Why not associate with winners? Everybody loves who's #1, right? Well, almost everyone. I bought the Number 1 Selling Cardio Training Equipment on Amazon. Did it live up to the hype? Sunny Health and Fitness Mini Stepper With Exercise Bands. - Навчання та стиль
I have a sunny mini stepper and it works great for me! I transition between my mini stepper and walking pad. I use both at my desk… may not work for everyone but it’s been working out great for me… down 35 lbs so far!🎉
Sounds like you’ve figured out a good routine. I purchased a walking pad myself and reviewed that I Bought The #1 Selling Walking Pad Treadmill On Amazon | Sperax Walking Pad Under Desk Treadmill

Its the best thing that worked for a mom ,who doesn't wanna go out to gym or run on trails ..I do while watching tv...😊 and its helpful
If it’s working for you, keep doing it!
It's worth noting that the mini stepper counts sets of steps. So when you take one step with each foot, that's on the counter goes up to one.
Thanks for the info Jai!
Glad I found your video. I saw one on marketplace for $25 and thought about getting it. I already have one Sunny machine, which is a quality machine, but is hardly used. Seeing your video, steps are my goal and 5 mile walks were the key to my weight loss. The more you walk, the more you enjoy it (80's music playing to keep a consistent speed) and the less time it takes to get the walk in. So, the stepper looks like a great quality machine and it would probably be a good "stepping" stone for someone just starting to exercise. I too have thought about a treadmill for under my desk, and there's one on FB advertised that looks good for under $200 - but, for now, I'll stick to my early morning walk. Thanks for the good review!
Thanks for watching. Sounds like you have a good plan. I actually did buy an “under the desk” treadmill. Here’s my review. I Bought The #1 Selling Walking Pad Treadmill On Amazon | Sperax Walking Pad Under Desk Treadmill

I love love this review right on point with every subject. Most of my questions got answered thru this video.I just got mines out of the box can't wait to see the results I'm 270 now so positive vibes everyone 👏🏼🥰👌
@blonddiev8752…go get it!!!
your comment is 3 weeks old, how is it going for you?
Update?
We live in Scotland, United Kingdom. I bought one of those to walk indoor. Autumn is round the corner and it is raining most days. In a few months, there will be snow and ice. My daughter loves it too.
Sounds like it’s perfect for you guys!
Thanks for info..I like the idea of something small like this to have in by bedroom and just take out while watching Netflix or a movie instead of just lounging in bed.
T Martin...happy to help. It works pretty well!
when i say this was the only thing that has kept me consistent i swear nothing else motivated me to keep working out until i got the stepper lol and i use it everyday for 45 im still shocked at my consistency lol
I have a similar style product called the x-iser. Trying to get a lot of steps on it is the definition of boredom! If I may make a suggestion, I find a much better use of it is to do a HIIT style workout where you do short bursts of "sprinting". The key is to squat down just a bit and then peddle while keeping your head level. Great glute work!
Bill, I totally agree about the HIIT style workout. I merely bought this to see what a number 1 selling product on Amazon would be like and to see if I could use it under my stand-up desk to get my daily 10K steps in after my morning workouts.
That’s the expensive version of the stepper must be really good
I just got mine and it works well for my 68 years old body. I do other excessive in conjunction to the stepper. SUNNY has many exercises in their channel and they're pretty extensive. I also do laps at my gym so don't rely 100% on the stepper. It works well for me.
@hnoodles5165, sounds like you have a good thing going there!
I plan on using my on the front and back decks, or while watching Netfix during the winter. Can't always get out and it's just an extra way to shake your booty rather than sitting on your booty. I can't sit still. I had purchases one from Amazon but you can't adjust the pressure of the pedals and I weigh 100 lbs 😢 so thank you for pointing me in the right direction. You sold me with the adjustment thing a ma jig! Have a happy! Lydia
Sounds like a good plan Lydia!
Thank you for ur videos!! so honest & much needed. Keep it up!
Thanks Quinn. Happy New Year!
I use these for zone 2 cardio where your body pulls energy from fat stores rather than glycogen stores and they work perfect. Just turn on the tv if you get bored. Nice review!
Appreciate you sharing your experience and thanks for watching
Can you explain what u mean by the difference?
@@coldblooded568 I wish she would actually.
@@coldblooded568 In zone 2, slow twitch type 1 muscle fibers are activated, and these fibers use fat for power.
@@kennyu2073 In zone 2, slow twitch type 1 muscle fibers are activated, and these fibers use fat for power. So if you want to lose fat you'll want to exercise in zone 2 because fat is used for fuel.
The directions warn you about the pistons heating up to a point where they can be damaged. I think it says 15 minutes, but I use mine for a half hour with no issues. Sunny has a UA-cam channel with a bunch of mini stepper exercise routines that are very helpful. I really like mine!
Thanks for the info Barb!
I think the trick to solving that problem is simply use it per description, keep your mits of the pistons ......
@simon, they said it damages the pistons..not that they're not to toych. The heat itself damages the machine
Thank you for this review. My stepper just arrived this morning. I am excited to use it to help strengthen my legs.
Great. Hope you enjoy it!
I have it....bought it along with the rower as a part of my new years resolutions....it does get boring tho but just think about the end goal
true O. M....although because it is so boring, it has really reminded me that a walk outside is so much better, thus I'm walking outside more 😃
Recommendation to use for 15 minutes allow resting periods of 30 minutes in between use. (to avoid overheating)

