Why so snail wild card and nitrado can delete everything on updates?
So I have to ask Don. Why was the comment I posted removed?
So we are looking at losing ASA. The first play snail has, is a reverse split. It would bring their share price back up to over $1. If they fail to meet the requirements and hold them, then Snail will no longer be traded publicly and removed off the Nasdaq. The shares will then be traded as OTC stocks (pink sheets). Once that happens, its reflected as a failed company and more than likely lead to bankruptcy. Snail's contract allows them to own licensing rights for $2m per month while only having a bankroll of $24m and more than likely exclusive only to snail. So in the event say another company were to buy snail, it would probably void the contract. So it seems to me that in every scenario I can think of, we will be losing ASA and probably won't see Ark 2 neither. As per the contract, once Ark 2 gets released then ASA will no longer be operating. If we lose ASA before Ark 2 comes out then we lose that also. Asa is funding Ark 2.
Man I hope snail hits bankruptcy so they have to sell ark to a different company 🙏
A different one may not be better. It could get worse. Not to say I like Snail at all. The CEO is a bonehead IMO.
I lean towards this way of thinking too , but as long as it ends up not costing us fans the game and future content that has been paid for.
I do feel like ark was probably ahead of its time so was actually kinda happy that they were going to bring out asa, especially as a console player.
It go to ubisoft, EA, and similar horrible companies. So watch what you wish for.

I doubt even if Wildcard got rid of snail games. They get any better. I swear they devs are useless and very unskilled. I’ve seen smaller indie dev teams do better job with UE games.
Asa is simple Copy of ASE, slapped into UE 5.0/.5.1 and that why runs so bad. Cus they did lazy and did as cheep as possible

I haven’t even genuinely played Ark since ASA released cuz honestly I’m not a fan of A.) the terrible optimization of ASA and B.) I don’t like all the paid mods and micro transactions at all. Not that mods are inherently bad, but I miss when Ark felt like a dinosaur survival game at least on most maps.
You can still play with just Dino’s. There’s plenty of servers out there like that. You want vanilla? Go find it. It’s out there.

@@plasmabolt4246 Several mods and APIs were paid and also anything outside the toxic official servers, cost money in some way or another. If you feel like the minor investment of these mods and expansions...don't buy them, play the base game. I think it is fine that mod creators finally can get some money openly and not indirectly through patrean, twitch, close sites, etc. You're downplaying how much it was and is part of ASE.

Paid mods were only indirectly part of ASE and didn't hinder players from experiencing the best molded experience. This is different, and as the saying goes:
"Why fix something when it ain't broke." (Correct me if I misquoted that)
I think Wildcard needs to address this situation and come forward with their plan for the community who bought their dlcs and invested both time and money
be a smart and sensible person, find a new game, this game is toxic and just brainwashing their players that "something good will come eventually"

It's well deserved with how Wild Card handled ASA. They've shown for years now they don't care about the official Ark servers and the player experience. The best thing would be for the Ark to continue to fail and maybe someone will buy the IP. Wild Card & Snail will never make the game into what it should be. Ark needs to die before it can be improved.
Unfortunately wildcard buried themselves so deep into snail that they will never get out free. Wildcard made a lot of mistakes at the beginning when securing funding that it has created this ripple effect for years after like we are seeing. They should have stayed independent and continued using crowd funding until the right group came around. I used to work for WC up until the end of evolved when I quit

In my opinion, what they should do to fix their mess is forget everything, map launches, mods, new creatures etc, and just focus on optimising the game so that people can play it properly. Then they should focus on the maps and the rest of content they want out.
Aberration is a beautiful map but if they don't optimize the game before this map is out I don't think it will be very playable, aberration is a map that is very demanding on your PC or console components

yes they need to fix things, they never gave a fuck about fixing issues unless they're either ABSOLUTELY gamebreaking, or if players benefit from them.
but them fixing the game won't make sales either. the vast majority of players who did not buy it yet - *but WOULD* - is not holding back because of the issues, most of them stick with evolved *SPECIFICALLY* because of the lack of maps on ascended
The downside is wildcard doesn't own the rights to the ARK I.P. snail games does, so even if wildcard goes independent, they won't get to keep the ARK i.p., best bet, a major publisher like Microsoft buys wildcard and the ARK ip from snail....or just buys snail games outright

If those games were more polished, they would be really great games, but are chaotic to play. What I was thinking is that, maybe if WC was property of another company, the history could be a bit different.

