Wow a quick video in which I finally understood what is parallax and how to fix it. I can’t fix something if i don’t know what I’m supposed to fix. Everyone explains it different and i just happen to understand his demonstration a lot better. I’m new using scopes and i just wanted to learn everything I need to learn about them before everything I shoot I miss then wind up breaking a 500$ scope lol so thank you for the video 👍🏻
A very good explanation for many shooters especially for the ones buying second plane focus scopes that are less expensive therefore making it easier to acquire for budget buyers. Vortex is an example of producing and selling a healthy amount of second plane because of their quality. Many shooters buy the second plane scopes without having an idea of the meaning of second plane vs first plane. There are innumerable amount of expensive rifles paired with inexpensive scopes and a lot of frustrated shooters blaming the rifle's accuracy instead of looking at the scope. There is what I call a fever with the long range cartridges and rifles shooting beyond 500 yards when most hunting is done between 100 and 250 yards however, a lot of youtuber vloggers are excellent sales people resulting in massive buys of guns and ammo by people that don't have the slightest idea of what they are doing. On deer size game and larger it really won’t cuase misses…… at 300 yards it’s a maximum error of like half an moa so at 300 yards that’s roughly an inch and half

Excellent explanation. You did in less than 4 minutes what many UA-camrs take more than 20 minutes to explain.
Parallax even effects accuracy at 10/20 yards……
Parallax will absolutely cause misses at closer distances then 300 yrds
