this one reminds me of the old dreamwave 's comic version of sunstorm, that was a good storyline, and as always a great review.

The kind of improvements i'd personally like would include folding segments on the wing leading edges - as those long spines really get in the way a lot.

Isn't there another step - the crotch piece moves to cover the cockpit area a bit more. I do like the colours though - especially if they make a matched set.
Some should make one in the Orange of the G1 reissue toy too - for those of us who consider the Yellow and the Orange separate characters.

The Rainmaker seekers are so underrated compared to the classic seekers.
What some new "fans" don't understand about Transformers lore is, every character has their own set of abilities. All Seekers DON'T have the same abilities. For example:
1-Thundercracker has the ability of sonic booms to disorient his enemies, no other Seeker had that ability.
2-Skywarp's ability to teleport is his, & his alone. Understand?
Bottom line is: ONLY Starscream has Null Rays, no one else. Fans that grew up w/the original Anime show, and know the lore know this as fact. 99.999% of the time their name had to do w/their ability. From Braun to Shockwave, Mirage & Ironhide to, Ravage Rumble & Soundwave. The only characters in the line that had the same abilities were Rumble & has twin Frenzy
The need to fix up the problems with having the wings attach to robot mode, and not having the top plate of the jet come in flush - those two things have plagued this line. I did appreciate the improved waist connect though.
You could always swap the heads so you have the brown head sculpt on your bb7 version.

If only it had the hasbro gold head. That's the one distinguishing feature that made it not just "yellow starscream" and stand out from the other seekers.

Be careful with the YM/BB7 flight stands, I've had two break on me so far.
How do they break?
The tip of the hook that goes around the jet attach cracks and breaks off. The second one I was very careful with and it has almost cracked off.
never had that issue, THOUGH I cant seem to get 4 jets to be stablized on the flight stands in jet mode
Those two swivel chest pieces really need to come together and be level vertically as well, so at one place they form one nub that can fit into the depression on the end of the stand near the wrap-around hook. That might be your problem but I am not certain what you are describing.

shawz10 in my opinion ym/bb7 do the best ones I think Ben will agree on that
shawz10 robot heroes. In mp scale yes model.ive been through all of them. The worst are the kos that come in the fake takara boxes(probably why they go for around $50), then it's bb7 without yes model working with them(the arms used to snap right off skywarp), then kbb(better than officials but miss the mark slightly and mimic hasbros releases) yes model are the highest standard in the mp scale, they're what takara's releases should have been quality wise. Robot heroes are on an even higher level but they're in a scale meant to go along side the mpp10 and weijiangs other os mps. I know the question was meant for ben, but since I've been through all of them I figured I'd comment. I'm sure ben would agree.
Yes-Model BB7 seekers.
The Yes Models/BB7 are an improvement over the MP ones (mostly at the waist connect, and arguable aesthetic improvements for the coneheads), but they still have their problems. The KBB ones are junk. Toyworld's don't scale correctly as bots. Maketoys is putting out a new mold. One day there will be a release that shames all of this I suspect, but not anytime soon.
MultiJamesman make toys are apparently doing one so you may see a newer version soon

Stavekoff there can never be enough seekers. In all seriousness though, I wish they would start having alternate head sculpts or interchangeable faceplates. One of the things I love about my robot heroes starscream is that he came with two heads, I really only use the one with the smirk but I like options and since it's just the same mold over and over and over again with some different paint apps, it's almost all profit(especially with the high prices of the officials so I don't understand why they can't at least give us an extra face or at the very least, make sure every seeker has a different face sculpt. It's not that much to ask for. All of them had different personalities on the show so why not express that?
I do not care about packaging ....pass the savings on to the consumer or put it into the product,,, it's not like they are on a shelf at a toy store needing colourful packaging to attract impressionable kids
Man, does no one else look at all these Sunstorms and just wish someone would do one in a paint scheme like the original E-Hobby G1 mold? Give me retina-searing neon orange and white, not this lemon yellow/concentrated orange juice nonsense!

Anytime. the mold was used on the proto of the mp11 new seeker mold(thats not new now) lol I miss mine a lot and he was really well made ^.^