thank you for the best review pros and cons , and now i choose get one 😁
Glad I could help Zahroh!
Thanks for pros and cons, yes I will get one 👌
Thanks for watching leysi!
Im 62 and love mine .....ive put away the dumbells. .
Good review - I have MS and I find walking pads difficult for getting those extra steps. Looking closer at a stepper. thank you
Glad it was helpful Garpo!
Some people like myself are just really not a fan of the gym. Don't get me wrong I still go, but only because I live in a small apartment for now. These are nice for at least having something to raise my heart rate and move a bit until I can expand a bit for a home gym. Living on the third floor of an apartment with no lift and I'll be moving soon, so no heavy treadmills or ellipticals for me.
I agree, if it's the best you can do in a small space, it will at least get you going!
I have a sunny mini stepper and it works good for me! I It raise my bpm pass 109 which is for my age of 64 .I also alternate this with my rebounding and treadmill on alternate days.I usually do mini stepper this at night when looking at TV.Better than laying on couch like I used to.
Nice!
You were going kind of slow. Not sure if you were at a higher resistance level, but if you are going faster and get into a rhythm that makes the steps go faster. :)
Shulls in Utah...good point. I had the resistance cranked way up...I will adjust accordingly!
This was super helpful thank you
Glad it was helpful Samarah!
Thanks for this video. I just unboxed mine .
Nice Myrna...enjoy!
Loved this video and LOVE your sense of humor! I am living to know, did you put the stepper equipment in your closet?!
@Shalom_Seraphina, thanks! I have not put it in the closet, but I’m giving it away as I haven’t used it in months!
@@FitnessFinance4u go to know and thank you again!!

