Im still strugling to get all of the japan historics 2 set im missing the nicest ones the 510 & the skyline but i just got the yellow fairlady today. Anyhow what i wanted to say is u mentioned not caring to much for the mclaren but it had nice wheels i thought i found one that was missing its interior. Any idea when the blue copo camaro that u can see parked on the package in the cars n donuts set is coming out ? The missing 6th car. Or so i thought. Idk i was told that they were coming out with a set and each of the cars in the set were gona complete all of the '17 car culture sets. One for track day , one for cars n donuts ect. Idk but yeah Take it eazy bud!
This series is so expensive per car !! Had the whole set and went to check out came up 5.49 per car so I left them at the store also most of the blisters were cracked open on the end like some kid squeezed them all or got damaged in transit was weird... Looks like I made my comment before hearing about the reason for the busted blisters
Yeah they are definitely pricey but they are nice and it is what you would pay for retro entertainment cars. I do think they should be about $1 cheaper though. Thanks for watching
The whole set is way whoomphatastic. I think I would have to buy all of these if could as they are all essentially new castings and I don’t have any 510 models with metal bases. I’m loving the full tampo action as it places them up with R2 for details. The laurel is my favourite, I just love that green I think. Price point is it the same as a Johnny now? It’s probably right if so. If not it should be.
They are $0.50 cheaper than Johnny's and $0.50 more than Auto World cars at Walmart (Auto World's really are a bargain if you can actually find them in the wild). They cost the same as Hot Wheels Retros. I know that I shouldn't complain since we get this stuff way cheaper than can be found overseas but I think that the appropriate price point here should be $4.50 as they do not have to pay for the licensing as they do with Retros.
Kyle Soler Tomica Limited Vintage And Kyosho don’t and are twice this price. Majorette do and are less. Opening features are amazing but not totally necessary.

My favorite car out of the whole line is the green one I saw a lot of those cars in Target and a lot of the all messed up the car the falling out of the package
I love the simplicity of this set and that it has tampos where it counts, headlights and tailights. It almost looks like a Matchbox set if you think about it. My favourites are the Nissan Laurel 2000 and the Skyline C210. As the price increase: Depends on who you ask. People in the US are used to pay only $3.5 for these, but we never got such low prices in Europe (5+ euros a pop from European online stores was the usual price). Scalpers are gonna snatch them even with their increased price anyway, making the desirable castings even more expensive. In any case, thanks for the presentation!
I know we shouldn't complain here.. we get a lot more choices in diecast here and a lot cheaper than can be found overseas. However knowing that retros here are the same price I think the car culture series should be a little cheaper since they do not have to pay for the extra licensing as they do with the retros. i think 4.47 would be more appropriate price. I have not met one collector that likes or more importantly, wanted larger cards. now protector packs are even more expensive
I agree. I dislike the bigger cards for sure. I guess the excuse for the bigger cards is that it will allow them to use larger castings. I know there will be a VW Panel Bus in the next series and maybe we will also see a Long Gone or Convoy Custom in a future release. Thanks for watching
This was somewhat enjoyable... ;) Really great set. I am so glad Hot Wheels is finally stepping up their game with the Car Culture series as my only complaint has always been the lack of details. So yes, i am ok with the price increase as long as they don't skip on those details anymore. But there is no guarantee as, the Retro/Replica line has shown. Anyways, Season 3 of Car Culture is starting very well and i am looking forward to the rest.

Here's the thing about Lamley Group: he's a very nice, knowledgeable, fantastically brilliant fellow. He might be the most knowledgeable person I've ever seen on the PLANET, when it comes to die-cast collectables. With that being said, he is, somewhat of an "insider" collector. Meaning, I believe he has connections to SOMEONE at Mattel, Matchbox, ect. He gets ALL of the series before anyone. I would bet he doesn't pay for MOST of his cars. Sure, if I had those types of connections, I would take full advantage, too! He has a very successful UA-cam channel. He gets, at least 20-30,000 views per video. Trust me, he is a VERY useful promotional for Tomica, Mattel, Matchbox, and other die-cast companies.

$30 really isn't much more than retail so I think you did good. Some folks are trying to get $60 for these sets.