Look, I get this is a video game company and they need money. If they had kept releasing dino packs, expansions, more content etc. on ASE, I would have gladly continued supporting them that way. I bought all the ASE expansions over the years, even the ones I didn't like much (Genesis) to support the game and the devs that brought me so much enjoyment.
But ASA wasn't new content. It was a total rehash of old. It felt insulting. It felt a little bit like a betrayal, to be honest. I felt like an idiot for supporting Wildcard all these years because they apparently think their players are idiots and will pay for the same game all over again. So I was checked out of ASA the moment it was announced.
And I'm glad I did. With horrible optimization, delay after delay, paid mods, microtransactions, and a very real chance the company goes bankrupt, I feel like I dodged a bullet.
Seriously, if they announced a creature pack of the ASA-voted creatures would be paid DLC for ASE tomorrow, I'd buy it. I'll buy new stuff. But I'm not repurchasing what I already own.
I said it two years ago we will never see ark 2 and sooner or later Libby going out of business because of their poor decision-making kind of hoping it would have been after they got done with ARk ascended

I think if they gave us maewings and incubators it would bring a bunch of people over to ASA. Grinding out to hand raise babies and hatching hundreds of useless eggs when working on mutations is a huge pain when you know those 2 things are coming eventually to streamline breeding and raising.
more people play on unofficials than officials so they already have maewings, other mods that remove the need aswell as incubators and better air cons.
This games SLOWLY dying and it hurts my heart seriously...as someone whose put in roughly 7K hours and have SOOO many memorable moments and met so many great people throughout the years I HATE to think Wildcard studios will potentially get their doors shut for good 😔🥺

Ascended has gained 2.5k players in the past month. They went from 14k to 16k. Although that isn’t much considering their peak is 32k players

If it remains below 1 dollar a share for more than 30 days then if will be taken of the publicly traded shares list which in turns means long term investors will likely pull out and no new investors unless they idiots logn story short its beginning of the end if it doesn't get better.
Or they do what Nikola stock did and do a 1:30 stock split. My shares went from 116 shares to 3.86 shares. I lost half of my investment. They were under $1 for too long. Sucks.
Like at this point I just hope snail games go bankrupt, just so they're forced to sell wildcard to a more competent company....
i can see snail coming out with a stock split that would temporarily increase the stock price but also dilute the number of stock shares. but doing that only delays the inevitable unless people start stacking up on snail stocks but without a longterm plan overall aside from the ark games they WILL go down.

The Big Problem is they havent really learned a lot from ASE and made a lot of mistakes along the way taht couldve been avoided. The big Problem with ASA is its very limiting since you have to have an atleast semi powerful setup to even run it.

no, they would not make more sales if they stopped working on content rather than fixing the game. i too want the game to work properly, but let's not confuse wanting things with knowing things.
whether you like it or not, fixes don't generate money, or not as much as content would. and if it's content that's not even time-consuming to produce, that's even better financially.
that is the big issue we have, you may think people don't play it because it's in bad condition, but that mostly applies to those *WHO ALREADY BOUGHT THE GAME*
the ones who didn't buy it mostly did so because of the lack of maps, there isn't even a single actually popular map out on ascended yet. nobody played island, SE and even center was not popular later down the line with ragnarok, valguero, fjordur and co popping in.
and just to be clear, player counts don't generate money, sales do. if you bought the game and reached the point-of-no-return for a refund, that's a win for them.
and that's also why i think that especially those issues affecting players lategame aren't being addressed for months, or even at all. because those couldn't refund anyway lol

You talk like someone who knows nothing about business. If all your players are complaining about constant delays and game breaking bugs, what in holy hell makes you think you're going to attract new sales?
If you go to Mc Donald's and wait 2 hours for your meal to come back wrong, are you going to tell the next customer "Oh, they're trying to make their business so I gotta support them" or are you going to tell them to take their money and time somewhere else because they're wasting time and money?

