@@LARailProductions yeah i know. But i guess Union Pacific got tired of switching those industries in Compton so they gave the jobs to Pacific harbor line
That's because it's only used for industrial switching. Years ago southern pacific used this line alot back in the 70s up until the late 90s until the union pacific takeover. Then union pacific sold the route to pacific harbor line. Lots of changes over the years. But I love the action
6:46 I *WISH* there was a cop present
I actually live near that area and trains don’t pass by that often and when they do it’s late a night
@@itsssviper I know. I live around there too
Wow Pacific Harbor line now does the old southern pacific / Union Pacific Reyes job??
Yup! This change happened a few years ago, however I do wish it was still done by one of UP's Mead jobs.

This reminds me of the old southern pacific Lynnwood switch job out of Dolores yard late nights switching job on Alameda Vernon line
Why is the Pacific harbor line all the way in compton?I'm surprised I usually use to see UP switchers doing the job
Back then it was a UP Mead job that worked the Patata Industrial Lead to Lynwood; Pacific Harbor Line took over the job a few years back.
I remember seeing southern pacific alot doing this job at night sometimes on Alameda Vernon line. In the 70s and 80s when I was a kid
Is the Reyes/ Santa Fe track still operating in Compton? I drive by it everyday and notice the track is littered with trash.
Yes, the job works Monday thru Friday at around 5-7pm in that area.

Really awesome video, hope to see more videos, they’re awesome
Thanks!
Train horn made you jump. Ha! Thx for the video. I work in the area and see the train periodically.
Do you know much about when the PHL, UP or BNSF run there locals around the LA area?
I do. Tell me what you want to know (within a reasonable amount) and I'll drop it here.
BNSF around the old LAJ area and PHLs industrial spurs like the one in this video. Any info is much appreciated , Thank you!
@@LARailProductions what do you know about phl work environment and standards?
When does this Run?
I like train videos on UA-cam 👍
Where you go film another train in Los Angeles
Nice! Btw this isn’t the Compton switcher, the Compton switcher switches off the blue line and is run by UP.
I am aware, and the Reyes Switcher can go by both names. The UP Compton Switcher (LOG09R) also goes by the Dominguez Switcher.
Ok, thanks
I wouldn't be surprised if Pacific harbor line eventually will be switching that line as well on the Wilmington branch.
Yeah phl will probable take over many more up spurs
I live near the switch
Compton switcher 🤣 im no compton switcher 🤣
nice
@@LARailProductions but we switch all day bro !! Lots of work
