How wonderful this was! We love seeing Dr Arvid in the US! His practice is about an hour and a half north of my home in Gray GA!! I loved how he loved the zebra!
@@deniseroe5891 There's a gentleman in my area who owns one, he brings him into the store where I work sometimes and he is MASSIVE! The only dog I've seen to rival his size is a Turkish Kangal. He is a very sweet and well mannered boy, really feels like petting a polar bear!
So sorry about Joker lamb. The owner of the dog needs to be held accountable for this. Maybe not monetarily, but at least make sure his dog isn't able to get onto your property again.
i just want to thank you guys for caring for these precious animals, i love animals so much, i have quite the mini farm t my house too, i have two guinea pigs, i really want a chinchilla but their expensive in california lol i haven't petted a zebra though and thats at the way top of my bucket list lol, i have two dogs, many love birds, homing pigeons, and two turtles and i love all the animals i have, i also love horses too, you all are doing the best you can for these precious animals and i would like to thank you so much
Wonderful Noah’s Ark, all living in harmony. Thank you for all you do. I love animals, all God’s creatures. Our pets are a lifetime commitment, either theirs or ours. They are like having a child in a lot of ways. On our property we have 12 dogs, four goats and some chickens. Five families all related by marriage or blood on 12 acres. I am in Texas and have never heard of this type of hunting. That’s horrible.
Hunting to eat, I don't have a problem with. However, hunting just for the sake of killing something should be illegal as far as I'm concerned. The only exception, is killing something humanely, to alleviate it's suffering. And no one can/will convince me otherwise.
Property is secure. But it won't stop an animal from coming in if determined. That's why we've got protection dogs. They were worth us when the attack happened. The turtle is relinquished gyros from a family that's dog used him as a chewy. I'm in a small town they call me for everything
I do have to say, a lot better security could keep tragedies like Joker's death, which wasn't so loving or peaceful at the claws and teeth of a bloodthirsty dog, from happening. I would have at least, penned up anything vulnerable which couldn't look after itself, had all the free range animals sectioned off. Safari zoos and parks manage this flawlessly, with barbed wire, chicken wire, electric fencing. You wouldn't want rangers of any kind popping off invaders with guns of course, that's the whole deal with a rescue sanctuary.
Both types of Chinchillas are on the endangered species list. They shouldn't be living as a house pet. I know that they claimed to have rescued theirs, but there are better places that a healthy Chinchilla could be where they may be part of a species recovery program. Also they live in colonies/herds, so having a single Chinchilla is far from ideal for them, no matter how much you love and try and spoil them as a house pet. 😢
I'm annoyed. How can he check the hearing like that? The first dog didn't react until the tuningfork actually touched the ear and what about the other ear? You don't check just one. And the dying lamb. He couldn't find a vein in the leg. There's 3 more and the neck in extreme situations. I had to stop watching.
No they need to make sure the owner is charged dogs are pray animals if it had never been around lambs or other stock before that could be why it attacked or it could be a hunting dog either way what it did was instinct and it wouldn’t have happened if the owner was responsible.
@@gizzmowalliss Dogs are not prey animals. They are predators. I grew up on a ranch where we had sheep. Believe me when I say no rancher will tolerate a dog who attacks the sheep. They certainly would never train a dog to attack sheep. Any dog who threatens the sheep is shot to death immediately. You are exactly backasswards wrong.
@@joanreynolds955 my apologies I meant to say have a pray drive also I've been on plenty of sheep farms who have dogs that will attack sheep if given the chance. Also it's an irrelevant answer as the dogs I was talking about don't belong to that farm and might not belong to a farmer at all.
I agree. Dogs are pack animals, descended from wolves. They are predators, some of them with out of control prey drive and instincts which will lead to the deaths of innocent animals. I'm afraid, it is also down to Ria to maintain security on her property as well, doing the rounds, counting all heads, morning, afternoon, evening, checking for holes or weak spots in fences, gates, doors, especially round the outskirts of the property. Yes, Ok, it is a lovely outdoor noah's ark, but any security which is in place is obviously a bit too simple for a dangerous dog to brake through it, culminating in the loss of Joker. She could also do with taking on some either, voluntary or paid ranch rangers who would patrol the outskirts of the property armed with the wherewithall to deal with 4-legged uninvited furry raiders.
I have so much respect for Dr. Arvid and his knowledge and ability to explain to people.
They're such a loving, caring, and compassionate pair of ladies.

What an amazing place and a fantastic woman
A good example of how HUGE Central Asian Shepherds are - that's a 3 (possibly 4, looking at him) month old puppy!
Just watched “Girl with Dogs” groom two. They are huge! I thought my Pyrenees was big, these are so big.

That hunting practice needs to be made illegal.
😢😢😢. Poor lamb.
Chinchillas are sold in pet stores. There is no programs for them to be introduced back. These are from fur farms and are considered domesticated
starting 2024, they're no longer allowed to be held as pets in The Netherlands
❤
Not everything ends with a happy ending lm sorry

Just shoot the zebra!? What the heck for? A rug, are you kidding me? What kind of person does that?
Texas shame on you. Stop the zebra hunting
....BUT WHAT ABOUT THE DOG THAT ASSASSINATED THAT POOR LAMB!? I can't imagine having to do that. Id be making some angry phone calls. 😅
She sort of looks like angelina
He's a great vet, but he sucks at trimming goat hoofs.
WATCHED FROM ISRAEL.

+CHARGE PEOPLE TO HUNT
THE ANIMALS

Where are all these dogs coming from that are attacking these animals? Maybe the property needs to be a bit more secure?
Maybe people need to control their dogs.

They need to make sure the dog that attacked that poor lamb is PUT DOWN.

How much money for the animals did you donate Nicky? Or was it just about getting your face shown on social media to become more famous?
