NROTC NSI Interation 3 Small Arms Marksmanship Training Pictures

Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) midshipmen candidates from New Student Indoctrination Cycle 3 conduct small arms marksmanship training (SAMT) at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command (RTC), on board Naval Station Great Lakes, Ill., July 25.
SAMT uses red laser lights and pneumatic air to simulate the firing and hits on a computer target.
NROTC is under the leadership of Commander, Naval Service Training Command (NSTC), Rear Adm. Craig Mattingly. NSTC supports 98% of enlisted and officer initial accessions training. This includes RTC, NROTC at over 160 colleges and universities, and Officer Training Command in Newport, R.I..
