Even if Miku becomes fluent in English, I think she effectively writes lyrics that mix English and Japanese (including kanji idioms). She knows that enthusiastic band-maid fans will find out what it means on their own, where it's cooler to express it in Japanese, or where it gives a sense of drive. 2:25 "百聞は一見にしかず" (The meaning can be understood by seeing it once rather than listening 100 times) I was surprised that such an idiom would be the lyrics.
What's really cool is that as great the music is, the vocals are actually better...seriously. This is one badass track that keeps growing on every listen.

I think Akane is even better playing restrain, mainly with the accents, than when she goes gorilla mode. The complete last verse sounds with some slow double bass. Amazing. She´s a complete an absolute artist. For example her work in the song Wonderland is out of the charts.
She can do whatever the situation calls for. As someone who's also a fan of fusion jazz, I also appreciate her super-creative abilities - like you say, for ex., on Wonderland.

As a drummer you should check out Black Hole, it's Akane's favorite song on the new album and the fastest BPM they have done yet. It would be Audio only but still be good reaction from you specifically, although there might be there are few more videos coming out. I think its 1 a week over the next 3 weeks.

I think Band Maid aren't a rock band any more. They are a group of wonderfully talented young women who are composing and playing their own music and it can't be pigeon holed ( pun intended).
I don't know why but a lot of reactors do not like this song. I really think they just don't get the bluesy vibe to it , But this song jams...... btw it's Misa's fav and if you listen to the bass lie you can tell why !!!!!
