes - have a look at my dji ultimate range test video - this shows what distance (and beyond) is possible. Only things I’d be wary of is AI behaviour over water if using and also power sagging on extended flights at constant high speed.
Hi 👌

@@nunoaraujo3688 with the RC2 you can fly over water but you need to check that your GPS link is strong and stable.
