To the people who wanted fancy castles and siege warfare I hope you are ready to wait 2-5 years.
Yes I am
Time is fine for quality
Even after Steam and Hooded take their cuts he's got tens of millions now. Even if he only got a quarter of the first week's sales he'd have $20m. It will go faster than before because as Rev said he's hiring people. I expect this will be a No Man's Sky type of saga.
I think full release will be within now and 3 years. at most. I think sooner. He's practically got the basics out of the way, the game functions. Now all there is to be done is to add upon the existing things. We know they're transfering to UE5 from UE4so after that basically full production can go into effect. I think, especially with the steady post launch updates that we will see something before christmas. Not a complete game but the first larger update will be this year, im sure of it. Not saying a new mechanic or something, just stuff like a new map or the addition of more buildings which were already voted for on the discord.
Let's not forget hiring new people and training them so they can have the same goal as you is harder than you think. But if Rev is a capable manager this won't be a problem@@HansWurst1569
It is confirmed that Manor Lords has been in a stop for a while because Slavic is busy porting the game to UE5. After that, development will continue smoothly just like when it released
What's up Willard
@@blancman Hey, Robert
@@bilioss skibidi toilet
I could have sworn he said he won’t be doing that.
@@Hockey-gn2tj yeah he said he's porting it to ue5 now so don't rly matter what he said in the past
There was a poll some time ago on their Discord server, and people wanted walls, which would take a while to implement, and Greg was worried that if he does it, people would start yapping “slow updates, dead game”
Well they’re focused on UE5 so I’d imagine that’s why they’re holding off on it, not that walls themselves will take too long but dividing attention between the engine conversion and new stuff would make people think that the game is dead
People will sadly always do that /:
Honestly he should not listen to the community at this point. The community is mentally handicapped. They ask for useless stuff nonbody actually wants that just break the game for no reason. He developer shiuld continue doing like he did before, alone. Without the community.

It is not a combat game…. my feeling is it needs a way to identify the different industry buildings. I.e. pack stations, warehouses etc.
1)Ai factions on the map Age of empire style.
2) castles, walls and siege equipment
3) option for larger armies for us with nasa computers
4) coop
5) modding
Those 5 things would elevate this game above total war for a long shot for me
Wait 5 years and if you are lucky maybe
thats 5 things but I agree :D
Castles and seiges are confirmed on their discord. There was a vote for what we want in game first. And people voted for AI oponents on map for 2024 and so goal for 2025 or atleast part of it will be castles EDIT: also specific city walls separet from the manors walls
This game will never try to go above total war. The game is a city builder first. This has been said like a million times by now...
Modding exists and all other features listed are gonna get added, also the game isn’t particularly hard to run so larger armies with some optimization wouldn’t be hard. I modded a large army in on my mid PC and it wasn’t that laggy
@@HansWurst1569 modders going to give you something to chew on
There are two things I really wish in this game and that are „easy“ to implement
1. a stable for your manor to get mounted units in the game
It would be so nice to have a high skill city with knights
They shouldn’t be overpowered but I think if you could bring 12-30 knights into a battle it would be amazing
2. a more interesting map, maybe like a big river with only 3 crossings or regions with different resources
First, it needs a good story, then we need an ai enemy to build a city at the same time as us, we can be enemies or friends with it.or if it's will be online its amazing. The stronghold became a stronghold because of its deep stories.
Developing an AI like that is so hard without giving it massive cheats to keep up, so be prepared to see an enemy village with 10 houses and 3 full groups of militia
I'd like to see wildlife that the player has to interact or at least think about such as wolves, bears & boars. Hunting camps could be used to protect from these. The addition of cuniculture (rabbit farming) would also be a nice detail relative to the time setting.
Generally further detail & integration on chicken & goat upgrades to houses with regard to the benefits they provide. Feathers, poultry meat, goat meat, milk & cheese should all be available & used by the economy.
Fletchers required to produce arrows to limit the spam of archer units. Archers are always an OP military unit but making their ammo a limited commodity will help.
Vineyards for the production of grapes & wine should be a given future addition. Similar build up time to orchards but with great long term value.
We have apiaries but no mead?! Its sacrilege I say! I accept monasteries are not currently in game so perhaps they should be. It could be a way to add another detail build to the game akin to the regional manors but with a limit of 1 per map. Let us attract monks for mead production & service to our lord the father, the son, the holy ghost.
