HOW TO: Make a DIY Trellis for Your Houseplants

I made a trellis for my neon philodendron to climb on. This is an easy way to give any of your vining or climbing indoor plants something to grow on.

I spent a bunch of money on a trellis that looked just like that and it ended up being too heavy to even be functional. Who knew I already had all the supplies to make my own trellis-one that would actually work! Thanks for the great idea!!

That is such a good idea! I need to get busy on a hoya my neighbor gave me. One of the stems is getting so long. I do have a trellis for it so hopefully I get it done. 🌿👍🌿

Will it actually root on the trellis?

The roots will grow on to/into the trellis over time! Similar to how some plants latch their roots onto walls or planks of wood. But the roots won’t really take any nutrients/moisture from the trellis like they would if they attached to a moss pole or something
