Should have asked them about their opinion on cloud computing being the future. I just don't see a need for such high performance on my local machine, I just would not need it a majority of the time.
The same was said in the 80s and 90s and 00s with each generation except back then the theory was about teletype machines, or thin desktops, or dumb terminals, each time that theory failed, just like "wireless will be free everywhere, no one will have to pay for bandwidth" was also a failed theory.
Yeah, see how cloud computing works when your internet connection gets congested or goes out, or you need it remotely on a mobile device and your signal goes slow or out. Never happen? Sure.
Very good interview asking some good tough questions. And of course Apple played their cards very close to the chest. Big takeaway something they kept saying over and over again Apple is not a chip company it is a product company. With an almost totally vertical integration every design point is tuned specifically Apple OS and software. Another bit of Apple brilliance is reusable technology across different products

@@superblondeDotOrg Intel inside campaign definitely was successful. It was short, catchy and it was everywhere. I don't think people bought them because they knew what Intel did. They just saw it everywhere and tied that to it being the standard for quality. This also created the low budget of boom, cause, again, not knowing what the chips did.
Very well done interview. Educational. Could see the passion and drive of both engineers, and the love for their work and Apple. Interesting answer to their future AI prospects as well. Seems to be in line with the rumors I'm hearing of an announcement related to AI coming this Summer. Also, Cook at yesterday's earning call mentioned AI for the first time. Given they have all the aspects in house, and they control, AI is gonna be a BIG market for them moving forward.
“We are not a chip” Ok, we get it Johnny!
Next CEO of Apple. I like him!
A real life dynamic duo
Really well-explained by Apple's officials. I like Apple as a company even though I am fully aware that they are sometimes just greedy. Apple products are a pleasure to use and the tight integration between devices, hardware, and software, makes them so good together and no other company can achieve this "walled garden" effect.
This was so insightful . I was expecting an question on quantum computing's future for apple .. to increase compute and use AI efficiently
Again, Thank You Steve Jobs, for hiring these talented individuals !
Rest in Peace!
they got kind of excited when talking about generative AI. I hope we get great updates with those AI improvements.
very good guys, great interview.
you need a duel speaker, in each beats headphone piece, to create better 3d 4d sound. hope its something
So they are years ahead of what the public gets. Wonder how many versions of Vision Pros they are on?
Great video 📹 ❤
29:58 He really said stfu to that stupid nvidia question 😂
잼있는 방송 감사합니다
Nothing on AVP?
Apple is the best company in the world. 👑
Sure.
Yeah consider connectivity and security/privacy like on device processing of ai services like siri
30:45 he slipped and said “M series”. That indicated to me there is another series of chips being developed that may target gaming. Exciting…
apple silicon is just mind blowing
Apple have all the best Johnnys
Johnny Appleseed is my favorite
I would be happy if they say something about cloud computing.
Very good interview asking some good tough questions. And of course Apple played their cards very close to the chest. Big takeaway something they kept saying over and over again Apple is not a chip company it is a product company. With an almost totally vertical integration every design point is tuned specifically Apple OS and software. Another bit of Apple brilliance is reusable technology across different products
summarized 34 minutes for you: APPLE IS NOT A CHIP COMPANY
Great interview but Johnny needs to learn how to pass the mic.
Great video.. there are a kazillion electrical circuits in a computer and pretty humbling that if any one circuit was short circuited the device would not operate.
Never thought about that
19:40 the reason is simple, because M3 wasn't that big of a leap over M3
N3 is just not that much better than N5
Intensify chip development to sustain your technological edge. Harness the potential of AI for optimal advancements, ensuring your dominance as industry leaders. Give that AI to your customers so that they can maximize their work and play productivity efforts that rival science fiction today. Your unwavering dedication propels your success; continue pushing boundaries at full throttle. Proactively expedite the US chip foundry to safeguard against potential threats, such as a China-Taiwan conflict. The preservation of this foundry is crucial, and the US will not concede it to external forces. Prepare proactively to avert any setbacks and ensure uninterrupted progress.
Surprised by this interview. It’s not the norm
Half of the interview felt like an Apple ad
It’s because apple isnt trying to compete with anyone besides themselves. It’s brilliant because it means growth.
Great interview 👏
A little bit more questions about sustainability of Apple products🙏
Isreal. Love.