What do you mean with "work properly"? People play on 1000+ player clusters easily and the issues are minor. ASA runs fine, many youtubers have completed The Island with very few issues. I run it fine, all 3 maps, with minimum issues.
It is a huge issue that many ARK players have PvP ini oriented gaming rigs, not really strong enough to really PvP or run massive bases in ASA, so they simply cannot play. That takes out a big portion who are forced to stay on old ASE or just go to other games.
The solution is straightforward: withdraw support for ASE. Discontinue server support for ASE and allocate those resources to host ASA instead. Splitting the player base was and is a poor strategy.

This has been my ark experience every time I try to play online;
I find a server and create a new character. I run around for 2 hours looking for a place to put a base with no luck because there are pillars everywhere. I give up and play something else. I've done this several times cause I want to like this game but never get to play unless I play offline

Their largest mistake was adding new maps and creatures you need to buy to play on ASA … makes me feel what did I buy aside from the base game? Same maps, same creatures, and new stuff requires cash 😂
So we will probably see snail doing a reverse split. Notice of compliance is bad. ASA may not be around for much longer if the reverse split and they do something big.
The owner of snail games blew over a billion dollars on a EV car company in Ohio and it tanked hard. That's where all the ASA and Ark 2 money went.
I feel like the maps need more. With 3x/2x all the time, you beat the boss quick and to me the map becomes stale. Do some public events or something to keep me interested. I LOVE ARK, but I'm losing interest. Maybe have certain saddles that have certain stat increases and it's completely RNG. A weight increase saddle, melee, etc. Give me something lol

They will probably do a reverse stock split to become compliant again, probably not going anywhere soon.
They will have 180 days now, and then possibly another 180 days after that.

Breaking news: greedy money grubbing company is receiving blowback and suffering financially for forcing players to re buy a game they already own, taking profits from the mod creators, and missing release dates. All while making the playability of the game marginally better while leaving many game breaking bugs and adding more into the game.

Biggest thing I'm hearing is WC needs to release their first bonus map early and hype everyone up
They really messed everything up, if they could atleast keep their word and stick to the road map, people would play more, giving us events is not helping. We are bored of the same thing over and over. They always missed dead lines on ASE, then when they started ASA we would think they have learned.... but no they still can't do it right. Killed our fav game. Taking money from people for the same game with even more bugs and less content and making people pay extra for anything new that could make the game fun again. They fit us all and here we are still hoping thing will get better. It's sad to see what things have come to.

There trying to bring in a new player base with ascended but they forgot the part that nobody has friends or follows trends
1) Fix the game. Freeze ups, Crashes, things just vanishing...
2) The Hype was for Ark 2... When was the last update concerning the game?
3) P2W content
4) They can come out with all this new pay stuff and content to earn quick coins... Yet don't have time or man power to fix the current game. Seems like they're focused on $$ and not about what made the game so addictive.
The problem is we are getting the same content after months and months of delays. Nothing to be excited for or to keep us engaged. I could fix this problem with just a few things added to the game. Extinction is the most engaging map of all. Just give us the titans on cargo island like territory for starters. Give us pvp zones in pve...instead of ark club give us ark coliseum.... game fixed....
I think it was also a very big mistake to give the server rights to Nitrado because that meant a lot of players left ASA because you still can't play properly on a Nitrado server because the servers have problems almost every day or with every update and then cannot be reached for days. They are completely overwhelmed by this.🙄
Make ratholes a thing again, fix beds, fix cryopods, fix the graphics to make game playable.
Hopefully snail games out the way wildcard might get there act together with the new publisher. Weekend events 3x taming 2x taming whatever. Yeah fine but they reduce the dino count by a third and render range goes from 230 to 40 metres. Every update I have to reinstall every official mod. Clean glass. Power rangers etc etc. These are issues that should not be arising in a game like this. Ark is great, we love it and we hate it. But ark truly can be spectacular but they need fix issues and fix whatever there doing that's creating the same issues every time. They also need more servers. Temp isn't good enough for overflow when they should be accommodating enough spaces for there player base. Then they delay maps but don't extend temp servers. No chibis on proper events. :'(. The colours from summer bash are found on normal mode so only actual good thing about that is double rates. But currently I say they need bin asa and bring evolved back. Minus graphics evolved was better.
Its their own fault releasing ASA without cryofridges and cryopods. People have a life.
That and hardly any maps out. Other maps that make resource gathering faster and all that. We have lives.
@FullUhFools that mod has been out since day 1. So if you're playing pve then just install that on single player. For pvp no cryopods balanced the game out.
I’d imagine people are just waiting for the rest of the maps to come out. Only Island, Center and Scorch right now. Leaves the game without a lot of Dinos, items and content for megas really to take advantage of.
The notice from NASDAQ is letting Snail know that because their stock price has fallen below $1.00 per share for 30 days they are likely going to be de-listed off (removed from) the NASDAQ stock exchange. This will likely decrease the trading activity in Snail's stock, but I have no idea what the daily trading volume looks like for Snail and I don't care enough to go look it up. Sorry.
We’re talking here 0.99,1.99,4.99 to 9.99 I’ve been playing since 2018 compared to most games out there ark is no where near money scheme, a dollar or 5 even 10 to spend on a game you love, I don’t think it’s not much to ask.
There are no official servers for ASE, so it isn't true people are just playing for the maps. There are unofficial servers and big money. ATM ASE is a huge P2W with people readily forking out hundreds of dollars monthly.
Just hope they will soon speak about the new ue 5.4 upgrade

