I finally did it, I got into the Titche's Building today! I used the tunnel entrance this time. The security guard was nicer. The other guard in the summer was kind of a jerk. I filmed only one of the elevators because it was the only one I could find without having to approach the security desk. The old elevator was replaced. There is a Dover Impulse by the desk, but I couldn't find where it goes on the upper floors. The escalators are 1950s Otis escalators. I only filmed going down because going up, the guard would have seen me and I already went up, I didn't want to circle around again and then be asked if I needed help. I will return next time when UNT is in session. That way, I mix in with the students. I'll film going up and then I'll edit and upload the videos. I filmed in Downtown Dallas in general today. Dude, it is so much more laid back than Downtown Houston. Not once did I see any security guards trying to approach me nor did anyone confront me. I think you will enjoy Dallas when you come in January.
Yeah Hanny, I was going to tell you that my visit to Dallas is officially confirmed! I had just already submitted my registration and scholarship form last week ago. Like I said, I do have to be back in the hotel in between 6-7 PM for the night activity I'm having with my friends. Did you check the following if any of the elevators were still original such as the parking garage right next door to Bank Of America Plaza? They are Otis Elevonic 401 elevators and I want to see if they are still original or not. If we do meet, can we go to the suburban areas that have old elevators? 'Cause I want to see those. And maybe Plano too.
@@JimLiElevators I have not checked those yet. I was a little far from that part of downtown. And yes, we can go to the suburban areas that have old elevators. We would have to drive because we would need a car in those areas. I'm planning to take DART to meet you, then we can take DART to my car and then go into the suburbs. Have you gone around DFW before? It's nice and big.
Are you referring to DFW Airport? No, I haven't been there at all. I mainly was within Downtown Dallas and going to SMU and that was about it. Yes, we can ride together. Do you remember we did the same thing in College Station a while back and also had James (Bryan / College Station Elevators and more) tagged along as well? That is the exact same thing we are doing. I don't think you also are well aware of this either or have you seen this at all, but didn't you know I've also gotten into trains as well since the last time? Just only certain kind of them the same way I am with old elevators which I'll tell you more in person. I'm not sure of my availability between January 1st and 2nd, but definitely for sure on both the 3rd and 4th. 5th I leave to go back home, so I only have this much time and this may be the last time I'll ever visit Dallas since I'll be graduating from college in May and my parents are likely gonna move to North Carolina to draw closer with my older brother (but still keep our house for the time being). For right now, can you check the following if any of the elevators are still original from my last videos I took long time ago? They include but aren't limited to both Bank Of America Plaza and Elm Street parking garages with the 1980's Otis, the huge downtown Neiman Marcus, and the Fairmont (although all floors are locked on both north and south elevator banks)? I gotta get you on the old Otis black button elevators at Southern Methodist University somehow. Those are BEYOND worth filming. When we meet, one thing I must note you is that I will not be filming any modded elevators because they are a waste of time and I only have a couple days of free time. I give you more lists of places once I know for sure.
@@JimLiElevators No, I'm talking about the DFW metroplex. The locals here call the metroplex The DFW. Yes, I remember that meetup from 2018. That was 5 years ago, but it still felt like yesterday. Time sure flies by so fast. I was still living in Tucson at the time. I think I did notice that you are very much into trains now, which we have a lot of those in the DFW metroplex. We can meet on both the 3rd and the 4th if you'd like, since you said it will be your last time visiting Dallas. There are quite a few old elevators outside of downtown. I will check on Bank of America Plaza parking garage. Do you want me to check on the tower elevators or just the garage? I actually filmed at the Elm Street parking garage today. One set still has 1980s Otis Series One Elevators. The other set is modernized. The downtown Neiman Marcus is still Otis Series One and the small elevator still has GAL elevators. I will check on the Fairmont next time. I actually have not filmed at SMU before, but I have been on some of those elevators. When you come, just give me a list of elevators you want to see and I'll take you around and show them to you. There are a couple of gated elevators at UNT Denton if your interested in seeing those, but they are modernized, but still gated. I'll see if I can think of anything else vintage. There is an original US elevator at the Days Inn near DFW Airport too. Oh, and a vintage elevator in Fort Worth. We also need to see how much time we have as well, because the metroplex is very big and driving can take a while.
These are Double files, top ones are Single file. Single file is the most narrow besides Rockfeller & one of the stations in Chicago
That’s very strange how they have only 1 escalator at the top and it’s a down one.
Yep. These are Schindler. I bet the facility lost their budget on the lonely down escalator lmao
How can you tell the difference between a single file escalator to another escalator?
I think single file are much more narrow-sized whereas the other ones are wider.

@@JimLiElevators You might be moving to North Carolina?
Definitely looks schindler because I could tell the design of it.