I could keep going but this is plenty to think about 😂
I think most of the house upgrades should also be transfered to relevant buildings. Like a specific cobbler workshop, or allowing vegetables to be farmed in a field
I like the monastery idea a lot
Like you get special influence and it could also serve as a place for special production, like books
But it also got very high demands
wine, bread,candles, meat, lambs etc
Few things:
-Soldiers cheer a little too often while fighting. The cheer should only happen after defeating or breaking a group of troops.
-Garrisons should be separated per region. Your troops shouldn't be limited to a specific total but it there should be different pages that each refer to their specific regions. This is incredibily annoying as as of right now, you cannot defend regions that are further away if you possess most of the troops in your main region.
-A bigger map would be better in order to have more AI opponents, together with the possibility of actually establishing relationships with other barons. Joining allies with them or establishing trade routes etc.
-Possibility to pick which animals that you're going to assign to specific work areas, which would be the same mechanic as the families assignment system. This would allow us to give horses only to traders and so on.
-OBVIOUSLY, add a troop that uses horses(with their own armor too), but that's definetely coming in the future
then other than that ive met one bug which I found really annoying.
For some reason my hunters would go hunting outside of the map instead of the nearby hunting grounds, and even after selecting the specified area, they would say that there were no hunting grounds nearby. Making the animals migrate did not fix this either.
Carots where not in Europe until the 17th Century, the first ones where white and where imported by the Dutch (of course) from Afghanistan. So carots in this game a not realistic.
The games set up now should be half of the game. They need a strategic map where you can pick your next "map" where you go to play the game as it sits now to control that map and gain the piece on the strategic map. In play there should be some huge builds to take up, like mega castles, or what ever mid evil mega project i cant think of now. Stuff like that would be yummy.
Waiting for Multiplayer, all hell break loose for sure, goofing around with your mates on Discord, building up army to screw each other up, can't wait for that at least in a couple of years.
But for now, I give it a rest.
We hoping and bragging too much until most of us forget that the dev just only one guy
I am still hoping for normal family dynamics, like children being born, growing up and moving out to start their own families etc... I have to say that without it and with a 'flat family' of a wife, husband and a son in each household it just feels flat and unrealistic :/ I own the game but do not play it much - I hope that adding normal family dynamic is somewhere in the plans and will be eventually added.
Definitely think this is a great game for mods like some people are really creative and being able to play a game of thrones version of this would be awesome but even more of a open world where you put your town anywhere and build it from the ground up not being locked in by set boundaries
It's an amazing base to work from. Their will be hundreds
Isn’t that the point of this game you got a specific place from the king and you have to make it work ?
Sure to choose the region you wanna start would be cool for a „creative“ mode
He proved himself...so I expect good things from him.
He proved his pockets are full and doesn't need to do anymore for anyone.
@@ItIsYouAreNotYour Are you a bot or a bugmen? You understand time and how it works?
How did you put your logo as your coat of arms in the game?
Bigger maps, Better modding options and official tools, unit veraiety, cavalry, more commodities to grow and extract, larger maps and maybe regional view beyong the county, proper wall mechanics with sieges and archers be along the walls, better tradding mechanics.
This game is a real upgrade from lords of the realm 2
What a great game! A blast from the past.
Can't wait for full overhaul mod. More game dav need to interact with modding community, remind me of wall light mod in RimWorld that got ascended into the main game.
More game devs need to do better work than the modding community. So sick of the modding community completing broken/bugged/boring games for them.
@@ItIsYouAreNotYour what can you expected from cooperate bullshit.
I do not tolerate laziness and this guy delayed the game again and again. I did not buy it because it was clear to me that he will not keep up with adding additional content. Not trying to be hostile but we experienced it with Timberborn, Captain of Industry, Foundry, Factorio, Enshrouded, Palworld. all those devs I trusted and they are resting on their laurels.
You can currently turn the King's Tax off and modify if and when brigands and raiders spawn.
Im just happy to be able to play it even with its current state and am more than happy to wait a long time for more features for this game and future updates i am so pleased with this game.
I agree, I would love to have mods in Manor lords.
One thing that can be implemented in the short term is replacing the global cap of 6 militia to maybe 6 per region,
There's no need for that much militia right now though.
@@MikaelKKarlsson how do you combat raiders when owning More than one region though? Do you spawn 1 milita + the local retinue in each region?
@@enldd Raiders are made up of the weakest type of unit in the game, which means any kind of unit you can put in their way is at an advantage. Or equal in the case of the cheapest mercenaries. Anything combined with a retinue goes a long way, and there's usually time for nearest region units to arrive in support.