I'm thinking of buying one and searched for reviews, which is how I came across this video. I noticed you posted a year ago. I wanted to ask some questions. How has the equipment held up, how often do you use it and do you still feel like it's a great workout? It looks fun and low impact, which is what caught my attention. Thanks for sharing!
Mischell, I had it for about 6 months and then gave it away. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad piece of equipment, just not for me. The main reason being it said it could only be used for 15 minute increments, which is not enough time for me to burn fat. It is built well though. See my follow up review here. I find this review helpful. I live in Atlantic Canada where working out outdoors is not an option during at least 8 months out of the year, and I absolutely don’t have room for a treadmill. I do realize this tiny stepper is not perfect, but if someone finds it even slightly useful in California, it will definitely help in my circumstances.
Glad it was helpful! I lived in Detroit for a few years, so I know how harsh winters can get. But I think Eastern Canada may have that beat!
I’d love to see a review. Just bought this for the days I can’t make it to the gym.
Hoping you like my review F!
Interesting. Thanks!
Steven, thanks for watching and I hope it helped you out.
I use mine while watching TV. Time goes by without thinking about it
@ralphsgirl06…nice!
Same!
Hello there, nice video. So you really need so much time with the stepper? I have a walking pad but it is making a lot of noise and I am thinking to buy a mini stepper.. But as you said, I need now 1.5hour for 10.000 steps, if i need 3.5hours thats not gonna work..
Oforos, I’ve been told by other viewers that it shouldn’t take that long and I should lighten the resistance so my legs pump the mini stepper faster. I’m going to try that next and see what happens.
Thank you please do a follow up
Thanks Shanice. If this video gets enough views, I definitely will.
Thank you great video.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
I ordered one but I have a plan on how to use it. If you have stairs you can climb up and down instead, or you can go up and down 3 steps. I wouldn't use this for cardio, you can probably do cardio in place without this. I plan to use it more with full motion including flexing ankles and toes, if you don't flex your ankles then you're just using your knees which is not optimal. I'll probably step on it with my heels hanging off, maybe with bare feet. If you use this as in the videos I expect it wouldn't be as good as walking that's why I'm going to use it differently, that's my expectations. It's supposed to arrive later today.
Geniegogo…it sounds like you have a good plan. Good luck with it!
@@FitnessFinance4u hey thanks for the reply. It seems to be working for me but I'm not in great shape like you. Do you think you can try and scoot your feet back so that your heels are off the pedals and then see if it's a better workout? It's an entirely different feeling and different muscles are used. Thanks so much.
Do you have any reviews for any under desk bike pedals? I teach K and that "sounds" good for when I'm grading or even doing small groups.
@lisetteandreani3326...yay a teacher! My parents were both teachers so I really appreciate what you are doing! I have not reviewed any "under desk bike pedals". Who knows, I might in the future. After testing the mini stepper, I think the best option is to get an "under the desk" treadmill. Keep up the good work!
@FitnessFinance4u I love my kiddos!!! 2nd grade for 13 years, 1st 3 years, and kindergarten now for 5 years❤️. I just subscribed so I'll keep my ears open😊.
the counter on mine counts left step/right step as a step. So multiply that 2k+ x2. So it could be about 4k steps for 40 min. that’s what mine does, maybe that’s what yours does too?
The Knotty Goblin, appreciate the insight. I'll check out the manual.
How about my way, I use 0 credit card and pay everything cash. If I can’t pay cash then I can’t afford it keep it simple and stupid kind of lifestyle.
I've tried a few steppers but the resitance is quite low. Are there steppers out there with good resistance - adjustable resitance even. I'd likie to feel like I have to really push down to creaste the next step if you know what I mean - thankyou - loving your reviews
I'm not sure as this is the only one I've tried. If I find one for a future review, I'll let you know.
@@FitnessFinance4u thankyou !
i am having the same issue. WFH, I'm barely walking and feeling the effects. At my previous job I would hit at least 5k steps by lunch.
I’m testing out a treadmill next. Maybe that will be better?
Micro workouts are all the rage ,i love this little machine ,i find ordinary walking boring as this good man described. .
Micro workouts...great name!
Apparently micro workouts are all the rage ,people doing squats as they brush there teeth ,people doing calf raises waiting for the kettle to boil , people running for buses instead of walking ,all these types of things are thought to be very beneficial. ....😀😀😀
Good review! I'm waiting for mine to be delivered tomorrow. Hopefully it's something I connect with for a good home workout. Did you end up getting the treadmill after all?
Thank you. Still haven't gotten the treadmill.
Please do a follow up just got one my self
Thanks for watching Miss Missy...the video seems to be getting a lot of views so I just might.
Thanks😊
Your welcome Trust!
Curious to know if you ended up getting the treadmill for your desk at a later point...
I actually did and am testing it right now for my next video!
Yeah....see. we introverts don't wanna be outside 😂 this machine is perfect 👌🏾
🤣
Sunny seems to make good quality products. Mini-steppers in general seem like they have too small of a range of motion to burn many calories and are better just for toning your calves. If stuck indoors, I'd rather walk on a treadmill to burn calories. I actually bought a Men's Health brand mini-stepper from a discount store for 70 bucks and didn't expect much. It's a little bigger than the Sunny model and it's designed so the platforms stay parallel to the floor and raise up to around 10 inches. So you're really raising your knees high while working your quads/glutes more than the lower leg. 15 minutes on it feels like "real" challenging exercise though and would be too distracting to do while working.
Gary, I think you are right about the “range of motion” being an issue. I guess I’ll have to get that treadmill I was avoiding…argh.
@@FitnessFinance4u Mini steppers seem like a good secondary type "lightweight" exercise - not burning much energy but better than nothing. You look like you're in shape, but someone trying to lose weight might need something that requires more movement to get results (walking, biking, etc). If I had a job standing behind a counter, a stepper would be good to just to stay a little active and a burn a few calories here and there. I use a deskcycle in that manner while on a recliner watching movies. A powered low profile treadmill seems like the perfect "exercise while working" solution imo.
Sooooo how’s it going so far with this equipment? I just bought one! Will be getting an under desk treadmill once winter comes around this year but …. I have a stationary bike and now this to add to my home gym
Mrs. Wahoske, I found out some not so great news. It looks like the manual says you shouldn’t use the stepper for more than 15 mins at a time or it could damage the machine. So, I think the treadmill is going to be your best bet for getting those steps in.
Thanks again for your response. I’m going to find and watch your follow up review on this mini stepping machine. Thank you!
I wonder if this helps for "walking backward" benefits
Hmmm…🤔…good question
Can someone help, which one is better Sunny Twist Stepper or Mini stepper (original, the one used in this video)?
My opinion of course ,i think both extremely beneficial, but with the machine that moves from side to side ,may possibly bring more muscle into play....
how do you adjust the resistance? I just got mine today and it's very heavy to step on it.
The knob under the stepper @4:12 in the video
Whats better an aerobics stepper with riser blocks or a stepper like this?
I’m assuming when you say “aerobics” stepper you mean using step up blocks? If so, those are great because you can use them for as long as you want. With the mini stepper, it says the equipment should only be used for 15 mins. However, it really comes down to what you like. If you like it, you’ll continue to do it, thus be more consistent and get in better shape!
I was thinking about buying either a walking track or a similar stepper, for the same purpose and reasons. Now, after watching your review, I realized that it is not suitable for me, since it is less effective and I don`t have 3 hours for 10k steps. Usually it's 1h max
Thanks for watching and glad I could help!