i think its more along the lines of people wanting to play all the maps and getting impatient with the time its taking for the maps to be released. Yes the maps r updated but there is not enough changes on the maps to keep people around for more then a month or so.
I just got the game and it doesnt freaking have a mouse scrolling feature for the hotbar, i almost died... any mod to fix that?
Snail has 180 days to get the stock price at $1.00 or higher. Must be maintained for at least 10 consecutive days. Various strategies could be used to attain a higher price. These strategies are not always the best thing to do long term. If delisted snail could still trade on the over the counter market but that means higher transaction fees. Stock holders will not lose shares if delisted. Ark is a very good game and could be sold. This is likely not the end of Ark.
Could be dropping the price so they can purchase the shares back and transition to a privately held company.
In my personal experience with games, the playercount is mainly because there are People that Absolutely LOVE the later maps that the game has. I am one of them, but I just love ASA graphics. The other issue is how beefy the game is. on a 3050 on med, I was getting just over 30fps. I upgraded to a 3070, and now have 40-50 fps, but ALL other games got DOUBLE frame rates.
Being an IT Tech also, I can say that most ppl are still on cards ranging from 2070 to 3080s, the 4090s (that are needed for full experience) are WAY too expensive for most of us. 2000+$ for a card is insane. The third and main issue is SnailGames.... Wildcard needs a new "Boss" and if that doesn't happen, then Yes, definitely, They will bring this game down with them...
If these issues can be rectified before everyone looses interest completely with ASA, and if they keep bringing up new maps I think it will be just fine. oh, well I think youre right with the comments you made that coincide with my comment lol

They're overdoing the maps on ASA which wasn't needed and ASE is much more stable.

If they really want to make money they already have the key. ASE has gotten me to spend more on it than any other game I've played. Through the new maps with new content. And don't just focus on ASA, it's probably going to be 5 - 6 years before technology catches up to be able to play ASA without crashing, and be readily available to large portions of the player base. Afterall there's a reason ASE still has like 65% of the overall players between the two.
TBH id have a little more sympathy for both companies if they were just. HONEST with us and up front. No last second news no beating around the bush or ignoring questions
Let snail go under and either let another more reliable publisher (that will listen to the community) take over OR let the community crowd fund ASA and end the "shareholder calls".
The only "shareholders" you should be responsible to as a dev are your players, as at the end of the day they are the ones who provide the funding to do your job. The least you can do is give the people what they want!

I want a good PVP/PVE servers like ATLAS has, You where right ATLAS is a great game especially when you where getting into rare+ boats and running krakens. We had a castle at the tip top of the mountain the only way to get up was with hooks every material was hand carried... ATLAS Really was fun and having that 12 hours of free build time was the reason.

