Good morning Vaughan, from the wonderful cool climate in Florida at 41F degrees. I do a little combining of glazes and love it when I get a surprise combination. Some glazes that were a disappointment on their own have worked well in combining with others. I raw glaze using commercial brush on glazes which I will pour into the pots and brush on the outside. I single fire them and this has worked well for me so far. Thanks for sharing!
I peaked tonight and it made the glazes form crystals and also run. I expected some running which is why I glazed the SCM on the upper half only. I suspect many will need grinding but they are only glaze tests. They look very interesting, almost rock like in the satin and matt surfaces. We have been near 60F this week.
You are right about the addiction! Oh Lord, guilty me too! This is why we are often found wearing our favorite jeans and shirts way past their patches. I would rather spend money on glazes! Sharing is so helpful though! Looking forward to seeing all your experimental results after firing. Thanks!
I peaked tonight at 270F and they look great but lots of runs, as expected but more than anticipated. Major crystalline formation. I will post tomorrow.
Hi Vaughn, I’ve been using CM warm and cool for a number of years and had some great results. I did a weekend course with Steve Hill and his Results switched me over using his methods. I single fire mostly and spray all my glazes...I often have up to six or seven glazes on a single piece Also have good results using fake ash on my pieces. All work done in an electric kiln fired to cone 6 Ed Vander Baaren Brockville ontario
Good morning from Hubbard's Vaughan, love the videos I am just starting to experiment with this glaze myself and wonder are you using the slow cool program for firing?
@@Vsmithpots I was experimenting with some of Steven Hills Glazes and got frustrated with the need to spray them on and am very happy to see the results that you are getting with dipping them. I am happy to put away the sprayer and do some tests with dipping. I use a very slow cool so each firing takes 16 to 18 hours.
@@brendao3519 That is my time too, hard on the kiln relays. The test tonight will be interesting, my new test kiln lets me do a test firing every day. I will post results every six days.

@@Vsmithpots I'll be watching! With your Advancer shelves you can save the runners!

I peaked tonight and they look good but ran a lot, even though I kept the SCM in the upper half only. I will video tomorrow. Thanks for the comments.
Vaughn, these videos are great, thanks again. I cannot wait to see how they turn out.

Yes I have been, I gave out the ramp segments in one of the videos. I am testing one tonight in a medium cone fire mode, regular cooling.