How are you still liking the stepper after a month?
Laura. I like it ok. It’s holding up fine. I’m finding that I’m really trying to get outside and do a couple of 30 min walks instead. But have been using it in my “gym/utility” room when I can’t get out.
They say to only be on it for 15 minutes a day or it can damage the machine that’s why it was hot when you touched it
Coco, thanks for pointing that out. I missed that when I was using it and am bit disappointed at that. I guess it’s more of a “warm up” machine rather than a true piece of fitness equipment for getting your steps in?
@@FitnessFinance4u I’ve tried being on it for 15 minutes I couldn’t do it my legs were killing me so the people who went longer I give 2 thumbs up 😄
I guess a workaround to use it for hours all day is to buy two or 3. Swap them out every 15 minutes. Step on one while the others are cooling off. Still cheaper and will take up less space than a treadmill.
Can this actually help with the glutes? I just got mine today. My thighs were on fire.
Mel, that’s a good question. I searched the internet and read a few articles and most of them say “ mini steppers work your glutes”, but they really don’t have enough range of motion to build your glutes. So you might want to add some squats and Bulgarian Split Squats along with your stepper. Hope I helped?
When I loose the knob for a faster step it just tightens back up. Any suggestions?
Hmm…sounds like you might want to return yours as get a new one.
@@FitnessFinance4u thank you!!
Nice
Thanks
How are you sir
Will your calf muscles get big when using this?
Stefi...that's a good question. I'm not a certified trainer, but I can tell you what I've learned. Muscle growth comes from working out with weights, not cardio. Not sure if you wanted bigger calf muscles or not? Either way, check with a certified personal trainer and he/she can give you some better information.

I bought a mini stepper it arrived today, I’m very disappointed because it’s very hard to use and there’s no dial to change the resistance. I wasted over €100.. I have to buy another one that has different resistance levels.
The resistance knob is on the bottom of the stepper. (I demonstrated this on the video) Also, send it back if you aren’t happy! Free returns through Amazon…at least here in the US.

Good on you @ohpantsu!
So, is the limit REALLY only 15 minutes?
SALL, I was alerted to this by another viewer and just checked the manual for myself. Yes, it does in fact say “Do not use the stepper for more than 15 minutes as the hydraulic cylinders may overheat and become damaged.” What a disappointment!
This is great for really obese or old people because running on a threadmill is too high impact for their feet. The problem is if they have bad balance.
You do have a good point there.

10k steps a day is good. It's more intense workout than walking as uoure lifting your feet constantly.
I agree 10K steps a day is good. However, according to the owner's manual, your only supposed to used this mini stepper for 15 minutes at a time or it may break. Here's my updated reveiw. ua-cam.com/video/rbNgWAXPDSk/v-deo.html
Buy 2 mini steppers go 15 minutes on each maybe take a 15 minute break then go over to the first again. Why would yo do this? Because it’s SUPER Cheap even if you buy two (or even 3). So adapt.