There are two reasons i can still see people playing ase 1 they have a potato pc and won't / can't afford to upgrade 2 they are the kind of players that have put X K hours in and dont want to loose the time.

my personal opinion is: people are hopping back to ASE because they are tired of all the delays and they want all the maps and all the creatures and stuff.. and in a year or two, once ASA is on same Map-Status they will switch to ASA.. maybe xD

As a pvp offical player with over 26k hours I WANT to play ASE because it's more solid and you're right the map selection helps but the real problem is none of us WANT to play either version because of the cheating and abuse on wildcards part. If the cheating was dealt with and content was more fresh and exploits were dealt with properly without just rolling back the servers the game would be gold. Look at MTS as an example. If all of ark was dealt with like MTS it would be the best state it's ever been.
Ya part of it s all the maps. But i think the big thing is the servers on ase are private owned servers so they are actually policed and tickets get taken care of not just the popular streamers getting priority.
Also i thought it was funny they tried making the game all pretty and nice looking, the average ark player plays pvp and most use ini to remove things so the game runs better. Even console players go to admin commands on single player for preview mode when they are raiding or pvping.
Asa was obviously a cash grab just like atlas.
I think most will stay in ASE because they don’t have to deal with the pay to win, you have it in your map even if you don’t want to bullshit.
@@WolfconeI don’t mind playing ASA console onlys. No cheating, but the game is not optimized and people building in the mesh. Like it’s not fun. I don’t think people should be able to build in artifact caves unless there is monthly wipes. There pretty unraidable without cheating.
Damn. I loved atlas so much. Hasn't been playable for me on single player since the update after the automated farming buildings, which sucked cuz I loved that feature as a solo player and builder. But it's been insta crash since then and I miss it terribly :/ my ark raft game is getting strong tho since I can't play atlas lol. Inverted roofs under ceiling tiles make awesome looking boats.
ark does belong to wildcard and snailgames doesn't really own it which means wildcard has every right to leave snailgames and take ark with them
I love playing ark but problem they got is now they bring in power rangers and trains its turning into a primal age sims game go back to what it's ment to be a 100% dino survival game

Snail has launched several games using Ark as the base game such as Dark and light Atlas and probably more that just feel like money grabs.
That's why ASA isn't doing so great, no body wants to pay for something they litereally just paid for not too long ago, ontop of having it all pay to win and have everything coming out costing more and more, especially if there isn't going to be anything bundled like it was with ASE. Ontop of most people can't even run the game because it's unplayable with the settings.
Hey Dom. I think you nailed it on the head when you said a quick money grab. If you think about the ASA its basically evolved just from the early days of evolved. As much as it sucks...... it seems to me like ASA is more of a test with the unreal engine tech and new consoles to hopefully get it right for Ark 2. Now i could be wrong but thats the way it feels to me. And as frustrating as it is if the community adopts that mindset that its a test game for them to get it right for ark 2 then it becomes easier to stay with it and be a little more understanding and more curious how the game is going to grow
I means Ark asa could lose snail games as a publisher, then they could get a new publisher or Ark will no longer progress with updates, maps etc so it could go either way

Imagine they removed the ability to host private servers ie nitrado from ASE. Wouldnt suprise me to try move player base to ASA
The biggest thing about ark evolved is the lag they should have just remastered ark evolved and made it to where it had no lag no issues like that and the game where they had another 8 years but like always people only care about money so therefore they come out with s***when all reality they could have just put what they put in this new game they could have put in ark evolved and just extended it and would have made more money if they actually think about it but they want money now now now now now now now and sometimes I just not the way to go sometimes you got to run with what you got and improve it and make it better and then you'll see it was for the best

I THINK THE BIG ISSUE WITH ATLAS WAS NOT MAKING ANY REAL NEW MAPS ... AND THEIR FIRST MAP DELT WITH LITERALLY MORE THAN 100 SERVERS ... 1 SERVER TAKING ON EACH OF THE SECTIONS OF THE MAP. AND FOR ANY PRIVATE SERVER TO REALLY USE THE MAIN MAP THEY WOULD HAVE TO INVEST IN THAT MANY SERVERS. WHICH WAS INSANE!!! THEIR SECOND MAP MADE PEOPLE HAPPY BECAUSE YOU JUST REALLY NEEDED 1 SERVER TO PLAY IT BUT IT WAS NO REAL STORY OR CONTEXT TO EITHER. AND THEY NEVER REALLY MADE ANY NEW EXTRA MAPS... ALL THEY DID WAS REMADE THE MAIN MAP WITH ACTUAL CONTENT JUST MOVED EVERYTHING AROUND... SAME AMOUNT OF SERVERS PER ECTUON OF THE MAP PER GAME SERVER.. THAT IS WHAT KILLED ATLAS!!!
Unfortunately i cannot play Asa just because they put it on cloud gaming and i cannot access that in my region😢 so yea i can only play evolved… so sad.
