I've been waiting for almost a year. No, I'm not happy at all for those people who get approved in a couple of months. It's not fair. Such early approvals take up time for those who have been waiting for a very long time. I don't understand why USCIS doing this

That is so true. At the beginning of the year, my petition had 2 months for the estimated time, and when I got to two months, it went to a few weeks. Now, after 15 months, it is saying it is taking longer to process.

The processing times listed on the site are not reliable, they are based on a calculation of 80% of median case processing times, but even then they are grossly misleading because there case few cases that take years and skew the statistics.

My husband is a citizen and he applied for me (I’m Peruvian). We decided to do the process by ourselves because lawyers are expensive (about $2500) and it has taken us…two and a half YEARS to get it approved. In that time I wasn’t able to work though…so I guess is not that bad 😅 But if your partner doesn’t make enough money you should invest in a lawyer or a paralegal to get it faster for you. Paralegals are cheaper, around $900.

So I’m in the US military and I file for my mom like 8 months, I call to expedite it and they denied it. Maybe I should stop the filing and send her to go get a visa, allow her to come and overstay on her visa and a apply for parole in place. Look like that way work a lot faster😅
Hello. This is very urgent, please. Regarding seeing my daugher urgently in US. Im presently still stuck in UK. I have been separated from my daughter, only child, for just over 2 years now since 1 week after her 1st birthday. She has just turned 3. Father to US Citizen. Still husband, but estranged spouce of US Citizen. Entered US on ESTA given 180 days stay with wife and daugher. Filed to stay prior to 180 days. All of relevant forms were completed to stay and all approved. ESTA-Entered. I-130 G-28 I-765 I-485 All filed, all approved. Sat in USCIS awaiting interview. I-130 permissions granted and I-131 to travel outside were approved aswell. I was under the impression that I had a 3 year bar because I left the US prior to interview. I have just been informed that I might not have a bar at all. Reason being I was technically not in the US illegally because sufficient change of status granted, plus I was given permission to leave. Essentially all that's happened is I have just sadly lost or abandonded my visa application, but there is no bar. Never was. Can anyone please confirm this to be correct it is a matter of great urgency. Thank you, The father.

Are you in the United States? What was your status when you filed? Have you ever had issues with immigration? What country are you from? Have you ever received an RFE? All these questions play a part in how long your case may take.

You can’t email USCIS, you must send a letter to the service center that’s processing your case asking to withdraw your case. It can take many months or a year for them to withdraw it

Regarding seeing my daugher urgently in US. Im presently still stuck in UK.
I have been separated from my daughter, only child, for just over 2 years now since 1 week after her 1st birthday. She has just turned 3.
Father to US Citizen. Still husband, but estranged spouce of US Citizen.
Entered US on ESTA given 180 days stay with wife and daugher.
Filed to stay prior to 180 days.
All of relevant forms were completed to stay and all approved.
ESTA-Entered.
I-130
G-28
I-765
I-485
All filed, all approved.
Sat in USCIS awaiting interview.
I-130 permissions granted and I-131 to travel outside were approved aswell.
I was under the impression that I had a 3 year bar because I left the US prior to interview. I have just been informed that I might not have a bar at all.
Reason being I was technically not in the US illegally because sufficient change of status granted, plus I was given permission to leave.
Essentially all that's happened is I have just sadly lost or abandonded my visa application, but there is no bar. Never was.
Can anyone please confirm this to be correct it is a matter of great urgency.

My Concurrent Filing case decision time for forms I-130 and I-485 just jumped from 2 months to 8 months and my I-765 progress says that, “Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You will be notified if you need to take any action.”

My I 129 was approved yesterday. It took 250 days.
Just did my US Citizenship took about 8 months.

Are you in the United States? What was your status when you filed? Have you ever had issues with immigration? What country are you from? Have you ever received an RFE? All these questions play a part in how long your case may take.

You can’t email USCIS, you must send a letter to the service center that’s processing your case asking to withdraw your case. It can take many months or a year for them to withdraw it
