Cans do influence the velocity of the round, it just depends on what kind of pressure youre working with. Ask anyone shooting in the PRS, or do velocity testing yourself with a higher powered rifle, adding a suppressor to the end of a precision rifle can increase the bullet velocity by about 25-75 feet per second. Granted its a small advantage, and usually isnt the reason why competitors will use one, but it needs to be taken into consideration at some ranges. I shoot with several guys who use suppressors on their match rigs in order to mitigate the felt "pressure wave" and recoil of their rifles to help them keep from blinking or flinching after firing so that they can spot their hits, and the added FPS gain is a cherry on top. Lots of videos here on utube demonstrate what velocity gains can be had from putting a can on a full sized rifle. Barrel length is far more influencial in this context though, i just figured id let people know!

The other thing that people don't talked about in the direct vs. delayed blowback debate is the longevity of parts. Direct blowback is significantly more violent on parts and often cause part failures at much lower round counts. This is the open secret in the competitive world.

I think the reliability of the A1 outweighs the softer recoil of the A3.

But can introduce failure to eject/reset issues especially if you change the lower to the Scorpion Mag or Glock Mag compatible ones that can have AR-15 triggers installed. So if you going to mod it get a SP9A1.
