sorry for taking so long to post. We recorded this video like 5 days ago but it took forever to edit. Ever since we've started recording from the PS5 we've been getting alot of audio issues and this one had ALOTTT. Plus the video being this long meant a really big file size so that makes it harder. Anyways we found a way around it for future uploads. Wont happen again 🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@sadisticwinter8354 I almost quit after Joel's death but I'm glad I didn't. This is definitely one of the best games I've played. Ellie & Abby both went into beast mode in their own way.
Best one liner 9:16. "...I just kept in inhaling balls..." as a way of describing drinking boba tea is wild🤣42:40. I understand that Ellie wants to nab Abby; Going after Tommy was probably a way to mask her revenge. Now Jesse sees that Ellie wants to go after Abby the entire time. However, the plan was to get Tommy and bring him back. Plus with Dina being pregnant now making sure that she is brought back to Jackson to be tended to is the priority. Jesse is looking at the bigger picture in order to help Tommy and Dina. Ellie can't do that because she's blinded by revenge. 54:34. Cock you what Vash?🤨 1:00:52 Ellie kinda broke the fourth wall after you mentioned the game "...this game not linear as we think" 1:25:12. Next episode are we still gone be on fuck Abby?
ashley johnson's performance is just incredible. when ellie found out the truth, her cries were so heartbreaking, but also such believable voice acting/mocapping. ashley is the GOAT.
Im writing this after finishing the intro of this video Yah missed the actual point of that line "I made her talk" she said it as in she pratically tortured her into giving answers. That was the first time Ellie did something of that caliber. Sure she's killed humans before for self defense reasons and to survive but that was the first time she wasn't in danger she's the danger and she went as far as beating someone to near death to make them reveal someone's position before ultimately killing her. That's why she was shaking because it was a breaking point for her. Nora did say things about Joel as well like why they did what they did but the main point of that scene was the actions Ellie did to obtain that
Small thing I notice here Ellie anger at Joel for lying, but she lied to Jessie about Dina’s pregnancy at first. Thats probably why she has those memories of Joel lying resurface and why we don’t see them again after she tells the truth to Jessie.
nah we were getting flashbacks of her and joel's fall out the entire game. ellie didn't tell jesse about dina being pregnant because it simply wasn't her place, seeing as dina's the one who's pregnant and all😀
There should be a “hmm” counter for this series cause homeboy on the right saying it every time something slick is said lol. Make a drinking game outve it.
u guys are in for a treat after this lol, i hope u enjoy the next part because IN MY OPINION i love the story coming up more even though i was angry af playing it at first lmfao hope this wont make u stop playing the game because genuinely the next part is actually good lol please please pleaseeee have more of an open mind playing the second half of the game, and try to enjoy it because its worth it
They wondering if ellies turning into joel. Think its pretty clear already. She leaves her pregnant girlfriend on her own to "bring back tommy" when in reality, its to find and kill abby herself
But you really think about it, the world will never be the same even if there was a cure. And everyone has their own groups now, which of some are not even worth saving. People are to stubborn to unite.
But it wasn’t just about bringing the world back to the way it was It’s also having a chance to survive against the infection I mean, just the idea of being able to save a loved one that got bit would be incredible.
@@Zero-ej9re Very true, geez. I just know it’s such a hard decision to make and Joel definitely did not hesitate or think twice about saving little Ellie. I think we all did in that moment though. It’s tough to not take action knowing someone you love dying or will die. Not thinking of any repercussions in the end.
I think I heard somewhere they could not make an actual vaccine to the spores stuff which is why humanity ended. That by killing Ellie for the cure, it would have been just a theory and maybe went to those that would actually take it for themselves and be selfish. So even though Joel lied and would be considered a monster for all that he has done, he is also the hero in a sense since he saved a life that eventually becomes her surrogate father, even if they found a cure, people would have been selfish with it anyways the way things were going and how would anyone restart the population without some form of dictatorship since many at this time already have groups of people in their own camps going crazy or doing some off the wall kind of thing. I think Joel did the right thing yet paid the price for also doing what he did. Ellie deserved better
Halfway through the video, enjoying myself as always! To clear up a couple of things you guys were talking about: 1) Whether the vaccine would have worked is left open to speculation, but largely irrelevant in the end. We all love Joel, but his choice to save Ellie--no matter how much we understand it on a personal level--was incredibly selfish and, as far as we know, doomed any 'known' hope to restore the world. Whether or not that would have happened, again, is irrelevant. He took away that chance and he took away peoples' hope. In doing so, he also took Ellie's agency. Put yourself in her shoes... she's got to walk around living her life, carrying this terrible secret, knowing Joel is lying to her but not really having the details. She's been gaslit by someone she trusts more than anyone else for years and it's eating at her. Upon learning the truth, now picture looking around and realizing all of the people suffering around you might have had a way out. Ellie feels like all the sacrifices along the way were in vain when she would have been prepared to die if needed, even if she didn't know that was the outcome back then. 2) Jesse wasn't bailing on Ellie, he asked her on several occasions whether she'd be okay with going and getting Tommy and leaving Abby & company alive. Ellie kept stalling for time. She might have really believed it at the time she answered, but in the end--when the decision mattered, she chose revenge over finding Tommy and getting out of there. That put off Jesse, who was more worried about getting Dina and Tommy home safe--which Ellie should have been thinking about (though we understand why she wasn't). Jesse was definitely a ride-or-die, he just didn't wanna take unnecessary risks for personal vendettas.
Everytime they bring it up, im going to. Joel is not the goat. Everyone saying that is thinking from his perspective about protecting his "daughter", but not from an outside perspective. How many daughters and sons you think died to zombies or raiders due to the fact that the apoc lasted longer than it needed to cause of joel. Everyone is always thinking of themseleves in joels shoes and protecting their family. But what about if you were anybody else in that world and you saw your family get torn apart by infected, which would not have happened if the fireflies got the cure. Would you still say hes the goat?

Giving props to Lunar for noticing the map that Ellie has left behind.
Right, cuz some people missed it and didn’t understand how Abby found them.
"She came by herself" Yeahhhh
Abby's story is crazy. Can't wait to see y'all go through the rest of this game.
Hopefully they carry through lol I know some people either tapped out after Joels death or once the perspective switched to Abbys.
