    Thank you for putting this on graph paper! I have wanted to try a diamond heel, but a chart like this gets through my brain fog. Now I think I can add 1x1 ribs to it, to make the perfect heel! And your English is very good! And your comments about the length are very helpful!

      Can you tell me where you started your increases for toe up please? The addi file seems to suggest 20.5 centimetres which seems too long!

      @ Then you need to knit 20 cm, but you have to measure it from the beginning of the toe and the fabric needs to be streched.

    Thank you very much for English tutorial! It’s always a struggle to knit socks for beginners. This pattern make knitting socks much easier but as beautiful as other heels. I’m gonna try and share💖💖💖

    Thank you. I will have to figure out a "rows per inch" formula, to know when to start the heel for toe up socks. ❤❤
    I'm a formula knitter so I can use any yarn and needles size. 🤗

    This is freaking BRILLIANT! I would think that how many inc/dec would track w/ where you would start to traditionally turn the heel where the foot starts to increase in girth, then decreases would start at the end of the heel where you'd turn. So gauge would be a factor as well but really, this is just a wonderful technique.

    This is very much like the diamond heel by always be kind yarns on ravelry. She came out with hers a few years ago. Thanks for sharing your version as well .

      @@DawnMcD1 Thanks, I just checked it out. It seems familiar, but I could‘t see how it is knitted, because it‘s not a free pattern. Have you tried it?

      @ yes. It is done very much the same way as yours with the increases and decreases. And was created with the purpose of helping to maintain self patterning or striping yarn.

    Thanks for this video! I use the German Short Row heel for toe up socks and would like to try this way, any guide on when to start the increases? Is it the same point that I start my GSR heel?

    Love this! How many inches/centimeters do you knit after the diamond is finished, before starting the toe deceases? On an adult sock, top down.

      @@debbiewilson5249 That depends on the size you want to knit. I always start with the toe, when my fabric reaches my small toe. So it is best to try it on.

    I'm going to try this with 4x12 stitches so I'll knit 11 s before and after increases and decreases? So it's 0.25X - 1 if X = total number of stitches.

      I always devide my heel stitches into 2 and then - 1.

    Thank you so much! I'm trying this on toe-up socks, but I wonder when should I start the increases? (If my foot is 24cm from toe to end of heel... and I knit from the toe. How far should I knit before starting the diamond? Meaning how long is this heel? ...if you understand how I mean 🙈)
    (I'm from Sweden, with some difficulties to express how I mean in English)

      @@jessicadrougge950 I just finished a pair of toe up socks today. There is a chart, where you can take the cm from the Boomerang heel. That worked just fine for me: addi.de/en/instructions/sock-charts/

      I would solve by measuring your gauge! If you plan to knit the heel the exact same as in the video, then there are 20 rounds between starting the heel and getting to the widest point where it turns. So however long 20 rounds is, start that much short of the total foot length. Hopefully that makes sense!

    wow, this looks quite interesting - i can’t wait to try it! thank you so much for showing this to us. for anyone worrying about how long lasting this heel will be, i’m guessing that we could just do the regular slip stitch pattern within the increases/decreases. i wonder how many increases you would make for size 7 women’s and size 11 men’s socks u.s.?