If the attacked region has some basic weapons stored then you can instantly raise a unit of militia there in a pinch.
Coming from camp Dwarf Fortress, I see this as a game I put a couple dozen hours in, wait a year for a big update and play a couple dozen more. Rinse, repeat. I'm not in a hurry.
The game is being migrated to unreal engine five, I don’t believe anything new is going to come out until after the migration is complete.
I played this for a bit, but it is simple and i dropped it after 5-10 hours.
This with multiplayer battles would be my absolute dream game 😮😂
I know it's still being developed but it would be cool to get a map kinda like Rimworld. Like lets say the regions can be divided up like it already is but maybe all the regions make up idk an entire province or something. and a bigger world in Europe with multiple provinces that can be loaded in and IK it sounds out of scope but trade on a grander scale between provinces with resources from their regions. and maybe like the small parts of North Africa and Asia Minor that are not playable but maybe like a bigger trade hub to lets say the silk road separate from the kings road.
That’s a far future thing, I think ai towns and a larger map to allow for more AI and large multiplayer lobbies should be priority one map wose
Anno 1800 have a good story great DLC and is a pearl of a game...ML is good as it is now and im sure it will become GREAT
I generally fear and hate pressure of fans... People like to complain about game producers, though it is gamers who shape producers by feeding them... And gamers demand novelty, but at the same time keep pushing to repeat solutions best known to them...
A choice must be made: high quality or hype and marketing bullshit.
I feel like the democracy needs to be improved but before that they need more ai lords that could also have vassals

Well it ever come to console?
I have this game on GOG
Steam Workshop
Is he not working on the unreal engine 5 port atm ?
He is
Parapets moats and trebuchets!!! Please.
I just want my militia to actually wear my colors and not look identical to bandits and the barons men.
Needs more effort put into the city builder not the combat. This game will never have a bunch of combat. Combat will never be the focus of the game.
and a update where you can make the towns from kcd...
Is Greg really a one man team? Most dev teams employ at least 50 programmers and testers for minor games and hundreds for a major game. I am guessing this game will have all these bugs one year from. Mastering this is a horrible expenditure of time. I am going back to modding Total War titles.
it's not even a similar type of game to total war.
@@lmao.3661it is though. Like battlefield to call of duty, they do different things but they still share core components. You city build on a macro scale in TW, you micro it in ML, battles are huge between kings in TW, they’re small in ML. They are different, but implying they’re entirely different is wrong. They’re both RTS games that split focus between combat and nation (or small village) building
This is a stupid take, I haven’t encountered any bugs in the games I’ve played, which is actually significantly less than in almost every TW mod and most TW releases lmao
@@oldylad Really? It's a hot mess. Many other channels have stepped back. New ones have no idea. I can't play a game without ending at -500 due to Royal tax. It is broken.
I brought it and it switches my PC off after 30 mins 🤷🏻
Something like your CPU could be overheating or power supply issue, but UA-cam comments is not really the place to ask for technical help.
That's yours PC's issue not the game, it'll be overheating and shutting down to save itself from breaking
I think a good template would be to look at the Anno games. Pretty similar but Anno pioneered a lot of the things that ML is missing right now.
I was really disappointed in Manor Lord's. I think i fed way too much into the hype for it to be an extremely mediocre game. Yes it is an early access game, but it's very bare bones. It might be 5 or more years before it is in a good state if it isn't abandoned before then.
Early access with one dev and it’s one of the best RTS games I’ve played, though it needs more so does every game. You definitely overhyped yourself, stop doing that shit. You do it to yourself
Yeah it sounds like you did. Manor lords didn't dissaopint you, you dissapointed yourself by creating a unrealistic image of the game in your head. We've all do it at some point i guess now you know what not to do next time.
Over hyped game.
Manor lords needs any fucking updates.
Slavic Magic got rich and just left this game
It is too late. There is no strategy in this game and only one AI opponent.
Dead game.
Songs of syx is a better game
lol i bet they cash out and abandon the game i actually regret buying it i feel like nothing is going to happen
They’re moving the game from UE4 to UE5, stop being a TikTok brain
@@oldylad warbox migrated from UE4 to UE5, and it went to shit, so i dont have hope for manorlords.
What a disappointment this game has been. I really thought this time it would be different but it's just another overhyped fiasco. In its current state it's unplayable: it doesn't explain you how the economy works and overcomplicated logistics, and without enemy castles there is nothing to do in the game anyway
This game is boring
